I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Simon Kenton until I read this book. His life reminded me of Daniel Boone somewhat, only Simon was more of a scout and a boy and man who liked being alone in the wilderness. He served George Rogers Clark and helped settle Kentucky. Very interesting story. There are a few scenes of Indian torture that are not descriptive.
