"Birdie is gone… but her past is calling."
I feel beyond blessed to have been chosen as an eARC reader for Madi’s debut novel, Both Sides Now. She has put so much love and care into this and I just want to say thank you, first and foremost for trusting me with a first look.
Both Sides Now is one of those stories that will stick with you, long after the final page is read. Madi perfectly captured the insular feeling of grief; the hurdles of navigating life without someone you love and the journey it takes to make it out on the other side.
To put it lightly, I absolutely loved this book. I felt myself healing alongside Joni and I was lighter and more hopeful upon finishing the story. I was swooning and kicking my feet because Beau as our handsome, Scottish MMC was just divine. He is the greenest of flags and my new book boyfriend for sure!
If you love The Seven Year Slip and magical realism, then this book is for you!
