Kara returns from a troubled year abroad, seeking refuge in her small private high school, but finds out readjustment isn't going to be easy. Her two best friends have changed. Although she misses the closeness they once had, she doesn't want to press them to open up, especially since she's not ready to discuss some of the events from the past twelve months without them either. And then there's Ryan, the boy she broke up with before she left, with a new girl now that forbids him to talk to her. At first she thinks she doesn't care, after all she fell in love with someone else while she was away too, but Ryan's new girlfriend really starts to get on her nerves.So what's an ex-girlfriend supposed to do about an ex-boyfriend who doesn't want to acknowledge her anymore? She's self-assured enough to know she's got some options, but she wasn't counting on all those emotions and hormones that spark a chain of events that taint the end of her senior year.
