Many people think that being a Christian is like wearing a mask – just another form of pretending to be something you are not. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In this 50-page book, "Be Yourself: Discovering Your Identity in Christ," Pastor Colin Smith explains why the Christian life is all about discovering who you are in Jesus Christ and then being who you are. The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come’’ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Colin S. Smith is senior pastor of The Orchard Evangelical Free Church in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and a Council Member with The Gospel Coalition. I love the simplicity of this little book. Colin Smith shares some incredibly hard to grasp truths in a way that is not watered down but very accessible. He accurately sums up what it means to be IN CHRIST.
Whether you are looking for something to jump start your faith or just need reminding of who you are in Christ after many seasons of being one, this book is a treasure.
