Dove & Crow

Two handymen off the job. A police raid for a crime they didn’t commit.

Dove and Crow are laying low after their most recent job. This period of relaxation is upended when the police raid their hotel room for a crime they didn’t commit. Confused and lost in an unfamiliar city, the pair decide to investigate who really committed the crime that exploded on their door step. Unwittingly embroiled in a spiraling conspiracy, the duo must uncover if they really are unconnected to the crime that started it all, or if they’re in deeper than they thought.

Dove & Crow is a dark comedy thriller about two men uncovering a conspiracy they didn’t know they were in.

Thank you to the publisher/author for the free ebook via a goodreads giveaway.

This was an intriguing story. The main theme underlying it, not really relevant to the main plot but a good one all the same is basically, if everyone does a little, it comes to a lot.

I did love the plot twist when it all finally came together, but there we were some sad parts. I am glad the author chose to include the epilogue as it was needed to really bring closure, and in the acknowledgements the author does apologize for the way it ended but there was no other way and that is correct. At least I cant come up with a better/different way that would have had the same impact.

This was a GoodReads giveaway win of a Kindle ebook.

This is a stand alone story.

It took me a while to adjust to the writing style. A mystery as to who both Dove and Crow are and what is their goal, which I both liked and disliked at the same time. I do much prefer mysteries that leave more clues along the way for me to start making guesses as to where the story is going. Not a lot of character development. Since this appears to be a one and done book, I am good with that.

Have a GoodReads.

A rambling, frequently amusing, story of handymen of a different ilk. Twists and turns keep you guessing as to what could be going on. Does come to fruition, but it is up to you to do with it what you can.
