Why?
Cause the essence of the story is just that - LURE – the pull of the vampire blood, the temptation of the hunt, the allure of the senses, the cravings, the hunger, the seduction of the carnal impulses.
This book is one huge temptation for all of your senses and even deeper than that.

Hunter’s only mistake was that he made her change…he lost her by his own decision, by making the wrong decision. His Tessa is long gone to him…and all he ever wanted was to love her…and to make her happy.
My faith kept me hoping she would pull through and eventually remember who she was and what we shared, but I was starting to think it was impossible…Maybe I had killed her the day I convinced her to change.
In a final turmoil of emotions Hunter’s decision ends up being not only the final one but the fatal one…

After almost two days that I have finished reading LURE, I am still in sort of a haze…there’s so much to grasp, to hold on to and then you are pushed over board and you are left with a shock and so many emotions to deal with and then BAM, there’s another notion to grasp…but all you can do is barely gasp….
So, as I stumble towards book 4…almost with trepidation from what’s next for me to find out about these characters…I can just whisper soft words of comfort and state that, even though I am in a trance haze with Marko, Hunter was the one who actually won my heart in this book.
and my first expression of emotional whirpool still stand ...
WHAT A...
JUST...
I DONT...

Warning dark, disturbing and seriously addicting.

Lure is the third installment of Alaska Angelini’s Marko Delacroix series and continues where Blood Bound left off and should be read in order. In Prey I fell in love with this dark world of vampires. In Blood Bound I became infatuated with the characters of Marko and Tessa and their twisted love/hate relationship. In Lure I've become completely obsessed. My love for this series can only be described as epic it just seems to get better and better with every installment.
Lure is told in Marko, Tessa and Hunters POVs which I absolutely loved as it brought me closer to Hunter. This installment is a full rollercoaster ride that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Where Tessa and Hunters decisions at the end of Blood Bound has led to a whole new set of problems including leaving Markos fate in question now that Tessa is no longer bound to him. Tessa becomes more than Sayer can handle when her link to Marko can’t be broken as easily as he thought. And with Marko growing stronger each day cementing his plans to lead with Tessa at his side Sayers true colors start to show. Leaving all the characters in this story learning that all decisions and actions come with consequences and an ending you never see coming.
To fans of the darker reads this dark paranormal romance will not disappoint with its dark, gritty, and often times disturbing content it will leave you wanting more. Alaska Angelini again doesn't disappoint in writing beautifully strong characters you can connect with and a world you want to sink into its dark and twisted recesses and never come back up. I cannot wait for the next installment like an addict waiting for my next fix I need it yesterday.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I’m not sure where to start with this because my mind is still blown and my heart still aches. The previous books in this series have NOTHING on this 3rd installment. I read the warning, watched the author’s video on Facebook but I still wasn’t prepared for how this story turned me inside out. Tessa, Marcko, and Hunter are a love triangle that will make your heart bleed. What Hunter endured in the name of love is something my mind can’t completely fathom. That coupled with his inner turmoil for what we knowingly walked into broke me more than Sayer’s actions did Hunter. Tessa is becoming the vampire Marcko needs by his side but it comes at a cost, her best friend.
The ending….I can't give it away just know, it fades to black.

Please keep in mind that Prey AND Blood Bound MUST be read, in succession, BEFORE reading LURE. Also, PLEASE heed the warning given with this book by the author. LURE is much darker than the others. It’s darker in ways that may upset you.
With that said. WOW. Just wow. What a hell of an intense, brutal, fantastic ride LURE is. All characters from the previous books are here. You get to really see Sayer’s true colors. You get to see Tessa as a vampire and boy is she AWESOME. Marko’s power, presence and love for Tessa are nothing short of phenomenal. Hunter really grew on me this time. The ending left me shattered, torn apart and thrown into a daze. I need the next book as much as I need air to breath. THAT’S how amazing this book is.
I could not put LURE down. The words flowed from the page; capturing me hostage, creating a vivid but clear picture in my mind of what I was reading. Alaska is thriving in the dark and she did beautifully here. She captured the brutality of violence, the damage created from it, the love between soul mates, the power and presence a vampire holds, every emotion you're able to feel and see. This series would make for a phenomenal movie.

I don't even know where to start for my review for Lure. It really suprised me where she has taken us in this series. I can't really say anything that will even come close to how it made me feel besides it emotionally gutted me on a whole new level. Be prepared, this book is darker than what we're used to from Alaska and with that said, some parts might be disturbing for readers but they have to happen because I feel there was no other path for this author to take us. I feel like I need a hug after reading some parts or a good cry. She keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with the events that are put in motion and you want to cringe and just stop, but you can't help but keep reading because you have to know what is going to happen and will the main characters survive this hell they are being put through in the play for power that these vampires are having. I'm ready for the next installment because this ending just about killed me!

Five stars is not enough to rate the book equivalent of 100% addictive crack. With each installment, Alaska Angelini drags the reader deeper into the dark word of Marko, Tessa and Hunter, leaving you itching for more.
By the end of the story you'll either be sitting in the dark praying for daylight, or throwing a tantrum. Either way, it'll be a hell of a ride.

Lure is the third book the Marko Delacroix series in Alaska Angelini’s dark paranormal romance. These books must be read in order to fully enjoy the series. Be warned there is subject matter that could be disturbing to some readers. The vampires in this book are not of the sparkly nature. They are rip your throat out brutal.
“Embrace this beautiful nightmare. For when it ends, so will your life.”
Lure picks up directly where Blood Bound ended. Tessa is a newborn vampire and Hunter is awaiting his chance to be her slave so he can uphold his promise to stay by her side forever. What Hunter and Tessa had planned and what Sayer has in store for them is anything but a happily ever after.
“This is all you have left, Hunter. you chose this path, now you
have to face the consequences of it.”
When I first read Prey I had no idea how crazy this series would get — we are talking edge of your seat, slack-jawed wtf moments. Angelini has created a world of vampires that is wholly her own and will warp your sense of reality. I never anticipated falling in love with Marko, he is 100% anti-hero, but he violently won me over.
“The pain I feel for not having you with me is the worst torture
I’ve ever gone through. Such sweet torture.”
I have no words for how much this book will mess with your head and I can only tell you that you’ll have to read it to believe it. Get your tissues ready and be sure that you wrap your kindle in bubble wrap before you begin. There will be moments when you are ready to chuck it at the wall. There will also be moments when you want to cuddle it close, so it balances the rage out. Sort of.

Truer words were never spoken. Five devastatingly tragic stars. This series is a must for anyone who wants to take a walk on the dark side with a sadistic group of vampires.

God where do I start with this book!!! I was so excited to delve in and find out what was to come to Tessa in this book as she ventured in the life of being a Vampire. Ms Angelini did not disappoint in this addition to the series.
Tessa has changed but Marko's blood remains with her and knowing that keeps him going even if they are kept apart. She has made a decision that if she can't keep Marko she wants Hunter as her slave, she thinks he can love her that way even if he hates all that she's become. Seeing the future of what comes to the vampire race has Marko on edge and Tessa's maker doesn't see things that way. He only sees how powerful they can become but he doesn't take other things into consideration. telling you things with out giving too much away is extremely hard because i want to go on and on about how much i loved this book. The ending shocked me to the core and even if i thought it would come i wasn't prepared for it.

Wow!!! Just finished reading Lure and my head is spinning, talk about mind blown!
Tessa has made the ultimate decision by deciding to become a vampire, with her trusty friend Hunter by her side.
There is so much happening in this story. With Marko adjusting to Tessa’s life as a vampire under Sayer (Dark Prince) rule; Marko himself is still adjusting to the changes within himself (and in leadership) and Hunter’s friendship with Tessa is truly tested. Hunter has to make personal sacrifices for the sake of their friendship (such as becoming Tessa’s slave).
The ending of Lure leaves you anxiously waiting to being Rule – Marko Delacroix #4 and find out what has become of Marko, Tessa and Hunter.
Alaska Angelini you have done an amazing job with Marko & Tessa’s story. Thank you for blowing my mind!!!!

Loved this one even MORE than the first two! You get even more involved with Hunter in this book. I love how powerful Tessa is as a newborn. The bond between her and Marco still exists and has me rooting for them even more. Definitely darker than the other two books as new characters are introduced and plot twists.

Dark and delicious, a series you just want to devour.
This series is messing with my head and I love it.
Tessa is a little different in this book, scary you could say. Her world has totally changed and continues to through this part of the book.
Marko, oh my his no good guy but I was rooting for him in this book. He shows so much more emotion and I loved it.
Hunter, I like how his loyal to Tessa and wants to protect her but Hunter what aren't you getting, she's not human anymore! I admit she does need protecting from a horrible man and Hunter goes through a lot to help that.
Just as I thought I could half smile, I'm left wondering what now. My eyes are to tired to go onto book 4 tonight so I'll have to wait till morning.
This book was good, dark, bloody and sexy.

Book three in the Marko Delacroix series, Lure picks up where Blood Bound left off. I highly suggest reading the books in order because they do not work as standalone stories. Told from Hunter, Marko, and Tessa’s POVs, Lure kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more! Sayer has turned Tessa and realizes, too late, that she is more than he can handle. Marko is reeling from the betrayal of Tessa and Hunter. How could his love do that to him? Tessa is feeling conflicted because even though Sayer is her maker, Marko’s powers are still within her and make her as strong as ever!
Lure is much darker than the previous two books. But, the storytelling is done in such a way that the reader can’t help but want more. It’s like watching a train wreck! Sayer’s true colors begin to show when Marko’s powers increase and his bond with Tessa can’t be broken as easily as Sayer had hoped. I really loathed Marko in the last book, but my feelings for him began to change as his love for Tessa showed. Just when I thought he was a bad guy, the depth of his feelings changed all of that! Hunter is a character that I wasn’t sure about, but even he grew on me within this story. As for Tessa? I felt sorry for her and all of her pain. Such conflict and inner struggles must be horrible to deal with, not to mention having Sayer beat her down and her one true love kept away. I absolutely need the next book in this series!! I can’t wait to get more of these characters!!

Such conflict and inner struggles must be horrible to deal with, not to mention having Sayer beat her down and her one true love kept away. I absolutely need the next book in this series!! Great book! This is book 3 and it was amazing. It might not be for everybody. This book has a beware (rape of female and male). The book is written very well and it really is a real good Vampire forbidden love book. Love love love!

oh my gosh.....there's no words on how it ended I just have to move on to next book to get back a piece of mind. But overall the book was great, its not like any other book I've read so far.

If you haven't started this series yet, what are you even doing with your life? Read Prey and Blood Bound, then dive into Lure. Alaska Angelini's writing is pure magic - I was fully invested in the characters' emotions, from the gory violence to the swoony romance. Tessa's journey to becoming the Princess of Darkness is captivating, and the love between Marko, Hunter, and Tessa is perfection. I need the next book ASAP!

WOW, WHAT A SERIES !!!
This is a MUST read series …I cant recommend this series enough !! Once again Alaska Angelini knows how to write vampire stories !! Edward and Bella doesn’t stand a chance !! This one is slightly darker then the last one so read your TW’s but if you have none and like dark, then jump right in !!! ❤️

I devoured this book as fast like Tessa would devour her prey. This book is darker with more explicit sex scene....we see Tessa evolving in her new powers as well the struggle Marko as well As Hunter have with Tessa’s change....the end left me in search of the fourth installement....a must

Ugh!! That's what I get for not reading the reviews. I didn't realize there was going to be more than three books. I've been itching to read this series for awhile now. I like to wait until all of the books are out in a series Before I start. I'm a voracious reader and have horrible patience when it comes to waiting for a book release.

Just wow. The best book in the series so far. They just keep getting better and better. Beware the warnings, this book is definitely dark and disturbing. And I loved it. And you MUST read the first two books before you read this.
