I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Chloe is an assassin. She is good at her job. Damon is a detective. Also good at his job. After a one night stand they figured they wouldn't meet again. But fate had other plans. Chloe needs to keep her life a secret but Damon is determined to get the truth and when things start adding up it makes him wonder what that truth is.
Action packed, full of suspense and witty dialogue between the two. Definitely keeps you turning the pages. Does end in a cliff hanger. I am hoping the next book isn't to far behind. I couldn't help but fall in love with Chloe and Damon.

I loved this book. It's so rare to find a read that grabs you right away and that's exactly what this did. Chloe is that independent heroin we need. I loved that she's mixed with Chinese as well. This was such a super fun read that you won't want to put down. I can't wait for the next book.

Stephanie Reynolds has done it again with another great book. Skilled, even though it was a fast read had my attention from the beginning until the end. I was given this book to read for an honest review.
Chloe, an assassin for lack of better terms is killing people who have done wrong around the world. She enjoys her job, but her father wants her to settle down and no one really knows her secret. Then, in walks Damian a detective who she falls head over heels for something she has never done before. The both of them had great chemistry, but both know Chloe is hiding something.
Damian wants the truth and Chloe refuses to tell him the truth. What will happen when Damian realizes Chloe left town to do her next job? Will he figure out that Chloe is the killer to all his open Homicide cases? I guess we will have to wait to find out with the next book in the series.
I highly recommend this book being read and all of Stephanie Reynolds other books as well.

Reynolds writes a quick read with witty bantering between the two characters along with some steamy scenes. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book!

I really enjoyed reading Skilled. This book is about Chloe Justice & Damon who is a Detective & a very good detective which may or may not be a good thing for Chloe. Damon could be Chloe's downfall. Read the synopsis for what Skilled is about. I don't do spoilers. Skilled is a Novella so it is a quick, action packed & HOT read. Yep HOT between Chloe & Damon! Oh there is a cliffhanger. Hopefully it won't be long until the next book is out! I am looking forward to the next book in the Skilled Series. I was gifted this ARC for an honest review. I give Skilled 4.5 stars.

These two meet at a motorcycle race, end up going home together and its sexually explosive!
Damon starts putting two and two together about Chloe. Will they take a chance on love? I can't wait to find out!!

S Reynolds does a great job making the characters come to life. The reader feels like they are part of the story, involved in every aspect. As the story progresses the characters become more and more dynamic.
Damon is a detective who lives his life on that side of the law, his best friend Cruz always at his six. He is content living the bachelor life, after all his job doesn't allow for much else. Though in life some things will happen that make us reconsider our outlook. When he lays his eyes on the beautiful woman dressed in leather handling the bike like its second nature, he knows he has to meet her.
Chloe has vowed revenge, and has lived the life of an assassin since the unnecessary loss of her innocent friend's life. Chloe allows very few people to get past the barriers she has erected to protect her heart. And she prefers it that way. When a one night stand turns into more, is she able to just walk away or will something develop from the encounters?
This is a great story full of action, romance, politics, and revenge. If you are looking for a thrilling read that will keep you enthralled through the very end then look no further than Skilled! The passion will pull you in and the vengeance will keep you engrossed through the very end. I cannot wait to read the next book!!!

I absolutely couldn't put this book down. I loved the story line of a Chinese-American woman assassin falling in lust with an detective in the police who is investigating her murders (she doesn't know when they meet). Great suspense and mystery with lots of hot sex. I received this book as an arc from the author.

Skilled is a short quick read.
Chloe is a interesting character. She is different than most female characters in the books I have read. Chloe is a bad a** chick that can handle her own. She rides a motorcycle. She's also a hit woman and is really good at her job.
Damon and his friend Cruz are detectives. They both ride motorcycles and attend illegal races. Neither one of them seem to fit the mold of what I typically think of as a detective but that just makes we love their characters even more.
Damon isn't a relationship guy. He has one night stands and usually ends up sneaking out in the morning. Chloe and Damon's path cross at a race that Chloe is in. They end up ending the night hot and steamy. This time Chloe is the one that is sneaking out. She has an effect on Damon and he thinks about her after. Their paths cross again in an unlikely place. Every time their paths cross we are treated to some sexy scenes.
Damon is a very good detective and detective skills never take a break. That may cause a problem for Chloe. As they hook up more he seems to start to try to put the pieces of who Chloe is together.
This is book one so it ends with a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read book 2.

SOME SEGMENTS FOR 18+ ONLY. Chloe, daughter in a well-connected family of a Chinese mother and an American father, faced a death of a friend in her youth, and it led to her secret life as a contract killer, albeit one with a set of standards. Damon is a homicide detective for the Albuquerque police force with a recent couple of unsolved cases on his desk he is working through. He also has a penchant for motorcycle racing, heavy drinking, and one-night stands during his off hours. When their paths cross during an after-hours event, a sexual attraction builds a strong connection, but one’s secrets and another’s investigation will clash. The story presents two very strong multi-layered characters having to deal with very contradictory emotions and values in a very action and thrills plot. However, this is not a complete story, but rather a novella-length pilot episode of a limited series tale. Any reader who decides to delve into this book should be ready to commit to further books in the series to reach an endgame. In addition, a dedicated reader must be willing to overlook some unlikely hyper plot points and connections which drive characters together in the story. It left me in a contradictory mode.

Wow, just wow. It seems like EVERYONE has Cruz's number as far as his nightly activities. Everyone busts him on it including his captain. And Chloe, sweet little ol' Chloe, I wonder what will happen when their worlds actually collide, more like they do. What do you get when you put a contract killer and a detective in the same room and hot for each other? You get one hell of a story! There were some "oh crud" moments as well as some, "NO WAY!" moments in this book. I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode of this novella series. Man, things are going to get interesting. Damon is one eagle-eyed detective and really can put two and two together. Oh, and just wait until you find out who her father is!

A badass female assassin and a hot detective....Need I say more?
Chloe is an assassin with a conciensce. She is a strong independent woman who loves her job and is not looking to settle down anytime soon. Damon is a hot detective that has been investigating murders of some pretty shady people. Chloe’s and Damon’s personal lives cross with what ends up being a one night stand. They can’t seem to stay away from each other and end up bumping into each other again. The connection they have is extremely strong and they can’t keep their hands to themselves. Soon Damon starts putting bits and pieces of his puzzles together and Chloe seems to be in the mix.
“She was still a little in shock that Damon was a Detective. That wasn’t smart on her part. Never get involved with the police if you commit murder on a daily basis.”
This is a fast paced, witty, steamy, and action packed story. An absolute page turner! Looking forward to their story being continued!

Amazing read! From the start up to the last, I was hooked!
The story and the characters are amazing!
The characters, Chloe and Damon are great.
Chloe, a bad-ass woman who can do unexpected things.
I did not expect her to be able to do her job and I was kind of shocked of what I learned.
Damon, a determined hot detective that will rock your world.
When the two collide, sparks fly and interesting things will happen.
With all the killings that happened and two dead bodies of bad wealthy men, Damon is determined to catch who is the killer.
As the story goes, Damon will learn an unexpected thing that might change on how he see things and all.
The way the story ended is amazing loved it!!

This romance is just the different thing I was looking for. Chloe is a hot chick bound by hate fueled fury to carry out missions. She chooses jobs based on desire to rid the world of the worst types of filth. She is not just working but living a mission. A mission she has had since she witnessed a crime to her best friend as a child. She is a heroine like none other. The story really kicks up a notch when she meets Damon. Damon is a hero made for Chloe. He is a lawman on the right side of her vigilante missions. Chloe and Damon together are smoking sizzling hot.hot.hot! It is a quick read. I can't wait for more of their story. Thank you, S. Reynolds. This new series will be a must read for me.

Chloe Justine is pure awesomeness. Sass, hotness, and talented so in other words she's totally SKILLED.

Chloe is a very strong woman, which I absolutely loved. She knows what she is, and she wants justice for those wronged. Damon is a cop, and you know how much I love cops! One glimpse at Chloe and that was it. He was hooked. He had to have her and if it can only be on her terms, so be it! They have a little issue of what she does for a living to get through, but love will overcome everything.

Chloe is an assassin who kills those who truly deserve to be punished. Damon is a cop who is investigating a series of unsolved murders. These two have trouble with commitment and relationships, but when they meet they can't get enough of each other. Soon things take a turn and their professional lives collide with their personal lives.
Loved this book. It was a very good read with some suspense, action and steamy hot sex. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

I received this book for an honest review.
I loved this book. It kept me on my toes the whole time because you never knew if Damon was going to actually find out Chloe's secret. Chloe doesn't get into relationships with guys, she doesn't do long term, it's easier that way. Damon doesn't do long term either he just thinks it's easier being a detective and all. They meet by chance have a great 'night' and then they go their separate ways....Until they meet again.

This was a new author for me. I really liked reading a different type of story-line, I enjoyed the twists and she had some steamy scenes. It left me hanging, so now of course I NEED to know what happens.
