Lo confieso, soy una Fujoshi de manual. Esta imagen me representa:
Sin embargo, no puedo evitar ver que el Yaoi tiene sus fallos. Por mucho que lo disfrute, hay que aceptar las cosas. No soy una fanática incapaz de encajar una crítica, tampoco me ciego aunque algo me guste. Y sí, el Yaoi o BL tiene problemas. Graves. Uno de los más grandes es que en muchas ocasiones son historias con elementos tóxicos. Por ejemplo, la cultura de la violación o unos roles que no me acaban de gustar y que se repiten machaconamente. Esto sin contar, que muchísimos personajes masculinos tienen rasgos femeninos (pero eso da para hablar largo y tendido en otro momento). Siguiendo con el tema, mientras que en prácticamente todas las historias hay Ukes y Semes, hay pocas con Suke (donde se intercambian los roles). Además, vemos como en la mayoría de los mangas (o también en animes), uno obliga y fuerza al otro a tener relaciones sexuales (un claro ejemplo de la cultura de la violación), ya que supuestamente, “lo está deseando”. Por favor, aceptémoslo de una vez: NO ES NO. Lanzar el mensaje de forzar a alguien ESTÁ MAL. MUY MAL. Bueno, pues que no cunda el pánico que aquí tenemos algo muy distinto y más oscuro que todos los mangas yaoi que hayáis leído.
Aviso, vienen muchos spoilers (tope de spoilers, incluso con cosas que he leído de Tumblr, luego no me peguéis):
No me extraña que este manga sea alabado por el público y por la crítica. Es una buena patada al género, ganando complejidad y dejando los estereotipos a un lado para lanzarse a una historia totalmente distinta a lo que estamos acostumbrados. El corazón me va a explotar con estos dos.

Ah, Jesus.
This volume contains two of the most intense sex scenes ever (making this not the best choice to read in public). But, as amazing as Yashiro and Doumeki's story is, this is far more than that. It's a very gripping Yakuza story, really, and I was immensely grateful for the who is who in the beginning of the volume because when I was reading this in the magazine I pretty much couldn't keep track. Saezuru Tori is amazing for many reasons - plot, art, characters - but it all depends on Yashiro who is simply one if not the most interesting character I have ever encountered. And the way the other character's story develop around him is a sight to see.
At this point, it looks like it will be at least two more volumes till this is over. An unhappy ending seems unlikely, to be honest - from a reader's viewpoint an unhappy ending in this case would be completely unrewarding. There are cases where it works and is necessary, but in this case - I think an unhappy ending would weaken the story. I am curious how it'll ll turn out. I have all the latest magazines, actually, I just lost track of it over the last months, but I am happy I can catch up a bit more. But really, this is one of the best ongoing BL manga right now. And non-BL l, too. There, I said it.

The plot surrounding the assassination thicks and it's getting quite intense, I'm loving it! When even a blow job scene can express so damn much emotion between the two parties involved, you know the manga-ka must have done something very right!

Kou Yoneda es una diosa. No sólo por crear a dos protagonistas extraordinarios, y tan diferentes, sino también por su capacidad para dejar toda la trama bien atada (detalles tontos incluidos) y por crear esos paneles tan maravillosos que nos regala de Domeki y Yashiro.

¡DIOS MÍO! ¿Qué tiene esta historia que se ha vuelto tan adictiva para mí? Este tomo me ha durado en las manos un parpadeo, me lo he ventilado en un par de horas. Me ha sabido a poco… Tomodomo, por favor, decidme que vais a publicar pronto los siguientes, ¡no nos hagáis esperar mucho!
¿Qué puedo decir? En realidad, para mí, el punto fuerte de esta historia es la relación entre Yashiro y Dômeki. No consiguen despertarme tanto interés los asuntos que se traen los clanes de la yakuza entre ellos, como sí lo hacen las miradas/gestos/palabras dichas y no dichas entre los dos protagonistas. ¡Y mira que yo soy muy fan de las historias de mafiosos y gánsteres! Pero es que con ellos dos, todo lo demás pasa a un segundo plano y no destaca en absoluto, ni siquiera me importa demasiado. Lo que sí me encanta ver es cómo ambos le hacen frente a lo que van sintiendo por el otro, lo perdidos que están en ese terreno.
Yashiro busca llamar constantemente la atención de Dômeki, y sin apenas ser consciente de ello. Dice y hace cosas solo para ver su reacción… Y Dômeki… ¡ay! No sé por qué, pero me inspira ternura, y eso que su adoración por su jefe es hasta incomprensible, dado que apenas se conocen. Pero sólo puedo saltar de la emoción siempre que se quedan solos, estoy atenta al mínimo detalle, para no perderme nada. Solo digo que cuando por fin se decidan a tener sexo me voy a poner a gritar como una loca, literalmente. Estoy en modo fangirl con estos dos.
Puede que para cualquier otro lector esta historia pase sin pena ni gloria, pero a mí me ha enganchado de una manera que no puedo explicar. A lo mejor con el tiempo hasta la llego a olvidar, quién sabe, pero a día de hoy solo por las ansias que me ha creado y por la necesidad de seguir leyendo, no puedo no darle esta valoración. Para mí está mereciendo la pena (de momento).

Es bleibt spannend und man erfährt von den ersten Intrigen in dem Yakuza Clan! Die Verstrickungen und Beziehungen zwischen den Charakteren sind einfach wundervoll ausgearbeitet und fesseln mich immer wieder aufs neue. Die Beziehung zwischen Doumeki und Yashiro rückt in diesem Band in den Hintergrund, auch wenn sie einige Schritte nach vorne machen. Für mich war das aber überhaupt nicht schlimm, da dieser Manga für mich mehr ein Yakuza Manga ist, als ein Boys Love. Und ich liebs

Este tomo baja una estrella porque la mayoría de la trama trata de los líos de la yakuza y pueden ser un poco liosos, sobre todo si no retienes los nombres de los personajes mafiosos aparecidos en el anterior tomo.
También tienen unos cuantos flashbacks explicativos, que en un principio puede confundir, hasta que te percatas que la autora ha utilizado el recurso de utilizar páginas en negro para narrar el pasado.
Peroooooo, la relación entre ellos avanza de una manera que te deja con ganas de más. En ese sentido, punto para la autora, que en un principio daba la sensación de que iba a perpetuar la tensión sexual hasta el fin de los tiempos.

(Relectura) Yoneda eres una maquiavélica de primera. En esta relectura estoy comprendiendo mejor ciertas decisiones narrativas.

WARNING: mild spoilers
This story is getting so twisted I can hardly stand it! First we were lead to believe that Ryuuzaki is the one who tried to kill Yashiro . Then we find out that it wasn't him because he actually has feelings for Yashiro and would never take things that far. To be honest, I was shocked because you'd never know based on the way he talks to him. He did easily cave when Yashiro brought up having sex, but I thought that was just how everyone responded when Yashiro offered.... everyone except Hirata, of course. He never liked Yashiro.
I was reading so fast that I may be mistaken, but, I think everyone now knows the real person behind the attempted murder. Well, at least the people who are in a position to actually do anything about it. My only question is why doesn't Yashiro want Misumi involved? And what exactly is his plan? He's going up against a powerful adversary and I'd think he'd want as many people working on his behalf as possible.
Aside from all of that drama is the matter of Yashiro falling in love with Doumeki. It's happening so fast that he doesn't even realize how much he's changing. It's funny seeing him catch himself getting jealous or acting bitchy around him. Doumeki's plan of not letting Yashiro know that he's in love with him is failing miserably, lol!. EVERYONE around him knows how he feels so he might as well give that up. I hope he doesn't let those fucked up feelings he has about his father hold him back from being in a relationship with Yashiro. He's so freaking adorable (is it terrible that he reminds me of Mori-senpai from Ouran High School Host Club?) and deserves to rid himself of that shitty baggage.
This isn't the type of yaoi I normally read. To be honest, if I knew there was so much extra shit happening in it I probably wouldn't have started it. I'm in it now, though, so I have to see how everything turns out. I really want this relationship to work out because Yashiro and Doumeki both deserve happiness. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a few assholes getting what they deserve. Yashiro is the last person trying to get involved in all this power grab drama and yet here he is getting dragged in against his will. I want this part of the story resolved as quickly as possible to I can just focus on Yashiro and Doumeki.

Saya suka gagapnya Yashiro dengan percintaan. Dia polos(?)nya mengalahkan anak gadis SMA untuk hal percintaan yang pakai hati!
Saking gagapnya, si Yashiro sampai gak menyadari perubahan apa yang sedang terjadi antara dirinya dan Doumeki.
Adegan favorit saya di jilid ini sudah tentu waktu Yashiro narik ujung dasi Doumeki pas Doumeki diajak makan sama Kuga! Fufufufu~ takut ditinggalin Doumeki banget sih, Yashiro~
Habis narik dasi Doumeki, si Yashiro malah kebingungan sendiri: "Ngapain gue nahan dia buat makan?" lol~
Kamu hanya gak ingin Doumeki keseringan bersama Kuga, takut direbut sama Kuga! Dasar Yashiro, gitu aja gak nyadar!
Saya juga suka perubahan di diri Doumeki yang mulai menunjukkan sikap tiada ampun ke lawan kalau sudah menyangkut keselamatan Yashiro. Overprotective seme itu memang asyik dilihat! Doumeki emang punya bibit-bibit do-S sejak awal, cuma bibitnya makin berkembang sejak bersama Yashiro. Dia ngegebukin lawan gak main-main. Mana ekspresi mukanya datar-datar aja, itu yang bikin serem.
Saya juga suka memperhatikan perubahan hubungan Yashiro dan Doumeki perihal ranjang. Yang dulu di jilid-jilid awal si Yashiro oke-oke aja ngebiarin Doumeki tetap berjaga di sampingnya (literally di samping lho!) pas dia main di ranjang (atau selain di ranjang) sama cowok lain. Terus, di jilid ini dia bukan cuma ngusir Doumeki keluar kamar, dia bahkan gak ngizinin Doumeki ngelihat pas dia mau masturbasi.
Lucu aja ngeliat si Yashiro bertanya-tanya sendiri, "Iya juga, kenapa sekarang gue jadi segan gini main di depan dia?"

Terus, baru nyadar si Gie vulgar banget ya nulis review-nya.
Kayaknya kebawa-bawa atmosfer vulgar buku ini.
Kebawa pengaruh Yashiro kayaknya.
Ah, bolehkah buku ini dimasukkan ke "Romance Week"-nya GR? Ini buku romance kok, serius!

I'll start by confessing that I was confused for like 91% of this volume.... But it doesn't feel right giving this less than 3⭐s. Something in me tells me that there's a really great story hidden in here, I just have to find it.
I think my issues come from 3 main factors
1. The speech bubbles are confusing - I'm used to each speech bubble pointing to the person talking. So far in these volumes, only like 5% of the bubbles do that. The rest of the time, I'm left guessing who is talking
2. Aside from Yashiro and Doumeki, all the characters look very very similar. Combine this with the lack of direction in the speech bubbles and you can understand how lost I am.
Ps. My volume had a character breakdown (is that what you call it?) at the end of the volume. That shit would have been beneficial at the beginning. One less thing to be confused about
3. Yashiro & Doumeki's story is getting overshadowed by the mafia shit. Listen, I love me a good mafia story - the betrayals, the murders, the power struggles, we like em all. BUT!!! I need it to take like 3 steps back so we can begin to untangle the complicated mess that is Yashiro and Doumeki

Wow wow wow. Each volume is so good I honestly don’t know what to say that I haven’t said about this story already.
With his volume though I really liked the insight we got into Ryuuzaki and his feelings towards Yoshiro. I find that dynamic to be interesting and it despite him being an idiot, I could also feel his angst at the situation he’s in. Yoneda knows exactly what they’re doing with their writing and drawing, like holy hell.
Doumeki offering to do sexual things to Yoshiro— ooooooo their dynamic is so good. It’s like on a tightrope ahhhhh. The final scene!!! AHHH!!!!!! Absolutely adore how the first scene of Doumeki trying to pleasure Yoshiro verses the final one of the volume. It seems to me like Yoshiro enjoys it because it’s Doumeki and he doesn’t want to enjoy it that way. But idk. Also, I was actually surprised it’s Hirata that ordered the hit in Yoshiro!! Like I gasped and everything oh my god. That reveal is so good and everything is so tangled.
With his volume though I really liked the insight we got into Ryuuzaki and his feelings towards Yoshiro. I find that dynamic to be interesting and it despite him being an idiot, I could also feel his angst at the situation he’s in. Yoneda knows exactly what they’re doing with their writing and drawing, like holy hell.
Doumeki offering to do sexual things to Yoshiro— ooooooo their dynamic is so good. It’s like on a tightrope ahhhhh. The final scene!!! AHHH!!!!!! Absolutely adore how the first scene of Doumeki trying to pleasure Yoshiro verses the final one of the volume. It seems to me like Yoshiro enjoys it because it’s Doumeki and he doesn’t want to enjoy it that way. But idk. I actually just discovered this through browsing the list of new BL anime. It was really interesting! This kind of reminds me of Banana Fish. I was pissed off about Yoshiro for leaving Doumeki but I guess he has his reason—I mean, the first time they did it, the gentleness was so alien to him that it confused/hurt him (I don’t want to judge him for that!)
It hurt me to read about his past! Also every time he was treated so cruelly by those people even though he “like” it and he’s a “masochist”... I just can’t. And there’s Doumeki wanting to cherish and take good care of him! Anyway, as I was saying, he has his reason. Some things are so complicated, or too hard to fathom, so I hope Yoshiro can get an epiphany and take his wall down for Doumeki.

3/5 - The speech bubbles are too messy, making it difficult to figure out who is saying what. This is a personal gripe with the publisher, but there are grammatical errors which break the flow of the story. The translations are also FAR too wordy. Please keep in mind this is consistent accross all volumes, I'm just getting to it now. I still love the characters, but their relationship is getting too absorbed into the convoluted yakuza situation. I feel like their story is now only 1/3 of the actual plot, and I don't like that. The drawing of the background characters who make up the convoluted story also look ridiculously similar, making it even harder to understand what is going on. There is too much fluff. Less is more in this situation.

Yashiro è ancora ferito ma vuole intervenire per trovare Nanahara che ha deciso di vendicare il tentato omicidio del suo capo. Dietro di esso infatti c’è una fitta rete di intrighi fra i membri della Yakuza e che riguardano anche la successione del gruppo. Nel mentre Domeki dimostra non solo a parole ma anche a fatti quanto tenga al suo capo. Che storia! Bellissima l’introspezione e l’evoluzione di Domeki e il suo rapporto con Yashiro, ma anche i vari intrighi che coinvolgono i personaggi della Yakuza sono interessanti. All’inizio si può essere un po’ confusi, ma pian piano procedendo nella lettura si capisce tutto e si apprezza maggiromente questa bellissima storia.
