Reading as the FMC Skye finds her mates, getting vengeance against her past, how she slowly starts falling for the MMC's, girl is literally in heaven. Multiple obsessed werewolf fated mates kinda heaven.

Her past and upbringing has made her less believing in good things happening to her.

But!

Her werewolf mates doing anything for her? Anything she asks for, even finding the people who harmed her and helping her enact vengeance? I'm melting...🫠🫠🫠🔥🖤

If you're in a reading slump this will immediately take you out of it! Super super spicy shifter romance , why choose, all the things. I binged this over a weekend! The FMC has a crappy life, shit luck and she meets someone on a speed date who happens to be one of her fated mates. Acceptance and love are huge themes in this book and while some moments are dark it isn't overly descriptive and you can use your imagination. I NEED more of this story!!!

Thank you so much Rii for my arc copy!!

Thank you, Rii, for letting me read an early release copy of Hunter's Moon! This was really good! Beware reading ahead as there will be spoilers!

I wish this book was longer and/or a part of a series. I loved the main idea and premise of the book it just felt a little rushed. I would have liked a little more angst and confusion on skyes part before just accepting things and the bond. I also would have loved more longing and struggling with the relationship with Shep. Speaking of shep, there’s a small continuity error in the hot springs scene with him. It states that he is semi hard when he carries her away from Russel because he just came (presumably in her mouth) but then when she starts to ride him it’s stated that he likely won’t last long because he hadn’t come yet that night. No big deal just a small thing I saw! Other than that, I just wish it was longer! I would have loved more of all of them! Maybe even dual POVs to hear the men’s thoughts and sheps struggle with his desire for her. A deeper look and exposure to the toxic relationship with the sister, skye debating longer on if she should even call the number on the black card and then if she should go at all after calling. But I’m a glutton for angst so this is totally a preference. The writing is good and the story flows. I would love more of this world and would jump at the opportunity to read it for sure! Maybe a sequel where skye meets other chosen and clans and getting off shoots of those stories? There’s so many options! I’m so excited to see what’s next!

I was so lucky to be given an advanced reader copy of this book and OH MY GOD. I was not one bit disappointed with this book. Holy hell this has got to be the best werewolf book I have ever read. I absolutely devoured this book. I loved the new angle and twist. Rii was right when she said think Van helsing. I need a physical copy of this book asap.

I loved the plot, I loved the men. I love how she got 5 smoking hot, delicious werewolves all for herself after everything she's been through and got a whole big ass castle to live in. May I just add I hate Isabelle and just wanted to tear out her throat. Unfortunately our girl is just too sweet and let her live.

All these men fit her perfectly and I loved the scenes between Griffon and Russell was ooh so spicy. I have to say Saint and Dane have got to be my favourite. I loved them all but their dominance stole my heart and may I just add their amazing in bed. I'd definitely take both their knots.

I also loved Shepard he's a total cutie and I hate his pack for abandoning him just because he was more submissive or gentle. We all need some gentleness as well as roughness. I'm glad Skye took him in as he was and showed him what it meant to be loved.

Also usually I'm really not big on one person POV but I honestly loved it in this book. It was so beautifully written and each chapter had my toes curling and me craving for me. I truly couldn't get enough and I was sad when the book finally ended. I can't wait to read more by Rii and I was so happy and pleased with the ending.

This book has everything you want. FMC meets one of the MMCs at a speed dating event and he invites her to a private event where she is claimed by 4 of the MMCs. From there things get spicy and hilarious. There were a few times I was laughing so hard I cried.
The FMC has had a difficult life and there are
some things that might be triggering to some but the author does a great job of being gentle with their context.
I loved the relationship btw the MMCs. Their banter was fantastic. I think Dane was my favorite. And I am so happy she got to include Shepard in the Harlem. This was so good and I normally don’t like paranormal. But I can’t resist a great why choose! The spice was so spicy and perfect! Loved the knotting. Enjoyed the HEA but definitely could have had 200 more pages of them. I definitely will read the next books in series.

“I’d let him devour me in an instant, twice on Sunday.”

“Escaping isn’t my goal. Nothing about freedom has made my soul burst to life like the energy of the men chasing me down.”

“Heated promises spoken in such a rough baritone shouldn’t urge me to throw myself into the arms of a literal monster.”

“You’re the moonlight on an endless night. The most vibrant star in the entire universe. A beacon for our traces of humanity to cling to. The sole driving force our beasts fight for. You’re everything, Skye.”

Hunter's Moon follows the story of a girl who has experienced a lot of trauma in her life and decides to enter a mysterious event that promises her a new beginning. After receiving an invitation from a gorgeous stranger, she decides to give it a shot and ends up being hunted by a pack of wolves who are searching for their destined mate.

This story was definitely entertaining and interesting! I liked the idea of the Hunter's Moon event and all the possibilities it opened up for the FMC. The MMCs were all interesting and easy to like. They were very devoted to her and treated her with so much kindness.

The FMC, however, was not my favorite. I really wanted to like her and root for her, especially because she had already faced so much in her life. Unfortunately, she never won me over. She came across as unkind, dramatic, and selfish, which made it hard for me to get invested in the story. I just didn't feel like she deserved the MMCs, and that made it difficult for me to fully enjoy their love story.

If I had connected with the FMC more, I probably would have rated the book a little higher, but she really made it hard for me to get invested in the romance. The spice was fantastic though and the MMCs were very, very hot.

That said, I do think there is definite potential in the future books in this series because the overall storyline is intriguing. I'll probably give book two a shot when it comes out and just hope for an FMC I can connect with a little better!

Thank you, BookFunnel, for allowing me to read the ARC and post an honest review of the book. 💕

Okay, Hunter’s Moon was definitely a FAST read. Once things got going, the pacing kept me turning the pages, and there was always something happening. I definitely can’t say this book was boring because it kept things moving!

And let’s talk about the spice because… 🔥🔥 The spice was GOOD. Definitely one of the things I enjoyed most about this book. There were some scenes that had me like 👀🫣 and I was absolutely not mad about it.

BUT… I think my biggest issue was the writing itself. Something about the writing style just didn’t completely hit for me. I wanted to feel more connected to the characters and the story, and unfortunately, I found myself feeling a little detached at times. There were definitely moments I enjoyed, but I never quite got to that point where I was completely immersed and emotionally invested in everything happening.

That being said, I did enjoy the overall experience! The fast pace, the action, and especially the spice kept me reading, and I think this could definitely be a fun read for someone who enjoys a quicker paced, spicy story.

Overall, this landed at a 3.5 for me. I enjoyed it, but I just needed a little more from the writing to make it a 4 star read.

A Howling Good Time

This is a spicy novella about a girl Skye who is a bit down on her luck, living with an unsupportive sister. After a speed dating event, she meets a mysterious MMC who sets her on a path to meet her fated mates. Lots of spice and some angst ensue. The driving plot of the book is an emotional ride of learning to love and accept love in return. While there are some darker things in the book, it’s kept relatively off-page—I was actually surprised after all the content warnings and description of it being dark. It’s got its dark moments, but the author provides a metaphorical flashlight to confront the darkness. TheMMCs are all big cinnamon rolls who are totally gone for her, giving the book an oddly cozy feel. I really enjoyed Rii’s unique take on werewolves and their culture. I’d love to see future books set in this same world.

High spice, some angst, and a simple plot make this an excellent rainy afternoon read. It’s perfect for those who love monster romance and/or their MMCs to have a some extra fur. Thank you Rii for the opportunity to read an easily copy of this!

I only have one issue with this novella: it ended too quickly. Which was not an issue for the FMC, Skye, and her men. I could've read more about her budding relationship and bonding with five hunky werewolves who are absolutely obsessed with her. Her past was super dark and horrible, but with a pack of loving men who want to give her everything- her future looks amazing. She is one lucky chick!

Hunter's Moon is the first book of this author I have read and it won't be the last. It was a fast-paced and knotty good time from page 1. So much smutty goodness...

This is a Paranormal Romance with dark themes and scenes that may be sensitive and triggering to some. Please read the Author's Content Warnings.

This is an absolute amazing novella to read. I love a good book with spicy straight out the gate and books with a slow burn. If you are a reader who likes a slow burn this one is not for you. This book is pure delicious tantalizing SMUT starting straight out the gate with an equally good story telling to match. I could not put this down. My only complaint is that I need more. I need more of these characters, more of the universe, more of other chosen and their destined!! For the love of the moon goddess please RII Finlay give us more of this universe.

Please make sure to read the trigger warnings before reading this book. This is a paranormal romance that has some dark themes that may trigger someone. If these themes do not bother you and you’re feeling frisky jump on in and join Skye and her 5 hunky werewolf men! I’m sure glad I did! 😈

This was a quick and fun read. It’s the kind of book you can easily pick up between other books or when you need a little break from a series.

This is a story where the plot could really have shined if it had been given the right amount of room to grow. Unfortunately, the book felt a little rushed, with more focus on the smut than on developing the plot. Which is a shame, because I actually think there’s a plot and a world here that could be really interesting if given the chance to grow and develop properly.

Because the story feels rushed, the actual hunt unfortunately doesn’t get much attention either. Which I find a little odd when you consider the title.

I honestly think it’s such a shame that this story and its plot didn’t get the chance to become a full-length novel — maybe even a duet! I think the plot could easily have carried that, if the author had taken more time to explore the world-building and dive deeper into the story.

That being said, it’s still an enjoyable book, and I had a good time reading it!

How rewarding is it to find those who were waiting/searching for you for 100's of years?
Short story full of mouth watering smut!! Has an underlying story beyond found family after a crap family and a history of sexual trauma, torture, and kidnapping. Our snarky and larger sized MFC gets an invitation for a hunt after a wonderful speed dating experience. And starts off with a irreversible chase in the woods. Being able to hear her thoughts about herself and situations are quite funny and entertaining.
I adore all of our 4 MMC's plus one.
Protective and possessive and caring for their mate's every whim AND I mean EVERY WHIM 😘😈. I absolutely loved the story behind the knotting and the claiming outcome and how we learn about the shifter world right next to our human MFC. Their world is very interesting.

“This is SMUT y’all, with a little Beauty and the Beast-esque plot.”

Skye is a barista and gets invited to an inclusive event “Hunter’s Moon Feast”. She has no clue what it is but decides to show up and learns that men will hunt and chase her for a good time. Later learning, that she is their chosen mate

I love that they respected her and would literally do anything for her. Skye has had a rough upbringing and has a hard time when someone shows her kindness and all these men want is for her to be happy and well satisfied 😜

3⭐️!

This was a quick, smut-heavy paranormal romance that was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. There isn’t a huge amount of plot or character development here, but it’s short, so I wasn’t expecting too much. I also found Skye to be a little annoying, and the dialogue from the wolves was a little odd/inconsistent at time, BUT THAT ISN’T WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR.

In all seriousness, I genuinely had fun with this! The story moves quickly, the paranormal elements are entertaining, and if you’re looking for a very smut-forward werewolf romance, this definitely delivers on that front. It wasn’t a particularly memorable read for me, but I enjoyed myself while I was reading it.

Overall, this was a fun, quick read that delivered what it promised, even if I wanted a *liiiiittle* more substance outside of the romance and smut.

ARC Review

Thank you, Rii Finley, for the opportunity to read this in advance.

I felt that parts of this book were incredibly interesting and they were great at hooking me into reading more. Specifically, the beginning of the book into the hunt had me. I feel like I read through all of that incredibly fast.

The rest of the book, though, I found more difficult to finish. I feel like the little amount of plot present was rushed, and that the overall book suffered for it. Also, Skye's inconsistent behavior drove me a little insane.

I think that this book could have used more time to develop the plot, and that the story as a whole likely shouldn't have been a novella.

Altogether, the premise was interesting, and I enjoyed the beginning of the book a lot. I appreciate the ending, but I think that there should have been some further plot development.

This book was such a fun, addictive read! Skye’s story pulled me in, and I loved how things unfolded as she found herself in a world of delicious danger, shifters, and temptation. It’s fast-paced, spicy, and just the kind of novella that makes you lose track of time because you’re too busy turning pages.
And the MMCs? 🔥🤤 The why-choose dynamic was top notch and the chemistry (OMG... primal and shifting during the act🥵) definitely delivered! The story was great, the smut was everything, and I honestly couldn’t put it down.
It’s a short read, but gave a great story, plenty of smut, and characters I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to. I finished it wishing there was more to read because I genuinely wasn’t ready for it to end.

Rii, I NEED MORE! 😩🖤

Thank you to Author Rii Finley for an ARC. This was a fun, quick and spicy story. Skye has a had a beyond rough go at life and throw caution to the wind blindly sign an NDA. After a wild night she meets her fated mates and it becomes a MMMMF story. I enjoyed the story and wish it was longer. I felt that Skye was very accepting of her new fate but it could have been an interesting dynamic if their was some resistance or hesitancy to her new life. I really enjoyed her dynamic with Shepard. That was a welcomed addition to this story. I was hoping to get different perspectives from this story whether it was Skye's sister, people from her past or any of the MMCs. Overall, a good story and I cannot wait to see what other work Author Rii Finley comes out with!

I received this why choose shifter romance in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book I've read from this author and it did not disappoint.
As an avid shifter why choose reader I found this light hearted spicy story entertaining and enjoyable to read.
FMC feels like an outcast, unwanted with no familial or friend support her whole life especially after a traumatic capturing.
One round of speed dating changes her life like she never imagined.
Delicious smut, light hearted humor, banter and "laugh out loud" moments.

It’s a fairly short read, less than 200 pages. 🤗

Do not expect much plot. It’s smut, it’s werewolf smut, it’s knotting, a lot of it, and it’s awesome!😻

Home girl has some trauma and not the best family ever, but she finds the right wolves to help her process it and help her find her revenge. Each of those wolves brings something a distinct flavour she needs at some point.

There is a lot of smut in this book: MM one, MF, and add as many M to the mix as there are werewolves.😍

And that’s it. It’s a jolly good time; it’s satisfying. Plus, with all the orchard talk and apples, now I want to make apple crumble with cinnamon and vanilla ice cream.
So I’m off to the market.😅

Thank you Rii for sending me an ARC copy!

I read this all in one night and it kept my insomnia company with it's warm and spicy Why Choose vibes. I loved the absolute feast of MMCs to delight over, but my favorite character is one that you have to read a bit far in to discover. No matter your type of male love interest, Rii's got you covered with fluffy tails, furry ears, and knots that you'll just have to accomodate! All and all, another wonderful story to read from one of my favorite Why Choose authors! If you're up for a surprisingly cozy love story of a girl finding where she belongs, this is deff for you!

Rii Finley gives good reads. Spicy to the max, feisty heroines who are sassy and funny, and wish-fulfillment book boyfriends. Readable in one delicious sitting.

The story moves quickly, and it cracked me up that the main source of conflict ... or, I suppose, the primary obstacle to resolving conflict was all the sex that kept happening. And it may just be that I'm in a fight with my sister, but Cait's insults about her sister were delightfully wicked. Oh, and if you keep reading, the estate will reveal both an enormous library and a hidden passageway (not that our heroine Cait cares about the library lol).

p.s. Shepard was my fave.

This was a nice quick read that kept me engaged the whole time. I like that the author has written such a strong FMC, even if she can be a bit flippant at times (she acts perfectly for her age).
Even with smex being half the plot, it was great to have Skye need a more gentle side tended to as well.
I will say that the book could have benefitted from giving more backstory for the guys, as I would have liked learning more about each of them.
I'm hoping this book might turn into a series, because I enjoyed it a lot. Rii's writing style works well for my brain and the story was easy to follow.

Between 3 and 4 stars for me, but it is exactly as billed - fast, spicy werewolves. It's just TOO fast though; it starts with speed dating, and it felt like the whole thing WAS a speed date with the world. Too much jam-packed into too few pages, it could have comfortably been spread out into a full-length novel. Nothing got more than a surface-level pass, but there was a LOT of drama and intrigue and trauma that were there one second and gone the next.
I hope to see it again in an extended version, or with some cuts to all the side-quests to bring the world more in line to the vessel, but I think the concept is solid!
Thank you to Rii and Book Funnel for an early copy 💖

Omfg I LOVED this book. This book, while nothing close to a literary masterpiece, is one that I am going to remember for forever and will beg and plead the author to make it a 5000 book series. I loved every single character so much and Dane's words were heart wrenching in the best way.

Wow, I devoured this like no one’s business!

It’s hard to admit but I’ve been in a reading funk. Nothing was grabbing my attention. The last few books I had to put down because it was taking me forever to get through them, but this one? Did. Not. Disappoint.

I absolutely loved the premise. The fast pace had me all in and THE SPICE 👀👀

I adored these man killing beasts bringing all their desire and hunger for her to the forefront while also being gentle and considerate. It’s swoon worthy really. Who doesn’t love a man who can be sweet but also melt the panties off you?

And can we talk about Shepard? He makes the best part of this story. Lone wolf. Deserted by his chosen. Meant to live a lonely life finally finding love and a home among the pack of destined. Can we just take a moment to appreciate the love and acceptance of this sweet soul?

My one single problem with this story? I want more. Desperately. I need to know about more of these creatures. I need a whole series, please. I’m begging here, Rii? 😂

Seriously though, for anyone looking for a fast paced, spicy, why choose werewolf story where the FMC gets revenge on her trauma filled past by taking all the knots and offing the men who hurt her? Yeah, you need to read this one!

I’m not a big fantasy romance reader but I love other books this author has written so I gave this one a shot and let me tell you I was not disappointed. Who knew that werewolves could be so hot!? I found myself kinda jealous of the FMC a few times throughout this book. All the main male characters were so different personality-wise, but they all fit together as well. I enjoyed the story as well as the spicy scenes. Those were done very well. Read this book. You will not be disappointed.

This was absolutely delicious. The short version is that a young woman with a traumatic past and rough current living conditions signs up for an experience that she’s unsure of what it really is. She essentially signs herself up to be “claimed” and kept forever, yet she’s not sure what that really means. There’s multiple male lovers, werewolves, fated mates, vengeance, and an incredible amount of spice. The spice though is perfect in all the right ways.

This was a super enjoyable quick read, especially if you're into spicy why-choose, reverse harem, shifter stories. I really liked how this book started out (I'm a sucker for a little primal play), but the plot did kinda fall off shortly after. What do you want? This was such a fun spicy read. I do love a omegaverse,  something about the feral way werewolves need their chosen is so fun to read

Skye has a traumatic past but meeting her future, has her healing in ways she didn't expect

This is soooo spicy, just spice on spice on spice with teeny tiny plot but I did love the healing aspect for the fmc
