I had really high hopes for this story and they weren't all met, much to my disappointment. Lance by Christi Snow is a decent read, not much character development for the main character which is frustrating, but enjoyable for the most part. I wanted something more and never quite got it while reading this which is bound to happen when you read over 10 books in two weeks, right?
The premise is rather interesting which is why I wanted to read this book in the first place. The heroine is an erotic romance writer who is really shy and awkward in real life. She bases her latest novel's hero off of the hero's character, Lance. Lance isn't all he seems, he's actually much more, and they meet due to a photographer knowing Lance and wanting to have them meet. Lance was pretty awesome until about the middle of the story when I began to become a bit uninterested. I liked Andi, but found her and Lance together uncomfortable since it isn't really possible to actually get that close to someone you've been with for maybe ten physical days.
Overall, I give the book a shaky 4 stars because I did like the beginning, the premise, and the main characters. I suppose I always compare novels to each other and have certain standards from specific series like the Cityscape Series by Jessica Hawkins and not everyone aims to write in that way. I did, for the most part, enjoy the read.

When it comes to Andi, Lance is a very curious boy, "he wanted to see the pictures of Andi tied up. Shauna hadn’t sent him any of those and just the idea of them had blood pounding into his groin." You know you have a keeper in a man when he offers to buy you a crap ton of shoes after going through an ordeal, "I’ll buy you as many pairs of shoes you want. I promise. Eff, I’ll buy you the entire fall line from that designer if you want them." There are times a girl wants to focus on her new shoes without getting distracted, "she shook her head. “I don’t care anymore,” she told him. “They’re all gorgeous, but I can’t concentrate on them with you in the room, naked. I’ll drool over them all later and decide which pair I want to keep." I really liked this book it was a quick read that was entertaining.

Christi Snow has given us a unique twist in her Male Models Chronicles.. It seems this series is loosely based on real male models from a real model agency. It's a fun little series that comes with a great disclaimer.. The names are real but the stories are just that, stories.

Andi Kelly writes steamy erotica.. a women who is strong enough to write her heart but too timid to face reality. Andi is "this close" to becoming an agrophobiac and shy?? Yeah that's a way to mild description. She has closed herself off to just about everyone and is petrified over everything. Usually her sister is her go between but for some reason, Andi has agreed to work with her favorite sexy cover model, Lance.. And Lance is more than a little curious about what lies under her shell.
Matthew Lancer AKA Lance Jones, inherited his father's company and position at the age of 17. Really too young to be running anything he worked in tandem with his COO and has given his life to the company. But it seems it's stealing bits and pieces of him. So a tattoo here and a piercing there have allowed him to escape just a bit. But when his tattoo artist showed his tats.. Lance Jones was born and he's become a successful Male Model and never the twain shall meet. But when a plot to take over his company comes to head, the two lives clash and Andi is drawn into the fray..
At first this book seemed a bit shallow and I was worried that it would just be another sex book.. *shakes head* but I should have known better.. Christi Snow tells a wonderful story of intrigue, betrayal and yes passion. It's barely a Novella but Ms. Snow takes us on an adventure in New Mexico and the reader can't help but become engaged.
Lance and Andi are well written characters with some interesting depths to them and the secondary characters are certainly worth a second look. My only serious complaint?? It's too short.. there is so much more that could have been said and done and yet.. Ms. Snow gives us this grand adventure in so few pages. That my friends is a true gift!
Well worth the read.

Lance Jones, the man, the myth, the guy who is on the cover of every romance novel you see lately! For good reason. You have to admit the guy is gorgeous and the tattoos mixed in help indeed. Christi Snow has taken that mix and turned it into a short story worthy of reading to get your Lance fix and HEA. In this case, Lance Jones is Matthew Lancer, billionaire, Italian suit wearing CEO during the day. But one call from Shauna Kruse and he sheds the suit and and becomes Lance Jones, model for Andi Kelly, Erotic author and shy quiet fan of his. Of course she is smitten with the model but aside from fantasies, doesn’t see anything happening. Wrong. From there, she is caught up in his business life as an unknown pawn to take him down. She keeps hearing the name Matthew Lancer and has no idea who that is. That is until he is brought into where she is unconscious. Let the feisty side of her be released!
The stories are fun to read (this is the second in the series after Justin) and give a little flirtiness to the men we all like to see on the cover of our books. That is fine by me! At first I thought hmmm OK well with Lance on the cover who could go wrong. What I wasn't expecting was what I read honestly it was fiction but Christi Snow did such a great job in bringing this story to life. I think everyone has had some sort of fantasy about Lance at some point or another. But what I loved about this was she made him be the hot Lance every woman wants but she also made him a real person not just the guy we all think is this bad boy image because he has tattoos or piercings. Meaning he is real also I enjoyed knowing that the author in this book a character Andi who was this person. Showed me a side of a author who is vulnerable and shy and not at all the person we assume are writing these books for us. Also Shauna if you don't know who she is you are truly missing out she's a fabulous person with such talent sometimes it takes your breath away. And she's real she takes pride in her work and it shows. This book had all kinds of things going on you had shyness, mystery, hotness, comedy it really gave you alot. It's not a long book but the flow of the story was perfect. I'm going to go back and read the first book and hopefully will get approved for the next book. Another great romance with a touch of suspense. I like that Christi makes short books with a complete story and we get to understand the leading couple. Andi was such a sweet and fun girl, but she was extra shy and after some alcohol the truth would come out. Lance was more of a mystery to me because he decided to work as a male model just for fun and I didn’t get it with all the hiding and plotting.
They made a cute couple and I liked how Lance decided to give Andi space and made things work really slow. She had some scary moments and now it’s a little jaded about the dating scene.
For a short story this was really good and another great add to the series.

Did you ever consider that those cover models that you admire (and sometimes drool over) have a life beyond those smexy poses? Christi Snow's Male Model Chronicles series gives readers a behind the scenes look into what those lives may be like. Lance is the second book in this series and I think I liked it even more than Justin. You're probably going to think I'm crazy when you find out why.
Lance used his modeling career as an escape from his stressful reality. He took his job and his responsibility very seriously, but he was so young when it was forced on him that he needed that escape to keep his sanity.
Andi was a true introvert, but you would never have guessed it by the genre she chose to write. The more I got to know her, the more I admired her. She was a lot braver than she gave herself credit for and she used her writing as a venue to help others in a very subtle way.
So, why did I like Lance more than Justin? I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this, but it was the element of danger that Christi Snow threw into the story. Although I enjoyed the sweet story line in the first book, I missed that dangerous edge that has been a part of most of this author's stories. Sure, some readers (this one included) have given her a hard time about some parts of Texas being too dangerous to visit because of her When the Mission Ends series, but that harassment was done lovingly ;) To be fair, I didn't even notice that I missed that aspect until it was front and center in Lance and Andi's story.
Beyond the dangerous edge, this story had a lot to love about it. I especially liked getting to know Shauna a little bit better and I'm kinda hoping that she gets her HEA before this series is over. In the mean time, Joshua is up next. I can't wait to see what's in store for our next cover model.

Christi Snow has released another solid and highly entertaining romance in her Male Model Chronicles series. This series is based on real life cover models but their story is completely fictional. These guys are more than a pretty face with six pack abs. These guys have substance and heart.
Andi Kelly is a shy erotic romance author. Her specialty is BDSM and Bondage. Her current release revolves around mastering rope bondage. Although it would seem that she is quite the expert in erotism it couldn’t be further from the truth. She is extremely shy, is not over confident in her sexuality, and is close to being a shut in. Her sister deals with all of her PR work and business dealings.
When her sister is unable to handle the photo shoot for her latest cover, Andi has to deal with the photographer. The photographer, Shauna Kruse ( a real cover photographer), knows how to get the most of her subjects. She has decided to make Andi her next subject.
When Matthew Lancer, aka model Lance Jones, sees Andi with her ropes, he’s intrigued. When the two get together the chemistry is explosive.
When his corporate world becomes a threat to Andi, Lance is more than willing to make it up to her and protect her. His ways of apologizing are amazing. He won my heart with all the shoes.
Andi and Lance find something that neither knew they could ever have. They will come out on top and happy together in the end.
Christi Snow once again penned a sexy, magical romance.
I highly recommend Lance. I love the Male Model Chronicles.

Lance by Christi Snow is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! This is a very short novel but it is amazing. It is filled with lust, suspense and emotion. I am definitely a new fan of this author and this series. I usually have a love-hate relationship with novellas/short novels….I either love them or hate them. It goes without saying that I LOVED this one.
Lance is about Matthew Lancer aka Lance Jones, the CEO of his families company that has a second life has a hot, tattoo model, and Andi Kelly, a shy erotic romance novelist that lives her wildest fantasies through her work. The two meet when Lance is the cover model for Andi’s new novel but their worlds come crashing down when secrets are revealed. These two characters have great chemistry together but trying to survive in the “real” world may be a different story.
This story had just enough suspense and action to keep the reader engaged but not too much to overwhelm the plot. The storyline moved along at a nice pace and really didn’t have any flat spots. The dynamics between the characters was great and really added to the overall feel of the book. My only complaint would be that I wish the book was a little longer so I could have more.
If you are looking for a quick, suspenseful, erotic romance, this book is for you. Even though it is part of a series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone.

The cover , blurb and story behind this series intrigued me enough i wanted to check this book out. Matthew Lancer leads a double life. To get away from his high tension stressful public life he moonlights as a male model Lance Jones. This is a release for him and a way to be himself. That job puts him in contact with shy Andi Kelly. Andi writes erotic romance and teaches BDSM rope work to other authors who write the genre . An extremely bad experience with ropes and BDSM in college took a toll on Andi's confidence. Even though she is engulfed in the BDSM world she is afraid to engage men. For Lance he's attracted to her the first time he sees her. Lance/Matthew's company has a dangerous situation going on and it suddenly leaks over into Andi's world. They have to fight together to get out. This is a mix of erotica and romantic suspense. This is a new author for me and i asked around about her and this series and told i would enjoy it. It's a refreshing twist on classic romantic suspense and i really enjoyed the character's. Andi is a little bit hard to like at first but once she finds her way and is forced to fight for her life she is a dynamo. Matthew/Lance is a a great guy who just wants to be himself but finding Andi finally makes him rethink his future. Love the writing and enjoyed the story and watching Andi and Lance find their way to each other. Both deserve happiness.

While Justin was more in the light reading spectrum, Lance deals with slightly weightier topics. Christi Snow makes it work in a big way (not going to lie, I love that Lance's way to let off steam was by doing male modeling. Because muscles.). The danger Lance and Andi end up in is chock-full of Christi Snow's trademark romance and suspense and I had FUN reading it.
That said, there are definitely things these two deal with that probably weren't all that fun for them to go through.
I LOVED how tongue-tied Andi got around Lance. She's shy and awkward around people, especially someone who pushes all her sexual buttons like Lance does. For his part, Lance knows there's more to Andi than the wallflower she presents to the world. You see, he got a little peek at the sexy writer's uninhibited side and he wants to get to know her better.
They were sexy and sweet and sad all at once. Because Matthew Lancer and Lance Jones might be the same person, but his two worlds are kept very, very separate and Andi knows any relationship with Lance has an expiration date. *sniffle*
I must say, I really liked this one. It was exactly what I was looking to read and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Holy Hell this book was soooooooo HOT! first off LOOK AT THAT COVER.. I mean who wouldnt want to read it.. Thats Lance Jones... (licks my screen).. But seriously this book was soooo much better then I thougt it would be.

The story itself is good and enjoyable; the whole kidnapping adventure was funny. Although, I will say the first book in the Male Model Chronicles was way better, you can't beat running over a cute guy and then finding a connection. I can't wait until the final book in the series, Ms. Snow really has a fun series going on here and the cover models, WOW.

While saying that I am happy that Christi Snow keeps us on our toes because the characters are sooo different that I will not get bored with the series. This book right now is selling for 2.99 on amazon and I think that is a great price.
If you want an action/romance novel that packs some heat then this is the book for you!

First let me say I totally picked this up because of the cover, GUILTY! But what I got was a a surprise of cuteness and suspense in one quick read package.
Con: It is funny because from the beginning til about 30% I wasn’t feeling it. It was rushed and a little over the top corny, but at 30% it was like the author found her groove.
Pro: Once I reached 30% I could not put the book down, this is funny for me because once I get to the point I am ready to DNF, it rarely gets me sucked back in. This one took a turn and all of the sudden you could feel their connection, their romance and eventually their love. I really look for a little more alpha in H, but Lance was conflicted enough that he didn’t need so much alpha to make him hot. After reading this one, the rest of the series is definitely on my TBR now.

This is the second book in the Male Model Chronicles by Christi Snow. While there is one common character between the two books, it is not at all necessary to read the first in order to enjoy the second. This was a relatively short but hot read. Lance is a tattoo model that is featured as the cover model for Andi's latest erotic romance book. However, Lance doesn't truly exist. In reality, he is the CEO of a major corporation that is leading a double life. However, his double life isn't really a total secret and puts the life of Andi at risk.
There was some great chemistry from Andi and Lance from even before the two ever met. When Lance's secret is revealed, can there ever be a future for a CEO and an erotic author?
Great read and I look forward to more from this author.

Wow i was surprised and a little let down by this one. I'm not going to lie. I did really love it and consumed it in one sitting. I'm only disappointed because there could have been a little more to it. Like more mystery, more development into the betrayal...just something.
Lance has two identities. He's a multi millionaire CEO of his family's company, but his alter ego is a tattooed bad boy model. Andi is an erotic author. She had something happen to her in college that led her to become a shy, quiet, and meek girl who delivers quite the story.
When these two meet it's instant chemistry. The secondary characters were good and really added to the story. I now have to pick up the first in the series and will be looking for book 3

I am really sorry to say, but this book was not more than 3 stars. for someone who likes novellas, this might be a good story nevertheless
the romance was a bit unbelievable for me as it happened really fast, the plot was not detailed enough for me and I would have loved to see more of it.
but what really was hard to believe for me was the ending
all in all it was a nice short contemporary with a bit of suspense and a nice romance with some hot scenes

This was a very short and erotic novel! It was also very interesting with the characters, since Andi was an author and writing about characters, being said characters, basing her characters on characters that Christi Snow was creating - yeah it can get a bit confusing to explain in a review but it wasn't too confusing reading it.
Overall I enjoyed this novel. It seemed extremely rushed and the characters just happened to fall into each other and get naked, but it's also a short book so Snow had to do what she needed to get done.
I'm not sure if I will read the rest of the series, but I'm glad I got a chance to read this and meet the sexy Lance or Matthew or whatever you want to call him :)

But Andi has almost closed herself off from everything. But did agree to work with Lance. Lance is attracted to Andi. But he decides to go real slow. Then someone tries to take over his company and in the fray Andi is kidnapped.
I really liked this story. It really is more than a romance which makes it even better I loved the characters especially Matthew and Andi for all the twists and turns they went through. I like the story and plot a lot also. I recommend.

Lance was a great book! This book had me laughing multiple times. I loved these characters. The female lead was a shy, really smart, erotic BDSM author. The male lead was a CEO of a multi-billion dollar company and a tattooed model for book covers. They meet when he models for the cover of her latest book. His two worlds collide. Even though there are obstacles, they get their HEA. There is mystery, action, sex, and a love story in this book. Lance kept me turning the pages because I didn't want to put it down. I cannot wait to read more books in this series! I have found a new author.

Quick and easy read that packs a lot into a shorter story. Of course I wish it could have been longer, but I was pleasantly surprised with it despite the length. I think the author did a good job of giving some depth to Andi and Lance even with it being shorter. I liked the plot twists and enjoyed reading this book. I would read more by this author.

I highly enjoyed this book. As a tattooed professional I understand what it's like to have to hide part of myself when I'm working. I'm definitely not ashamed of any of my tattoos, and actually like knowing I have these secrets from my co-workers and clients.

loved this book, what a fab read. loved the characters and they worked really well moving the story along nicely. this book has many sides from the characters shyness, there mystery and some funny comedy bits. the writing made the characters real and it was very well written.
