This Athenaverse story was enjoyable to read. This engaging story is about Nina a human customs officer on the Orpheus Station and Kheltor a Vakutan who's the leading security officer in the Alliance area of the station. Our characters are likable and engaging. Nina and Kheltor get off the wrong foot when she witnessed a commotion at the Vakutan checkpoint. Nina keeping her eye on Kheltor discover someone are smuggling cargo. Nina finds that Sareth of the Collation secruity department departure papers are suspicious. Together they investigate the incidents. What happens afterwards when a classified area of the station called The Bridge responds to her is an enjoyable copy that I volunteer to read and review.

The authors have taken us to another world to pull us into the lives of Nina and Kelton. The heart pounding story keeps us turning the pages with connection, secrets, danger, action, realizations and steam.
