July 21, 2026Wdym you’re going to say “I love you” and make these permanent decisions and then the next morning you’re like “idk if I can be with them”?! Also I’m sorry but moving on from your dead husband who you “loved” after only 6 weeks is criminal, it should’ve been set at least a couple of months later

This was very cute, straight forward, without a bunch of unnecessary drama. My one big critique of this book would be that it didn't seem like Rose ACTUALLY had a husband and was grieving him. It seemed like he was a good concept for the plot, but the grief part of the story was never fully fleshed out, like I felt it should've been. I wouldn't have minded a bit more angst in that part of the story.
Overall, this was a sweet omegaverse romance with an adorable five year old boy. Good for a fun, light weekend read.

I’m all for Rose moving forward and not sitting in her grief, but six weeks… is that insane? It’s hard to believe she would move on in a little over a month when her husband and someone she claimed to be the love of her life passed that recently. I understand Simon wasn’t her scent match the way Murph is, but within two weeks, she asked him for a claiming bite and told him she loved him. Don’t get me wrong, she still mentioned how she loved her husband and that loving Win, Joel, and Murph wouldn’t take away from it, but it did feel a tad bit soon for the timeline. I wish there had been a longer time jump from Simon passing to the present timeline because then it would’ve made it more believable that she moved on so fast. Logically, how could you fathom loving someone else after your husband of six years has passed, especially when she had known him since sophomore year of college? That’s genuinely so sad. I’m mourning that loss for her. He never even got to know that he was going to be a dad for the second time. It’s devastating.
Yes, they were all super supportive and wanted the best for her and Ben. However, that doesn’t change the fact that, in a matter of weeks, she is thinking about leaving Memphis and settling down in Rios, and she has deep affection for these men. Sam, Simon’s brother, with reason, had a valid concern, and I’m glad that he stopped in town to check on her. I’m surprised her mom was not shocked. I understand the concept of wanting your daughter to be happy, and sitting in grief should not be the norm, but how is she not feeling guilty for loving someone so quickly? I would be reeling in guilt. Anyway, Sam was so supportive, and I loved their relationship. Even though Simon passed, he was the best brother-in-law and told Rose not to feel guilty. He’s better than me. He genuinely just wanted her to be happy, even if his brother wasn’t the one to do it. He was truly one of the best parts of the book because he wanted the best for her, treated her like a sister, and made sure she was loved since his brother wasn’t around anymore. He needs his own love story in Rios, and I can predict he’ll be in a pack with Noah 🙂↕️.
I’ve also read omegaverse where she’s a scent match with all of them, so the levels of insecurity in this one were so different from what I’m accustomed to. It’s not a bad thing. It was just interesting to see how Win and Joel were wary of crossing lines because they thought Murph would be upset since he and Rose were the actual scent matches. Win is a beta, so he was just insecure about not being on the same level. He didn’t think Rose would actually like him, which, he was too caring for her not to. He constantly thought she didn’t reciprocate his feelings, and they had a conversation about it until the very end, where she bit him even though it would fade. She got a permanent mark with Win and Joel.

This was missing my favorite aspect of omegaverse romance, and that’s the heats. Murph made her a nest as a surprise, but that was not enough. There was barely any pack dynamic, and you would think this was a regular why choose romance without any omegaverse elements. I wasn’t a huge fan of this because of the lack of teamwork. It felt like they all had their separate relationships and felt uncomfortable around each other and worried about stepping on each other’s toes, even though Murph would reassure them. I also think it lacked any cute domestic scenes where they would name the baby, go to ultrasounds, etc. Missed opportunities all around.

I came for a cozy small-town omegaverse and stayed for a five-year-old who adopted a firefighter like a stray cat.
Rose is six weeks out from losing her husband Simon and doing the only reasonable thing: throwing her son Ben in the car and hitting the open road. Then morning sickness enters the chat. Surprise, she’s pregnant. Now she’s stranded in Rios, a tiny town with suspiciously good-looking men per square mile.
Joel is the firefighter Ben claims on sight. Win is the sunshine short-order cook who feeds everyone. Murph is the grumpy construction worker who turns out to be her scent match, because of course he does. Before long she’s living in a farmhouse with all three, and leaving starts to feel impossible.
What worked:
Ben. Ben is the book. Every scene with him is a warm hug and I would die for him.
The guys loving Rose AND her son, with zero hesitation about the package deal. Single-mom romance where the ex isn’t a villain? Refreshing.
Win’s insecurity as the beta in the pack gave him actual layers. My sweet anxious cook deserved every good thing.
Murph secretly building her a nest. Grumpy men doing soft things quietly is my weakness and the author knows it.
Sam, Simon’s brother, showing up to check on Rose and then being nothing but supportive? The emotional MVP nobody asked for and everybody needed.
Why not 5 stars:

I understand the pregnancy forced the timeline, but my brain kept doing the maths instead of swooning. The grief felt more like a plot device than something Rose actually carried, and I wanted more weight there.
Also, for an omegaverse, this was very... gentle. Barely any pack dynamics, no heat, and the guys spent more time tiptoeing around each other than functioning as a unit. More chocolate milkshakes than knots, if we’re being honest about it.

Love a good single mom story. And the fact that this one wasn’t built on the FMC being a single mom because the dad was a POS was even better. Although it was grief based still started it with a painful backstory. Witnessing Rose heal while being a single parent after loss was beautiful. Because she didn’t have to do it alone and the guys didn’t rush her. Although omegaverse is very much an instant love based trope, Joel , Win and Murph didn’t overwhelm her with it. They moved at her pace. There was yearning and seduction but there was healing and love too. Plus seeing them not only love her but her son too made it so much better. And the spice….whew let’s just say Murph did not disappoint. All 3 didn’t but he was my favorite lol

I get that being pregnant and having a very curious 5 year old is gonna change the vibes, but if you are looking for a high spice Omegaverse, this ain't it. There were more chocolate milkshakes than knots.

I'm about 80% sure if the series continues we are getting Lora, Noah, Sam, and Caleb making a pack. So that will be interesting.

This was cute. I recently devoured Knot in doubt and I was delighted to know we were getting more time in the beloved new town of Rios. There were some inconsistencies during the reading, like the timeline of how long Rose and Ben had been in told and how long ago Simon had passed but once you got past that it wasn’t hard to stay in the story. Ember also does a really good job at making you fall in love with side characters to the point you can’t wait to read about who’s next (my bets are on Sam and Joel’s brother, Sean?)

Omegaverse fun but there's a thread of grief as well since FMC is a recently widowed single mom. The fact that it's only been 6 weeks since her husband (bonded alpha but not scent match) died has me struggling a bit with the story. I get why it's such a short time (FMC is newly pregnant & her morning sickness is why they stop in this small town) but I think I would have found another reason as the pregnancy really isn't that crucial to the plot imho.

Pero hay dos cosas que no entiendo la primera es que Simon murió y pasaron 6 semanas pero ella ya llevaba como dos semanas en el pueblo y la eco decía que estaba de dos semanas entonces no sé
Además el tiempo no le cuadra para nada
Estoy bastante segura que el siguiente libro es de la sobrina de Nico y que su pack serán los dos bomberos y Sam jajaja

I absolutely loved this one! Knot in Trouble was such a fun, spicy, and heartwarming small-town omegaverse romance. The characters had fantastic chemistry, and I really enjoyed the found-family vibes and emotional moments woven throughout the story. Amber Nicole delivers another addictive read that had me smiling and completely invested. 💕

A sweet omega verse that provides a second chance after loss and grief. A few cameos by Maisie and her guys. We’ve been given clues to the main characters of the next book in the series and I’m very much looking forward to them.

Knot in Trouble: A Small Town Omegaverse Romance (Finding Home Book 2) by Ember L. Nicole – This is on kindle unlimited. My one caveat is that she falls in with three guys 6 weeks after her husband is killed, so she gets some side-eye from me on that. But the town of Rios should post a warning about all the matchmaking that goes down! Happy Reading!

I enjoyed this second book in the series as much as the first. The Characters were likeable, complex and the story had a good depth that made it a little deeper than some omegaverse. In other words it was well worth the read.

“Knot in Trouble,” book 2 in the “Finding Home” series, was such a cozy, heartwarming read with just a touch of heartbreak. I adored Rose and her three men, Joel, Murph, and Win. Rose’s son, Ben, was just as adorable. I loved their story. I was sad when I realized I was on the last page.

This one was cute! I am really enjoying the small town romances right now and this one just fit right in and it was an omegaverse yes please! I did enjoy our characters but I do think the story needed just a tiny bit more depth with the plot. It felt like a million things were added and just circled into the main plot which was just a tad confusing but with that being said the premise was easy to follow.
Overall, this was a cute book! I definitely would continue the series if more came out! 🧯📚💛

It was fine
Predictable and low angst. I typically try to read all my books in one setting because I’m too impatient to wait to see what happens, but I took a break with this book…I was kinda bored and had to come back to it.
