I love how instantly obsessed he was and how he never let her talk bad about herself. He’d do anything for Savvy and always wanted to keep her safe. She may fight him every step of the way, but secretly she loves everything he does for her.

Absolutely fantastic! So much to love about this story! It has Mafia! It has drama! It has all kinds of lust and love! Everything wrapped up in one neat package! Gabriel is a Mafia leader who comes upon Savvy one day unexpectedly. He is curious and enamored by her to the point he kidnaps her and brings her home. Of course there is more to that but no spoilers from me! Savvy is witty, funny, beautiful but has had a rough upbringing. Can Gabriel change her life for the better? She certainly keeps him on his toes and I loved how she constantly challenges him. They are perfectly imperfect for each other! The story is riveting and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout! A definite must read for all!

If you love a mafia romance or you’re newer to dark romance this is the book for you. It’s got that morally grey mmc who would burn the world for her but also kind of realises his mistakes and grows in the end. It’s got the captive x captor trope that I love, it’s done very well and the power dynamics were on point. It’s definitely a lighter dark romance in my opinion, but the spice was hot and banter was intense so it was amazing. As someone who’s read many dark romance books, the plot wasn’t the most unique and follows a very typical mafia romance pattern (basically mmc becomes obsessed with fmc and can’t let her go and she’s scared but falls in love anyways, queue the third act breakup and the mmc apologises). If you’re wondering why I still gave this five stars despite the very normal plot, it was because of the overall vibe of the characters and the beautiful tension between them (also because the fmcs got a huge praise kink and a mafia hottie saying “good girl” in a book has me on my knees). Savvy (Savannah) is your typical strong fmc but she’s mad enough to try to scam Gabriel which I give her crazy respect for. But Gabriel is just the best obsessed man who just wants to take care of her. It’s just got the prime dark romance vibe of predator x prey and hot power dynamics that I can’t help but fall in love. This book was such a fun and spicy read, and I give it a 5/5

starting off with a dark romance for the month and i don't regret it, but anyway, i enjoyed this book to an extent. gabriel and savvy were alright together and i enjoyed looking at their character development. i did wish that i'd get to see more of savvy's life when she's not with savvy or gabriel because she seems like an independent woman unlike some of the characters i've read in other books.

i think the biggest problem here was that there was a little too much smut. i mean, i'm all for steamy scenes but there wasn't a lot of balance with actual things vs. sex things and that kinda threw me off sometimes. it's kinda one of those lust or love scenarios and even though they do end up loving each other (obviously), it's hard to ignore what got them there in the first place.

also, totally not the author's fault, but sometimes it just got so hard to take gabriel seriously because most of the time his name made me think about other people named gabriel in media (mlb i'm looking at you 👀) and then i would just stop reading for the day. then again, it's just me and my media consumption, so this didn't affect my rating at all.

I am so grateful to have received this book as an arc. I thought this book was a very fun Mafia romance it kept the pace going and I never got bored. If you are looking for a good time that has mafia elements to it I think you’ll enjoy this book. It had me giggling and kicking my feetttttt. I’d say I have been in a mafia book slump, but I honestly had a good time with this because the FMC wasn’t insufferable to me.

A new dark mafia romance, I loved Savvy and Gabriel's story. Gabriel kidnaps Savvy after she tries to run a con in one of his pawn shops. There is an immediate attraction between the two, but Savvy is the epitome of her name and doesn't trust easily. She's especially wary after she learns he's no small pawn shop owner but a mafia boss. The spicy scenes are off the charts, but with every scene we see how these two are both falling more and more for each other. Savvy believes everyone always leaves her, but when Gabriel makes a moves to protect her, she believes the worst. Gabriel has to prove to her that not only can he allow her to make her own decisions, he's not leaving her and will do everything necessary to prove he'll always be the one who won't leave. I loved their back and forth and their HEA.

He takes her to his home to make her repay her debt. Both are attracted to one author but neither are willing to say anything. The back and forth between them was great. Him being a mafia boss and her being a firecracker. This was filled with drama and steam. A really good read.

I loved this morally gray, instant-attraction, Mafia- themed romance by Ms. Stone. It deserves top marks for entertainment value alone! The plot was easy to follow, the characters were likable despite their criminal backgrounds, and Savvy and Gabriel’s relationship was an entertaining battle of wills from beginning to end. Savvy was trouble with a capital T. She was chaotic, impulsive, reckless, and a badass con artist who kept Gabriel firmly on his toes. I loved how she stood up to him and constantly pushed his buttons. Her difficult past explained her trust issues and why she struggled to accept her feelings for Gabriel. Gabriel was everything I enjoy in an anti-hero. Dangerous, powerful, and the head of the Valenti crime family, he was used to getting what he wanted, and he wanted Savvy. I especially liked that when Savvy ran, Gabriel didn’t chase after her but gave her the space to work through her feelings. Their chemistry was charged, their interactions were fun, and there were plenty of sweet moments mixed in with the danger. I only wish Gabriel had been more open about his feelings sooner; it could have saved them both a whole lot of pain. An entertaining, emotionally charged Mafia romance with a deliciously badass heroine and an anti- hero I couldn’t help but love!

I really enjoyed this dark mafia romance. It was a quick read filled with tenaion, spice and crime that kept me turning the pages.

Gabriel and Savvy were engaging and the captive captor morally grey vibes were perfection.

Both MCs having a criminal background was something that I haven't seen before in a mafia romance and I am here for it. Savvy is cunning, smart, and fearless and Gabriel is your sexy, dominate, touch her and die mafia boss. They are perfect for each other. Savvy while a bit reluctant, she is completely drawn to Gabriel, even though she puts up a good fight 😉.

If you are looking for a quick and spicy mafia read to get you into the dark romance world, this book would be a great place to start!

This is my first Measha Stone book and certainly not my last. This was such a great fast paced read, I did it in 1 sitting. I loved the dual povs of course, but the way these characters blossomed was amazing to unravel.

I'll never look at olive oil the same way again. This book is fantastic. The storyline is great and the spicy parts are oh so satisfying without being too in your face.

I love the collision of theit two worlds and gasped in pain when they pulled apart. Im very pleased with how this ended but I need more to their story! Also i want a Cassie & Lucian story too!

I really enjoyed how they both had a criminal career. Not going to say anything on that and give anything away. But our girl had a rough childhood and learned to be independent. So as you can guess it takes a really dominant man to make her let go. And there’s always going to be hiccups at first from all that past trauma. But man are they good together. And the story lines you up for the next in the series. Which I can’t wait for! Should be just as angsty if not more….

I was given an eARC of this book and I finished it in 5 hours.

Savvy tried to con a pawn shop out of a lot of money for diamonds and she is a master forger. She forged papers so she could sell the diamonds. The guy who looked at the papers noticed a slight difference in the seal and brought it to the attention of Gabriel the head of the Valenti mafia family.

He "kidnapps" her and has her work for him by forgeing papers for his illegal operations. Things start to get serious between them.

Savannah, or Savvy, tried to scam the wrong man, and instead of killing her, Gabriel decided to keep her. She’s a professional forger, smart, strong, sassy, and brings chaos everywhere she goes. She has had to fend for herself for so long that she doesn’t know any other way of living. She’s always been one bad decision away from ending up on the streets, so trusting someone or believing they won’t eventually leave her is almost impossible for her. That was sad...

And Gabriel? I loved this man! He’s a ruthless, feared mafia boss who has everything he could possibly want. He has absolutely no reason to keep Savvy around, yet something about her awakens a side of him he never knew existed. He’s intrigued by her from the start, and this ruthless man falls for the one woman who can push every single one of his buttons. He doesn’t want to be another person who lets her down, and he works hard to prove that to her.

Savvy didn’t go quietly either. She fought him every step of the way, threw insults at him, and tried to protect herself so she could escape, but only managed to bring chaos into the life of a man who was used to being feared and obeyed. Their back-and-forth was so enjoyable. Underneath all that sass is a woman who has been hurt and disappointed too many times. Gabriel sees that, and while he can be heavy-handed and enjoys “punishing” her, he becomes more patient and protective as their relationship develops.

This was a quick, entertaining mafia romance with suspense, revenge, plenty of spice, hurt, and two characters I really loved, along with wonderful side characters whose stories I can’t wait to read. Savvy was absolutely my kind of heroine, and Gabriel had all the ruthless mafia energy I wanted, with a weakness he never expected to have.

I loved this book, and I’m definitely curious about Lucien and Cassie! They’re next, right?

Okay… Savannah Collins is exactly the kind of heroine I LIVE for. She’s clever, chaotic, shamelessly good at conning people, and unfortunately for her, she picked the absolute WORST man to scam. 😮‍💨

Enter our ruthless billionaire mafia boss— Gabriel.... possessive, controlling, completely unhinged, and absolutely incapable of letting go once Savannah catches his attention. What starts as revenge for stealing from him quickly turns into something much more dangerous: obsession. I loved the enemies-to-lovers energy between these two. Savannah refuses to make things easy for him, constantly pushing his buttons and challenging his rules, while he is basically living by the philosophy of “she’s mine, and everyone else can stay the hell away.” Their chemistry is 🔥🔥🔥, and the power struggle between them had me hooked.


The captivity/forced-proximity aspect adds so much tension because Savannah is determined to fight him every step of the way, while this man is slowly becoming more protective and. possessive than even he expected. And when his enemies realize that Savannah is his biggest weakness? Ohhh, things get GOOD. This book is messy, dark, obsessive, possessive, and gloriously toxic in exactly the way a dark mafia romance should be. The banter, the tension, the power games, the jealousy, and that touch her and die energy had me turning pages way too fast.


Filthy Little Lies is basically two stubborn, morally questionable people playing a dangerous game of who's going to fall first—and I was absolutely here for the chaos. 🖤

Savannah was easily my favorite part of this story. She’s a survivor, resourceful, stubborn, fiercely loyal, and determined to make it on her own. I loved that her strength wasn’t erased by the darker side of her relationship with Gabriel. She may have found herself completely out of her depth with a mafia boss, but she never stopped being Savvy. 🖤

And Gabriel? OBSESSED. The man has that dangerous mafia-boss energy down to a science. Possessive without losing his softer side, dominant without needing to prove his power, and absolutely determined that Savannah belongs with him.

This was a fast-paced, spicy, dark mafia romance that I flew through. The romance moves FAST, and the spice definitely takes center stage, but there was also enough emotional depth in Savannah’s past to make me genuinely invested in her getting the life and the love she deserved.

And that ending? 👀 I was smiling. Give me more of this world because I am already curious about the other men waiting in the wings!

Filthy Little Lies was a quick, dark mafia romance that kept my attention from beginning to end. The writing was very straightforward and didn’t necessarily keep me guessing, but it was still engaging enough that I wanted to keep reading.

The story centers around an obsessive mafia MMC and a strong-willed FMC who tries conning him. What gave the story more depth for me was the FMC’s background. She wasn’t given the best chance at life and grew up in foster care from the age of eight, bouncing from home to home and never really having the stability she deserved. That made it easier to understand some of her choices and made me feel for her throughout the story.

This book definitely focuses heavily on the romance and darker elements. There is a plot, but the spice content takes up a much bigger part of the story. The relationship also develops very quickly, giving it a strong insta-love feel alongside the darker mafia atmosphere.

By the end, the book left me feeling happy. There were moments when I felt sorry for the FMC because of everything she had been through, but overall, I think things worked out for the best for her.

I would describe Filthy Little Lies as a fast-paced mafia romance with some emotional depth and a very quick-moving relationship. If you prefer books where the plot is the main focus, this one might not be your first choice, but readers looking for a quick dark romance may enjoy it.

Overall, I enjoyed it and thought it was a fun, quick read with a dark vibe, an obsessive MMC, and a strong-willed FMC.

He kidnaps her, installs her in his home, and disciplines her for attempting to bar his entrance to the room. She escapes, but he finds her, which results in a compromise.
She will work for him; to pay back the debt he incurred for her.
She is suspicious of his motives because she has never had anyone who is on her side, except her friend Cassie, a fellow foster child.
Gabriel is attracted to her for multiple reasons and gives in his attraction.
She meets Cassie and another fellow foster child Tony, who is an addict. He has a scam in the works, he wants the girls to help him, but they refuse. Vanny does not want to betray Gabriel's trust.
She forced to leave Gabriel's home by his brother for a safe location, but she interprets it as him discarding her. She manages to escape and gets away from Chicago.
Gabriel tracks her down, which results in her capitulation.
There is a wonderful ending to the story with an HEA ending.
I loved the characters in this story; Gabriel despite his criminal background is quite understanding about Vanny's fight to survive. Vanny is intensely loyal to her friends, but also adept at survival.

She stops being “the thief who stole from him” and becomes the woman he wants to keep. But in Gabriel’s mafia world, enemies notice how important she’s becoming, which he knows makes her a prime target.

Savvy and Gabriel’s journey is dark, obsessive, built on the fire between them and leans into Savvy’s past. Savvy has trust issues and the belief that she’s alone in the world, so even though she wants to she has trouble accepting that Gabriel wants her and will burn the world down to protect her, destroying anyone who touched her. Whilst the overall plot was pretty much what you would expect, it was still a good, action packed, extremely steamy read and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series.

Gabe knew the gems were low grab but it is the papers she presented that intrigues him. When he learns that she is the forger, he is surprised. But there is something about this woman. That intrigues him. Savvy has real talent. She can pretty much forge anything thing but her specialty is IDs, papers, and birth certificates. When Gabe ends up taking her to his home and plans to keep her, old fears start to rise. Savvy has been in foster care for a long time and knows all about being sent away. With her friend Cassie always having her back, Savvy starts to relax a bit around Gabe. But when one person from her past tries to bring her down, things fall apart. I have to say I was so upset with Roman and his handling of things. I am surprised Gabriel didn’t beat him. Savvy ran believing he didn’t want her. That was far from the truth. The passion these two share is hot. She is more of a pain/pleasure girl. And the scenes are hot. We also have something going on with his cousin Lucien and Cassie. There is a story there and I can’t wait to read it.

I haven’t been in the best of places lately. A loss in my family has left me feeling no joy.
This book let me escape my reality for a bit.
I adored Savvy. She is so filled with sass and feistiness. She is impulsive, reckless and delightful.
Oh and she’s also a top tier con artist lol.
Gabriel is the head of the Valenti mafia family. He’s dangerous, ruthless and powerful.
Without mercy and someone you don’t want to cross.
Umm yeah Savvy unwittingly tried to pull one over on him.
She finds herself taken and punished for her actions and lies.
I loved their banter and conversations. Savvy gives as good as she gets. And then some.
She not only stands up to Gabriel. She goes toe to toe with him.
He’s used to having grown men shake in their boots in his presence.
Obey his orders without hesitation or question. But he has bet his match with Savvy, lol.
I really appreciated the character development in both Savvy and Gabriel.
It gave their story more depth and more emotional aspect to it as well.
I enjoyed reading Filthy Little Lies. It was an enjoyable and entertaining story.

What do you do when you realize you just tried conning a made man? You try to run until that doesn’t work and you’re spending the night in his house. This is the situation we see Savvy in at the beginning of this book with Gabriel.

We got on a journey with these two and there are some surprised. I enjoyed this couple m they were funny, I loved the banter Savvy didn’t put up with Gabriel’s bossiness all the time. Now when Savvy wanted to be a Good Girl she did what he told her to do. The spice in this book was 🔥 the dirty talk between them and Savvy always enjoyed everything that was done to her. I’m so glad these two got the ending they did.

Along with Savvy and Gabriel there were others in this book I enjoyed too. I enjoy having good side characters and Savvy had a best friend Cassie and Lucian was grumpy but still liked him! Hope to read more about them all

Loved the story about Savvy and Gabriel!! Savannah Collins was a child of the foster care system, with one of her foster mothers teaching forgery, which she became very good at...but now with a bill owed to loan shark, she decided to work a diamond con on local pawn shop...but unknown to Savvy, shop was owned by mob boss Gabriel Valenti...so when she was caught, he locked her into shop. then kidnapped Savvy...Gabriel liked her sass, fearlessness and no-holds barred attitude and realized she had a rough life, having several foster homes and everyone always left her...so he decides to keep her...but would she fall for man who now only wants her to work for him??? No spoilers here, you will need to read this roller-coaster ride to see what happens. I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy...

Despite the hand she was dealt, Savvy is strong yet also reckless and chaotic - which I was totally here for. I loved how Gabriel takes care of her, proving he has her back always.

Having both main characters come from criminal backgrounds adds an intriguing element to the story. This is a lighter dark romance, making it the perfect book to start you in this genre. This book had me hooked - it was a page turner. The ferris wheel scene 🥵.

I am always obsessed with Measha's book. This is my first time receiving ARC from this author and I was excited! If there's only one word for me to describe about this book, which is OBSESSED!

You want the MMC obsessed with the FMC? You want the FMC to be a brat and always say the funniest things? Yup this book is for you! Savannah or also known as Savvy is amazing. I don't find her annoying, all her decision is what I'll do too if I were to be in here position. And Gabriel is this handsome man who I don't know how old he is. Its either i missed it or it was not stated. But I don't care, he fell for Savvy right away. Talk about insta-love, right. They are perfect for each other. I love every second of this book, well it is by Measha, she's amazing!

He loves her feistiness and her willingness to take his punishments. He decides to use her talent and have her forge the items he needs. Savvy loves pushing all his buttons, and Gabriel loves it too.

Gabriel and Savvy are the perfect imperfect couple. Savvy is a foster care kid with all the baggage including being left. Gabriel loves his rules. They understand each other and end up accepting each other. Savvy is a strong, sassy, take no prisoners lady. My heart broke for her at the end when Roman told her she was moving and her past rears up. She decides to leave on her terms. Gabriel is always trying to protect her. He just tends to stink at it when it really counts. Roman and he need to work on their communication. The ending had me melting. No one writes grovel like this author. Gabriel has Savvy working on fake documents to pay her debt and when these two become more those enemies will try to destroy what he has but they should never underestimate a mafia boss and what he’ll do to protect what’s his!

Filthy Little Lies is a suspenseful story. It is a well-written dark romance.

Savvy is a con artist who needs money. She is also a great forger. She crosses paths with the one person she should not have. Gabriel is the head of the mafia family. He catches Savvy when she goes to a pawn shop to try to sell his diamonds. In any other circumstance Gabriel would have killed them. But he is attracted to Savvy so he kidnaps her instead. He sees her and protects her.

I loved how Savvy was so smart and stood up to Gabriel. She had to fight for everything. I loved how Gabriel took her and became obsessed with her. An amazing story. I look forward to more from this talented author.
