Erotic romance novelist Sara Wright is searching for passion that leaps from the page, and she thinks the answer might be right under her nose. For eight years, Sara has been harboring a secret lust for her best friend and sometimes muse, Steve Larson.
Steve has loved Sara since the day he met her, but has long since resigned himself to being firmly in the friend zone. That is, until Sara confesses she's been using her fantasies about him as inspiration for the heroes in her novels.
Determined to be the man to give her what she wants, he takes a page from Sara’s books and plots his every move to make her his. But he isn't quite like the guys she writes about, and, in truth, he isn't sure he wants to be. With each encounter, he ups the sexual stakes, but fears he's giving her the wrong impression of who he is and exactly what he wants.
By day, Maggie Wells is buried in spreadsheets, but at night she pens tales of people tangling sheets or tangled up in intrigue. The product of a charming rogue and a shameless flirt, this mild-mannered married lady has a naughty streak a mile wide.
Sexy as hell cover? Check. Deliciously erotic coupling? Check. Satisfying from beginning to end? Check! The protagonists, Steve and Sara, have chemistry that scorches. Their initial meeting in a coffee shop sparks a friendship that can't help but ignite into a sinfully steamy romance. The playful banter, the teasing looks, and the frisky business beneath the sheets make this story impossible to put down.
There's an adorkable awkwardness about Steve that will melt your heart. Sara's strength and determination have you rooting for her from the get-go. I laughed (so many times), I panted, I sighed, and I pulled for them.
Seducing Steve will seduce you in every possible way!
Seducing Steve by Maggie Wells * I received this ARC free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Sara is a romance writer with writer’s block until she starts using her best friend as her muse. She has been in love with Steve for years, even while she was married. Now that they are both single, she decides it’s time to go after what she wants.
Steve has been in love with Sara since he first bumped into her table eight years ago. He can’t believe his luck when she comes on to him over pizza and asks for his help with “research” for her book. He is willing to take what he can get but he is concerned that she doesn’t feel the same way he does.
I love these two characters. The dialogue flows so easily between them and they are totally comfortable with one another. The transaction from friends to lovers may be a natural progression but it wasn’t seamless. Both are unsure of where they stand with the other. Although they have great sex, neither wants to put a label on their changed relationship.
I think it’s really sweet of Steve to buy Sara’s books to “research” what she wants in a relationship. He is surprised at how turned on he gets reading Sara’s books. I love that he is willing to push his comfort level in order to give Sara what she wants and needs.
I think if more men followed Steve’s example and read our romance books, they would appreciate them more. Overall I think the author did an excellent job of combining comfort and spice. I enjoyed Seducing Steve and give it 4 Flaming Hearts.
WOW! I wish I had the balls this lady did. She knew what she wanted and went for it and everything turned worked out great. The cover sucked me in on this one and it did not disappoint. I wish it had been longer so I could still be reading it! :-)
I do have to say that this part, "her nails teased the burgundy curls at the base.." made me cringe and giggle. Red hair just cannot seem sexy to me
This was a fun read - though the story flow was a bit stop and go - with realistic dialogue and incredibly sensual scenes between these two friends-turned-lovers.

I LOVED this book! I actually had to be careful where I read it for if I started laughing people would look at me like I was crazy. It is also not the type of book you can just talk about anywhere, for example the pediatric dentist office.
Maggie Wells muse must have really been working overtime with these two characters. Their love for each other is one that has been going on for a very long time but communication was not always there for Sara and Steve. When things start to actually happen and they stop over thinking things and worry about the what if’s is when the story takes a path you want for Sara and Steve. The question is can they still remain best friends as well as very hot lovers? Will each step their relationship takes make them the hot couple you’re hoping them to be not only in bed but out too! I certainly hope so.
This is a must read for anyone who loves to laugh out loud and cannot wait to finish the book to see how it will end. I know I could hardly wait.
