Followed: A Stalks Novel

Rate this book
Someone is killing women who look exactly like her. And she’s next.

Elizabeth has spent years running. New names, new towns, new lives. She’s learned how to stay unnoticed and how to leave before anyone gets too close. She thought she was safe living on the road, never staying in the same place for long. She thought she’d left the monster in the rearview mirror.

She was wrong.

When a news report exposes an interstate serial killer targeting women who look exactly like her—blonde, pale, early thirties—her safety shatters. These victims aren’t random. The similarities aren't a coincidence. They’re a message.

He has found her.

Convinced the killer is the man she narrowly escaped years ago, Elizabeth joins forces with relentless Detective Ed Rawlings, only for the investigation to trigger her own trauma. On the run and unraveling, she’ll have to confront not just the predator on her trail, but the darkest corners of her own mind.

As the bodies pile up, one terrifying question emerges:

Is she being hunted… or is she being staged?

Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Lisa Jewell, and Paula Hawkins, this twist-laden psychological thriller will keep you questioning everything until the final page.

This one was a sequel to Stalked. I’d recommend reading Stalked first, that way you know what the FMC has gone through.
This was another good, fast-paced thriller. I liked the what happen to our girl after Stalked vibe. We see what she’s been up to, and of course, trouble finds her. This was a twisty one. I had so many ideas on what was going on, and none of them were right! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I was so good! 🥴 The big twisty twist had me shooketh!

Followed was one of those thrillers that hooked me right away and kept me guessing until the very end. The alternating timelines worked really well, slowly revealing parts of the past while the present-day storyline ramped up the suspense!

The author does a great job creating that constant feeling of paranoia where you're never quite sure who can be trusted. Just when I thought I had things figured out, new details would emerge and send me in a completely different direction.

If you're a fan of psychological thrillers and stories that keep you questioning everything, you'll love this book. It’s an entertaining, fast-moving read that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. I loved it!

I have followed author Jenna Moquin for years. I started out reading a short story she published on Amazon, titled Stone Storm, and I was hooked. Then I read Stalks. A book not only read but recommended by Freida McFadden herself. I was blown away by the twists and turns. It kept me engaged, and I couldn’t put it down. So imagine my excitement when I was chosen to read an advanced copy of Followed, book two in the Stalks series. In this novel, the author resurrects Liz, the iconic character from Stalks, offering a captivating look at her transformed existence. Despite forging a new life after all that happened, she is still plagued by her past. Moquin takes you on another winding adventure, keeping you guessing until the end. For fans of sharp-intense thrillers featuring a brilliant storyline, Followed is a must-read. I truly hope there is a book three.

Before diving into this sequel to Stalks, I was a little worried since it had been quite a while since I read the first book. Thankfully, the story pulled me right back in, and I enjoyed this installment just as much. The author has a way of keeping the plot engaging, and I look forward to reading more of their books in the future.

This is a great follow-up from the Stalks novel by this author. The twists and turns toward the second half of the book were really awesome, you don't see them coming. I didn't predict what was going to happen, and I highly recommend this author for fans of thrillers!
