Franco DelRossi is used to getting what he wants whenever he wants. In business or in life, his demands are usually satisfied before they’re made. So, when a smart-mouthed secretary insists he still has a thing or two to learn, he balks at the suggestion. Unfortunately for him, though, this mouthy bombshell has a demand or two of her own…
Eliza Ford has never been the 9-5 type, so when a case at her new job has her working overtime, she knows she’s got to do something to fix it. The only problem is that means she’s got to take the sexy Italian billionaire bull by the horns. She’s got to teach this guy what it means to be a gentleman, or one of them is going to die trying…
Allison Gatta is an avid writer of steamy contemporary romance, an obsessive viewer of bad television, and an occasional player of overly-complex board games. In her free time, she thinks up fun, new characters and argues with her family over sci-fi trivia. She is a firm believer that Voldemort would vanquish Darth Vader in a duel.

Little confusing to start with as I did not know the back story about Natalie and Rachel and this was not well explained here. Eliza and Franco are great together although it takes a while to get there. Poor editing left me annoyed at times as I had to reread sentences to get the gist of what they were saying. An epilogue would have improved the novella but it did not happen. From me 2.5 Stars but read it yourself and make up your own mind probably be better if you read Books 1 and 2 first.
Apparently there were a lot of editing errors but, and maybe I should be ashamed to admit this, clearly it wasn’t anything that was noticeable to me. I feel like I should do a reread to just to see.
This was a decent, quick, read. I had to try to like the heroine though as she was whiny and hard to relate to, I just wanted to tell her to grow up. There was just the tiniest bit of BDSM thrown in (thank you 50 shades for making so many authors think anyone can write as badly as you and do well), it was unneeded and threw me for a loop at first. I liked the Hero, he had good character growth, and grew to be likable. My biggest problem is the editing. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have anyone read this before publishing and most of the errors would have been caught. And I hate when the author uses the wrong name for one of her own characters.
It was a cute love story. But the "editing" left a lot to be desired. I had to guess what a lot of words were supposed to be and change letters in my head.
If you can go on with grammatical errors, it's worth a quick read.
I found the start a bit confusing because I wasn’t aware of the back story behind 2 characters. The actual story was okay. But did he even work? I found myself a little lost in a few spots like the story jumped ahead of itself and some parts of the story could have been elaborated or explored further. It’s a quick read and I liked the very sweet ending.
This book is extremely dull; I would’ve been able to sort of skim through it anyway, in the hope it picked up, if it weren’t for the complete lack of continuity. This seems to be an example of an author who completely doesn’t care about the quality of their work, as I’ve clearly put more thought into this review than went into this book.
Editing/Proofing: Proofing-wise, not many errors noted, however the book could certainly use an editor to iron out some of the continuity issues.
Character development: Rather conflicted at times, fitting with the poor continuity overall, unfortunately. Author could use a couple of strong beta readers to assist with this.
Cover: Bland and generic but well-suited to the book and decent quality.
I’m not sure I’d attempt this author again, as life is just too short to be forcing my way through dull books. That said, with a stronger team, I expect she could produce better content, as she does have some good ideas conceptually. It seems the execution is what’s lacking.
This was an amusing short read, but it could have been a lot better. The main characters, Franco and Eliza, were not well developed. There was a hint of back story for Eliza but nothing on Franco. E!iza was a really funny heroine. Franco was plainly disagreeable. Even though this was a standalone book, it was still part of a series. It would have been better to have some understanding of the other characters in the book and their relationship with Eliza and Franco. The plot could have been more developed. The errors should have been corrected. Even spell check and grammar check would have caught most - squaller instead of squalor. I have one other book in this series that I'll read just to give me an understanding of the relationship among characters. I would love to read about the other characters but I won't buy the other book in the series. If its ever offered free, I would read it. A quick, fast read If you have the time.
Where to begin. Too many editing errors. Distracting. It was really a cute story. Simple. Eliza was hard on Franco from the beginning. I enjoyed the transformation of the love. The love scenes seemed rushed. Franco never knew who Eliza was, but when he slowed long enough, she had him, before she realized she wanted him. It was cute. Too many errors interrupted the flow of the story. Quick read, which I enjoyed. Definitely an HEA. I actually enjoyed what I read about the other characters, but I found myself wondering about them. Nothing was really explained. I'm assuming it was covered in other books, but I wasn't captured enough to pursue. I do recommend for a light, quick read.
He knew loads about her from her love of origami to her favorite beer. She couldn't even remember the wine he liked when they first got together. She knew he had money and was dominant in bed--that's it. And the dating questionnaires are more about your personality than about your preference in mate. I would have liked the questions to be what he did in his free time, what kind of music he liked to listen to, his hopes and dreams. Instead, the book was all about stroking her ego. She made the billionaire an ordinary down to earth person. Well la ti da but it would have been better if he would have made her grow up a little too.
I love reading contemporary romance as well as the many other romance novel genres. This story was by far one of my faves. It was not too drawn out and sappy but had wit and an inciteful storyline. I applaud your work Ms. Gatta and I hope to read other books by you soon. Thanks for writing. Your story made my day. From one romance writer to another... "!Perfecto!" Best of luck in your career.
Eliza works for a matchmaking agency. Franco is a client looking for a temporary girlfriend to takes the great off of him. His previous girlfriend is telling everybody who will listen that he's the father of her unborn child and that's quite a few since he's a billionaire many times over. He cons Eliza into helping him find his next girl but then realizes that it's Eliza he loves. After some ups and downs they get their HEA.
I really liked the story. I found Eliza a little flighty at first and Franco a little arrogant but they both grow and change. The main problem I had with the book was the poor editing. There were so many grammatical errors, missing words and extra words it became ridiculous. Other than being distracted by the poor editing I found the story sweet and fun to read.
Really there are no surprises. Boy meets girl. Girl resists advances. Boy walks away over petty slight just when girl comes around. Boy comes to His senses and they reunite to be happily ever after. Just a leisurely romance to pass the time away. Really nothing truly exceptional or creative to give it another star but it is still enjoyable
It was a pretty fast read. Very cute story but I couldn't quite get the main guys motives and bases on the description I don't think the description explains the story well.
I do so love a billionaire bad boy romance read and this one does not disappoint. It has a hunky guy a gorgeous girl, and a thousand problems of why they shouldn’t really get together.
A quick and east read with predictable outcome. Franco is the spoiled man and it is up to Eliza - a secretary to help better his image. Nothing seems to help - we just need Franco to wise up!

The writing in this book was poor and I felt confused as we did not have much background on both of the main characters. Also the romance was lacking and I did not like Eliza's character because she was just annoying and felt like she was constantly confused.
