Walking with Purpose: Seven Priorities That Make Life Work

Rate this book
Does your life feel out of control? Do you feel that you are doing so many things that you are doing none of them well?

Lisa Brenninkmeyer understands how it feels when life is stuck on the spin cycle. As a mother of seven, she knows we don't just need to be told what kind of women we should be. We need some help getting there.

Drawing from her own experience of balancing marriage, motherhood, and work inside and outside the home, Lisa helps you uncover the key to living a busy life with inner calm. What's the secret? Identifying key priorities, and doing first what matters most.

With humor and wisdom, Lisa will help

Once in awhile, things may seem as if they're under control, but we want to walk with purpose regardless of our circumstances. God wants us to daily experience the joy and contentment that comes from knowing we have given our all to what he considers most important. The abundant and purposeful life we were created to live is just around the corner.

Our group was unable to finish this book. My 2nd time going through it. The author repeats, repeats, repeats herself - feels like she was just trying to up the page count. Also, many, many personal stories. No offense to anyone, but it is often more useful to have life examples from saints instead of mom blog authors. The Bible verses were peppered and forced. Our group chose to just skip the last meeting and give up on the book.

Took me quite a while to finish this book but I always looked forward to reading it. The author provided some realistic solutions to reprioritizing areas of my life. I didn’t agree with all the authors suggestions but realize they came from a good place.

This is my first read by this author. I was unaware of her beforehand. Our church gave this book to mothers on Mother's Day Sunday. It's an 8yr old book, but it still feels relevant with the basic nuggets of truth and supportive stories.
