I loved Treacherous Path by George Kerpi! I expected a murder mystery and ,yes, it was that. However, it was also much, much more.

The writing in this book is superb. The setting perfectly enhances the plot and clearly influences the lives of the characters. The author leads us through a tragic event and illustrates how this event affected the community. He also illuminates the fact that even great sadness can bring positive change.

Kerpi reminds us, again and again, that a person who navigates life with kindness, curiosity, honesty and patience can and will affect those around them. In fact, the impact of such a person will ripple out and inform people for generations to come.

This is a story that will stay with me. It makes me want to be a better person. I highly recommend Treacherous Path by George Kerpi.

I’ve spent most of my life avoiding crime and investigative novels apparently that was a mistake.Someone convinced me to try Treacherous Path, and I expected to confirm exactly why this wasn’t my kind of book. Instead, I kept reading what surprised me was that the investigation wasn’t simply about finding out who did what. I became interested in how quickly suspicion can form around someone and how one new piece of information can completely change what you thought you understood. I finished it thinking maybe I don’t dislike investigative fiction after all.Maybe I’ve just been reading the wrong books

Fresh air in a style of criminal novels, totally unpredictable, immersive, not what I was expecting, but happily surprised, most importantly, it seems to rhyme in a way that reading it becomes rhythmic, yet when you think you figured that out, nope, you haven’t , in the reflection by the end of it is a touch of a genius, makes you wonder about your own life , very interesting read
