What an absolute joy to read the latest from Sarah Bennett in her Half Moon Quay series! This series has just been the best, but just as enjoyable to read as a standalone.
Twin brother of Harry, Ed Penrose is coming home from his marine conservation job in the sunny Caribbean. Due to his phone being lost at sea out there he hadn’t told any of his family he was coming, and after an horrendous delayed trip was desperately looking forward to his bed at home. Frankie is an actress filming at the nearby castle who has been keeping a very private low profile away from the celebrity gossip and social media.
Christmas is looming, can they both enjoy some of the season’s magic to heal their pasts?
This was totally blissful to read, like escaping into a heart warming comfort blanket. Sarah Bennett’s writing is beautiful and effortless, hitting just the right note of romance, human nature and sensitivity. And of course a wonderful helping of Christmas cheer and goodwill.
Hugely recommend and wholeheartedly loved this tale as a fabulous read!

We meet Frankie a actress who grew up in the foster care system. No family or friends. Has a fairly nomadic lifestyle.

She meets Ed Penrose part of the well established Halfmoon Quay residents and gorgeous Penrose brothers ! He’s just returning from a few months in the Caribbean.


It’s a beautiful read and we re visit other characters we’ve met before but as I’ve already said that’s not essential to enjoy this book. It’s got everything you’ll need to enjoy this cozy Christmas book. Romance humour a lovely setting. Makes you wish you could visit.

Highly recommend it.

Time truly flies! It’s already August and soon Christmas will be here. It’s one of my favourite seasons and I enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere throughout the book.

I also loved how the town welcomed Frankie into their fold despite some hiccups. While Ed and Frankie did not start off with a positive encounter, I enjoyed seeing how their relationship soon improved.
