⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This collection was honestly such a fun surprise!! Five cowboy novellas by five amazing authors, and I had the best time reading every single one. It’s like getting five little trips to different small towns, each packed with swoony cowboys, romance, and all the feels.

One thing I really loved was that every story had its own personality. they all had that cozy, addictive small-town cowboy vibe that I can never get enough of. Whether it was the sweet moments, the laugh-out-loud banter, the emotional scenes, or the spicy chemistry, every novella gave me something to love.

The pacing was perfect for novella length too. None of the stories felt rushed, and I was surprised by how attached I became to the characters in such a short amount of time. Every time I finished one, I was excited to jump straight into the next to see what kind of cowboy I’d be meeting next.

There were protective heroes, strong heroines, plenty of swoon-worthy moments, and enough cowboy charm to keep a romance reader very, very happy. 🤠❤️ It was the perfect palate cleanser between longer books, but honestly I ended up flying through the whole collection because I couldn’t stop.

If you’re obsessed with small-town romances, ranch life, rodeos, grumpy and sweet cowboys, and stories that leave you smiling, this collection is 100% worth picking up. I found new authors to add to my must-read list and now I desperately want full-length books for some of these characters because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.

Such a fantastic collaboration and an easy five stars from me. Cowboy romance fans are going to eat this one up!

This was such an entertaining compilation of spicy, small-town, cowboy adjacent standalone novellas. I was smitten with the character development in each story.
-Take My Breath by Brooke Montgomery: Jack and Amaya are charismatic and young, a fake dating situation brings them closer together and a chance to admit their true feelings.
-Unbound by Ariel Hendrix: everyone needs a Sterling! The ex-military, fiercely protective man offers Eden, pregnant and floundering, security, compassion and eventually love through marriage of convenience.
-Long Story Short by Elizabeth Bright: a childhood friends-to-lovers as Grace and Alex finally get the chance to explore more upon his release from prison. Loved the addition of suspense and redemption in their story.
-The Wedding Wrangler by M Hartley: the opposites were attracting and the banter and tension thick! Unforeseen wedding issues brought maid of honor, Josie, and best man, Rhett, together and their shenanigans were humorous, cute and so sweet!
-Burning the Midnight Oil by Karley Brenna: There was insane chemistry between Wyatt and his brother’s ex-girlfriend, Bea! I felt for both of these characters’ situations in a short amount of time, and happy they got a a HeA with each other.

I mainly just got it (1) because it was free & (2) for Brooke Montgomery’s story since I am reading/listening to her series right now. Therefore, I just read her story/novella for now & to be honest, I probably won’t be reading any of the others anytime soon because I got more books on my TBR list, but anyway, hers was okay; I read it all yesterday, so it CAN be read in one day if you have the time. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad, either … 😊 It was a little too slow paced for me, even though it was a novella. Definitely a “Slow Burn” since the couple didn’t get together until like 2/3 of the book & they only had s3x twice throughout the story, but I still liked it. It was a cute, sweet story; just not her best … 😊👍🏻

There are 5 novellas in this Cowboy Crush compilation, but I grabbed it to read Take My Breath by Brooke Montgomery, part of her excellent Willow Branch Mountain series.

After Amaya turns Jack down, laughing off his pickup lines, neither expect to see each other again until Jack ends up working as a ranch hand where Amaya works with Posey at Langston Soapworks. Faking dating turns into Jack convincing Amaya to go on a real date to get the woman he hasn’t been able to forget to give them a real chance at love.
I’ll get to reading the others, but this is a great place to start whether you’re familiar with Brooke’s writing or not.

This was the perfect way to wrap up the Redford Ranch series!
Though I am so so sad it’s over!
Sterling and Eden were perfection!!!
I loved Eden so damn much! She was such a wonderful character. And so strong, though she felt weak. But weak doesn’t run towards a better life for their unborn child.
She was strong as hell and I love her.
And Sterlingggg. SIR! Giving the most “my wife!” energy ever! God that microtrope will do it for me Every. Single. Time.
Ariel…I don’t want to leave the Redford family. I need moreeeee!
Guess it’s time for me to dive into your other books!
