4 "Well smack my ass and call me Ass Smackee" Stars

I can't believe it, but Terri Anne Browning was able to do something here that I didn't think was possible:

She redeemed Gabrielle Moretti...

AKA the "Evil Mega-Twat Everyone Has Hated For Books 1-10."

I wasn't sure it could be done but...

description

#NailedIt

description

Shocking, I know.

Anyhoo, the story picks up where the last one left off - with Gabby circumventing the kidnapping of Emmie and Nik's daughter Mia by protecting her and subsequently getting shot.

BANG.

BANG.

description

*
*
*
*
*

description

I apologize.

I just had to put that in here.

Because it's seriously so what in the ever living fuck ridiculous that I can't even take it.

But I digress.

So Gabby gets shot like it's the OK Corral - and she's NOT Wyatt Earp - and the book picks up with everyone trying to find her and Mia.

And when they do, Liam loses his shit that she's at death's door.

description

From there it kinda of turns into If I Stay, rock star style, complete with constant FLASHBACKS.

Which I usually loathe.

description

But in this case?

description

Flashbacks of how Liam and Gabby met and all of the other bitchy things Gabby did in previous books - and why she did them - are sprinkled in between scenes depicting the present.

With some of this:

description

And a whole lotta this:

description

Basically, it's the "Oh My God you might be dying and I realize how much I love you and will now grovel at your bedside" scenario that is soooooooooo overdone.

Soooooooo cliched.

And.

So.

Fucking.

Awesome.

I luuuuuuurve this shtick.

For serious, it's like soap opera/reality TV/Netflix binge/Ben & Jerry's Phish Food CRACK to me.

description

I could read this crud all day.

#SorryNotSorry

But anyway, this is a must read for readers of the series.

I really enjoyed it.

Especially because I didn't think I would.

The Rocker Who Hates Me was the tenth book in the Rocker series by Terri Anne Browning. The series should be read in order as Browning developed the characters throughout the series until each character had his own book.

We met Liam and Gabriella previously and knew they were in love with each other but they both had demons to overcome. Some they already had, but others not so much. I loved how Browning told the entire story bouncing from past to present. The beginning was also part of the ending with gaps filled in from the past while the full story unfolded. It was a perfect fit for the series and I loved it. Liam and Gabriella went through a lot to get an HEA and The Rocker Who Hates Me was my favorite to date. If not for the editing errors, it was a total five star. Zander and Annabelle are next in the Rocker Who Betrays Me and I can’t wait!

I'm a bit dismayed. I've waited long for this book. I thought Liam and Gabriella's story will surpass Shane and Harper's. Eh, I was wrong. I am not a fan of Past and Present back and forth story. I mean, Maybe if it was only for the first couple of chapters. But for every chapters? No, thanks.

Been waiting to read Liam and Gabriella story for so long and I'm glad that their story is good.
description

I feel bad for Gabriella because I've always thought that she was a whore and I've always hated her. But after I read this book, I changed my mind. I think I really need to apologize to her LOL
description

Gabriella is definitely not a bad girl like I've always thought she was. After reading her POV now I know why she acts so bitchy in the previous 9 books in this series. She's one strong woman. I like her ♥

I'm happy finally I get to know what actually happened to Liam and Gabriella in the past. This book is pretty short. I didn't want it to end actually (。•́︿•̀。)
What I really like most from this series is that each book always ends with a happy ending ♥
description

Maybe I've said this multiple times but I'm going to say this again anyway, just to be clear, that I really love all the characters in this series. All the Demon's Wings & OtherWorld member, all the girls and of course the kids.
description

After reading 10 books, I feel like I'm also a member of their happy family. I really hope that this is not the last installment of this series because it will make me so sad to say goodbye to the characters

Realmente recomendo!

I confess that I started reading the book with great suspicion, because the author presents us a heroine that I really hated. But while reading and a few laughs, cries, the version of the facts by the heroine's point of view ... I gave in and I love the story. Really recommend it!

I loved it!!

Even though mostly I have a hard time remembering the past events since it's been a while since the last time I reread The Rocker... series. But I deeply enjoyed reading this book because I hated Gabriella once. It's inevitable, I mean, she was a bitch right? But in this book.. Gosh, I love her. I love it.

I was hoping for more drama though, since I'm a drama addict. But overall, I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the next installment of the series! <3

Review by Lisa Kane
I have been waiting for Liam Bryant and Gabriella Moreitti's story since the first time her name was mentioned. I knew there was more to this character than the bitchy, man stealing facade she portrayed. I have been messaging Ms. Browning begging her to write Brie's story-swearing I knew she could redeem this girl, in spite of the readers' hatred for her. And she did that and more!

At the end of The Rocker Who Shatters Me Gabriella is shot trying to save Nik and Emmie's little girl Mia from being kidnapped. Dallas Cage is trying her best to contain the bleeding while waiting for the paramedics to arrive. Liam saw Brie (as he calls her) lying in a puddle of her blood and he is devastated. What a way to for that book to end and what a cliffy for us Liam/Brie fans!

The paramedics arrive, Liam goes to the hospital and they have to literally throw him out of the ER to work on Brie. He is gutted and scared out of his mind. Over and over he replays their history and how they ended up at this point. Consequently, at the same time he is remembering, Brie is under anesthesia and her mind is wandering all over. Memories of her turbulent history with Liam and her interactions with the Demons and Axton are racing through out her brain. She drifts in and out.

"Brie, I'm here. Come back to me, baby. Please. I love you so damn much. Come on, look at me."

This is a clever way for us to find out exactly what went down for Liam and Brie and why they failed to make their relationship work. The holes of their story are plugged with the missing pieces we never had. Why did Liam turn to drugs in spite of his feelings for Brie? Why did they break up? Why did she go with Axton? What really happened that night with Drake? Why did Liam crash his car after he got out of rehab? Whey did he throw Brie out of his hospital room? See, so many questions needing so many answers.

If I hadn't been such a f#*king stupid screw-up, my ring would have already been on this chick's finger. All I'd had to do was stop being a pussy when I first met her and we could have been married with who knew how many kids running around.

But getting those answers is great, but what happens if Brie's injuries she sustained are more than her body can handle and she doesn't survive? What if, in spite of the love they both obviously still feel, they can't fix what is broken between them?

I loved this story-I devoured it and immediately re read it again. I always knew there was more to Liam than a reformed drug addict who gave Shane a run for the title of the biggest manwhore award. And I knew that Brie only allowed a small fraction of her true self to show. She was far more patient with Liam than I could ever have been, and gave him more chances than he deserved. But all good things come to those that wait..as for me, I got the closure for this couple I so desperately wanted!

"You are my everything. Forever will never be long enough to be with you."

Gabriella & Liam

Gabriella & Liam wanted each other from the moment they met. But Liam denied his feelings for the Italian Rocker Chick and tried to run the other way. Gabriella ran to Axton Cage. Axton fighting his own internal feelings for Emmie welcomed the distraction. Axton & Brie never really fit that well together as a couple but tried to remain friends after the breakup. Axton's new love did not like that fact no matter how many times Axton tried to explain the relationship. Until Liam was in a horrible car accident.

Liam & Brie tried to be in a relationship and it all was going well except for the drugs. Liam still had an addiction and it started to seep into Brie's life with potentially deadly side effects. Brie had to walk away. Liam knew he had to get clean in order to get Brie back. After being clean and sober for months he went to Brie to tell her how he felt only to be feed lies by her grandfather that Brie had moved on. The same night a horrible car accident happens and Liam is left broken.

Liam pushes Brie away but she refuses to go. Brie in a last attempt to make Liam see they belong together plays a festival that his band OtherWorld is at and while being a hero to a sweet little girl Brie is injured. Now Liam sees he was stupid to push Brie away and waits be her bedside for her to wake up and see that they do belong together.

I like that Emmie and Brie put the past behind them and try to move forward with a healthier relationship as well as the relationship with Dallas and Brie. I really disliked Gabriella before reading this particular book and now I have a better understanding of the feud between Emmie and Brie. And you start really loving Brie after she saves Mia from a horrible fate.

4.5 STARS!

Another fantastic addition to Terri Anne Browning's The Rocker series! I love Terri Anne's writing style, and she delivers a well written, interesting and sexy story with this book. Her Rockers are what I think of first when someone mentions the Rock Star romance genre, and it's not without a good reason. She writes sexy, swoon-worthy rock stars and the strong, sexy and smart woman who capture their hearts. And she does it really well.

I'm a huge fan of Terri Anne's and her Rockers, and I really enjoyed this story. We've had glimpses of Liam's issues in previous books, but here is where they are delved into in much greater detail. Gabriella was introduced early in the series, and, let's be honest now, no one liked her. I went into this book not liking Gabriella, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to come around where she was concerned. Well, I was wrong, and Terri Anne surprised me with this character.

This book starts right where The Rocker Who Shatters Me ends, and in some spots, it actually overlaps or runs concurrently to that story. In an attempt to avoid giving away any spoilers, I'll just say that it's an intense scene. This book plays out not only the events of that scene, but also some events, involving Liam and/or Gabriella as well as other characters, from previous books. Lots of explanations going on here, and it was great. Looking forward to more from Terri Anne and her Rockers!

Another amazing hit

This book is so so good. We finally get to she how Gabriella and Liam started and what brought them to the place they are now. There is so much that goes on in this book that I want to share but as a reader I like to experience them as I read the book not be looking for all the good parts you know are coming. I will say once you start this book you won't be able to put it down till the very last word. This is a must read

This book was AMAZING!!! Another great read from the Rocker Series!

I absolutely adore this series! I have read every book in this series and it never fails to keep me entertained. I was hooked on all of the characters from the beginning, and I have only fallen more in love with them as the series has progressed. The writing is great, the characters are well-developed, the stories are interesting and fresh, and the guys are sexiness personified. What is not to love?

I was anxiously awaiting this story. I've had an in interesting relationship with Gabriella. She has been someone who was misunderstood throughout this series, but also someone who kept putting herself in bad situations that made it hard to like her at times. I knew she had been with Axton, and that it was definitely up and down, back and forth, on and off again. It seemed like these two had a hard time letting each other go, but weren't really meant to be together. Then you find out that she also dated Liam, Axton's band mate. That is just asking for trouble. I didn't really know much about that relationship, as it was kind of kept on the DL for awhile. We got a little bit about why it ended, but not much about how it started or how intense it really was. Every question you ever wanted answered about her is finally revealed.

I was wondering how the author was planning on redeeming her after she had been involved in so many terrible things that kept making it harder for other's to find their happily ever after. I always wondered about her in the back of my mind...waiting to see if she actually had some goodness in her. When I read the end of The Rocker Who Shatters Me, I knew that this was a book that I could not miss. I was stunned. This was the absolute best thing that could have been written for her. It was the only way that I felt she could truly be redeemed in most readers eyes. From that moment on I was hooked on Gabriella. I wanted and needed to know more.

I really loved Liam and Brie's story. It was definitely much more intricate than anyone could have anticipated. I absolutely loved the flash backs to how they met, how their relationship developed, and how she ended up with Axton first. This story was perfectly written. I couldn't imagine a better story line than this. I wasn't as involved in the rest of the OtherWorld's lives as I was with Axton, and then with Liam after you read more about him in Axton and Dallas' story. They were present throughout the other books, but in a much more abstract way. You didn't get to know them as much, so there was a lot of mystery surrounding them initially. I'm glad that the author chose to hold off on writing this story until much later in the series. I think that it was revealed at the perfect time. Gabriella needed her time to shine, and shine she did.

I really liked her character. I think that she represented a good many women. She found herself in a situation that she had been dreaming of for years. She was forced to deal with all the bs that surrounds a rocker's lifestyle, especially since she was constantly around almost nothing but men (and their one-night stands). I was dying to know what caused the rift between her and Emmie, because we all know that if Emmie doesn't like you, then you may as well just disappear. I thought that the author did a great job of tying this whole series together, especially since a lot of these events are going on at the same time, and that can be problematic with keeping things new and interesting. Knowing when to reveal information and when to keep it back is a real art form. This author has it in spades.

This book had a lot of drama which is evident in every one of these stories. There was a lot of push and pull between Liam and Gabriella. They were clearly attracted to each other from the beginning, but a lot of guys get off on flaunting other women in front of our faces-even if they don't want us. Liam did a fantastic job of pushing Brie away. It was great to see that there was actually a reason for that madness.

I thought that Liam was great. He was the typical rocker who struggled with drugs and alcohol. Constantly making choices that tested his friendships and life. He had a long road to recovery, and one that was very painful. I was happy to see him glimpses of the man I knew he could be along the way. There was one scene especially that I was just so happy with him.

This book started out with a bang. Literally. Not the type of bang you are probably used to seeing at the beginning of a book anymore, but one that was absolutely necessary for this series. I won't go into too much detail here, but it was mentioned at the end of the previous book in the series. While I always liked Liam, and thought I would enjoy his story, it wasn't until he revealed his true thoughts, feelings and motivations in this story that I was completely hooked. I loved seeing his struggle with Brie. His worry over whether he would ever be able to make things right between them. His absolute devotion to her and their future. The way he took care of her. He was just amazing!

This was such a phenomenal book, and I think everyone should read it! There was only one thing that I didn't really like about this book, and it was a small thing...I wanted to know more about the female that caused all this trouble in the beginning. It was never mentioned in the epilogue, just sort of glossed over. I don't know if that's because it will all be revealed in the next book or what, but I was kind of hoping for a bit more in this story. Other than that, I was blown away. I think people are finally going to be a fan of Brie, and what she sacrificed in this story. I think that the author did a great job with keeping this book believable all the way to the end. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Liam Bryant fell for the beautiful little Italian rocker the moment she crashed into his life. But, he was a junkie and all he ever did was hurt the people who cared about him. So, the only thing he could do was push her away. He realizes no matter how much he tries, he can’t fight the feelings he has for her. He gives in and makes her his, only to lose her repeatedly.

Gabriella Moretti couldn’t help but fall for Liam Bryant the sexy as sinner rocker from Other World. He was a lost soul but something in his eyes and his smile when he showed it told her there was so much more to Liam then he let the world see. She fell for him fast and hard, too bad he didn’t want her like she wanted him. One day he confessed his feelings and Gabriella is elated but her happiness comes to a crashing end when the man she loves lies to her putting her beloved nephew in danger. Heartbroken she cuts him loose leaving them both shattered and alone.

Gabriella figures out too late that she should fight for the man she loves. Now she’s decided to get the man she loves back no matter what it takes she will fight for them even if she is the only one fighting.

I remember reading Reckless with their Hearts, which featured Alexis and Jared by Terri Anne Browning. Alexis had a cousin Gabriella. Gabriella Moretti was the nasty rocker who tried to break up Nik and Emmie from the Rocker Series. So of course, I had an instant dislike for her, but as I read Gabriella and Alexis’ sisterly relationship, I began to see Gabriella through Alexis’ eyes.

Gabriella is a tough chick who has a hard time showing her vulnerability. Except when it comes to one hot rocker Liam Bryant, he holds her heart in his hands and can crush it so easily. Sadly, Gabriella and Liam hurt each other continuously throughout the Rocker Series. I always felt there was so much more to their story, and I was right.

Gabriella is a miss-understood girl whose gruff attitude comes off as bitchy. She risks her life to save her archenemies child and now she is fighting for her life.

Liam pushed Gabriella out of his life more than once but now when he faces the possibly of losing her for good her knows he wants nothing more than to keep her forever.

Gabriella and Liam’s story was the best one of the Rocker Series yet as far as this reader is concerned. I could not put it down. A love story filled with angst, lust, desire, and a love that can’t be broken. Their love was tumultuous, filled with regret and broken promises. Yet it was never broken no matter how much they tried to push each other way.

Told in alternating POV’s from the two main characters the story flowed really well. I loved how the author went back and forth between past and present.

Giving us the back-story of how Gabriella and Liam first met and filling in the blanks from previous books that featured incidents between the couple that made me angry for Gabriella and broke my heart for both of them.

Gabriella and Liam are deep, real characters with real problems that threaten to tear them apart. When they finally come together, it’s explosive and thrilling yet sweet and tender at the same time. This couple’s love is undying even when they don’t know how the other really feels.
I loved how everyone rally's around Liam as he sits vigil by Gabriella's side while she fights for her life. These character's are family and they hold each other up its one of the things I love about the series the most.

Terri Anne Browning is one of my favorite authors, the Rocker Series is one of my favorites, and this book did not disappoint. A must read for fans of the series, and as always I highly recommend the entire series. I will be moving on to The Rocker Who Betrayed Me next Zander and Annabelle’s story.

Did my absolute best to go into this one with an open mind... and I think I pretty much succeeded. I liked it... not loved it but liked it.

I was never a big fan of Gabriella (the Italian goddess) but that's sort of the way her character was meant to be depicted in the past books. She was deemed the Queen B**** for various reasons and I tended to agree at that time. In this book, we were able to get the other side of the story in those scenes (which was cool to read about) but it still didn't totally turn me into #TeamGabriella fan.

We also got to see what she went through with Liam; more about his drug use and how it affected their relationship, her Nanno's involvement with things and how it all began. I liked going back in time to get a chance to learn more of their story but I didn't feel fully invested in their relationship, compared to other past Rocker couples. I didn't feel that much desired NEED to get their HEA right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they did get one but honestly, I would've been fine if it happened later on.

My favorite thing about the whole book was that at the end, it didn't sugarcoat the "relationships" Gabriella had with Emmie or Dallas. Sure, Emmie was able to reach out and offer a heartfelt thank you to Gabriella (she did help save Emmie's daughter's life after all) and helped Liam pull a few strings in preparation for him and Gabriella to spend their life together but it didn't morph into some fake/BFF friendship. Same goes for Dallas. Her and Gabriella will never have the friendship where they'd tell the other that her butt really does look big in those pants but they sort of respect each other, largely due in part to Liam's relationship with the both of them. LOVED how Gabriella pointed that fact out at the end.

The epilogue, for me, was bittersweet. I liked Liam and Gabriella's fairytale ending but continued to hold a grudge about the whole Harper and Shane situation. Hearing about what Liam and Gabriella were blessed with... it just makes me want to wait for the last book in this series, read it because Harper and Shane are supposed to get their MUCH desired prayers answered in one way, shape or form, and then go back to the book I left off at and pick it up from there. I just can't stand the thought of Harper's heartache being dragged out until the end. *sigh*

Oh and how can I forget... what about the conclusion of the "danger element" of the story? When will that resolve itself? I'm dying over here and need my questions answered STAT! ;)

Oh how we love to hate Gabriella Morietti. She’s been called every name in the book, fought with all the girls. She’s been despised by many, but loved by one. This story allows us to see Gabriella in a different light. It allows us to see what’s really been going on with her for the past seven years…

Gabi or Little Brie has loved Liam from day one. “Didn’t he realize that I wasn’t ever going to leave him? I loved him too much to ever leave him willingly.” After trying time and time again to get the one man that held Gabi’s heart to open up and commit to her, she could no longer stand by and endure the heartache of watching her one true love, love everything except her.

Liam knows what and whom he wants in his life but doesn’t feel he deserves it, “I’d taken the wrong paths in life and then taken the long way back to a place where I could ever begin to feel worthy of my family’s love.” Liam pushes Brie away at every turn not feeling worthy of her. He eventually pushes her right into the arms of Axton, his fellow band mate from Another World.

After several years of inflicting pain upon each other, their families and members of both bands, a tragic turn of events brings them together, but not until after a few very touch and go moments for everyone involved. Liam finally opens his heart to the idea of Gabriella, “How could she still love me after everything I’d put her through? After all that fucked-up shit that I’d thrown her way time after time.” Brie very much still loves Liam and refuses to give him up without a fight, “You’re all kinds of perfect for me. You are the only man I’ve ever loved. Ever. I would have fought the entire world for us if I’d known that you loved me. I only need you. No one else matters.”

This is a fantastic story of jealousy, heartache, struggle, redemption and love. All of the band members, wives and children make appearances in this book. We even get to witness hell freezing over!!!

I highly recommend this story along with all of Teri Browning’s books.

Gabriella and Liam.......I've been waiting a long time for their story after getting snippets throughout this entire series.

Gabriella "Brie".  We finally get a true picture of her character.  The misconceptions, rumors, and assumptions throughout the series are finally addressed and I was relieved.  I was always pulling for Brie and Liam.....always, even with his drug addiction and the denial of his feelings.

This book picks up right from the end of The Rocker Who Shatters Me when Gabriella is shot while saving Emmie and Nik's daughter, Mia.  What a long wait to find out what happened to her!!

This books transitions from the present, with Gabriella struggling in the hospital, to the past and the many years of her f'd up relationship with Liam.....there were a couple good years for them, but Liam was a tough one, never one to share his feelings.  We definitely needed to go into the past to fully understand Brie's actions and thought processes.  After two years apart, it took a tragedy to bring Liam back to Brie......I was sooo emotional!

I cried at almost all the hospital scenes...sniff sniff.  Liam was finally being the man Brie needed.  Oh, and the scene with Nik and Emmie at the hospital.......my heart.....I love these two characters from Book #1 and all through this series!  They are such a strong couple, and Emmie is one badass chick!  Every time a new book comes out in this series, it's like revisiting old friends, I just love them all and will continue with this series until Ms. Browning stops writing it!!

If you haven't started this series, START NOW with Book #1, The Rocker That Holds Me!  You won't be disappointed!!

This book, compared to the others, didn't have the same BANG as the other ones did.

The fact that Brie was shot, and hanging on life by a thread was what kept the story interesting.

Personally, I haaaattteee it when the characters go into the past and relive their memories. I don't like a visit to the past. I like it better when characters hint at, or tell us what happens in the past rather than relive the whole with them. So I just skimmed through a majority of those memories. Which means I skimmed through a majority of the book since the book isn't even that long. Just stay in the present please!

Because I did read this pretty fast, I think I may have skipped (?) on what happened to the shooter, can someone please let me know what happens to her? <---- this should not be a spoiler because this was in the last book.

In the end, I do like Brie a whole lot better than the initial impression I had of her. I went from hating to liking her. I feel that Brie has really strong feelings for Liam, especially after all the shit that he made her go through in the past. Liam is one damn lucky guy for having a girl like her waiting for him.

I actually enjoyed this book. Im not a big fan of past and present story telling but it worked just fine with this book.

I love when an author can take a character that I hate so much and turn in into someone that I am actually rooting for. I despised Gabriella since book 1 and after reading her POV, I felt myself wanting her HEA.
I liked the friendship that was built between Gabriella and Mia. I liked that the author "kept it real" between Gabriella and Emmie. Their relationship sounded real and not fake or strained. I would like for Mia to get her own book. She sounds like an even better version of Emmie. It would be interesting to see how her life plays out. Being the daughter of two very important and famous people.

I cant wait for the next book. The gang keeps on getting bigger and bigger.

Awesome read!

MORE GIVE ME MORE!

It's funny how you never knows what is really happening unless it is happening to you. Gabie was made out to be this bitchy...slutty woman who everyone hated because.....because that's what we were made to believe. Little did we know she was miserable and lonely. It's hard to love someone who you THINKS doesn't love you back. Wow....this book was awesome. I loved the way it was told in bot POV and from past to present. I cleared up all the questions and flowed beautifully. Liam broke my heart and then put it all back together again!! Can't wait for me!! Still have many questions.......this is what I love about this series!

Loved it. What happen to the shooter? Anyway, thank you Ms. Browning for giving Gabriella a chance to tell her story. She was one those characters' that you tend to hate and love all in one breath. This story has lots of heartbreaking, tender, suspenseful, sweet, and sexy moments. Enjoyed reading how this group of rockers, wives, girlfriends, and their children band together when one of their own is struggling to survive. Totally recommend this series. Although each book of this series can be read standalone. It's better to read the entire series to really appreciate each characters' background.

I adore Terri Browning's Rocker series, I can’t even say anymore which book in this series is my favorite, after I read this one I am sure it is Liam’s and Gabriella’s story….but who knows what will come next.
Terri Anne Browning is a great writer, I recommend her books to everybody, don’t miss out!

I have never liked Gabriella and in TRWHM it is my every annoyance come to life. There is no book here. The two characters spend time basically occupying head-space and flashbacks because one of them has been horrifically injured during an attempt on another member of the tribes' life. As they say no good deed go unpunished and for the reader we are punished with flashback after flashback. And then... It wraps. I swear to god. The book just wraps.

My problem with Gabriella is her character has no meat on it's bones. That plus Emmie (who at this point I am kinda over her Super Bitch impersonation) and her relentless character just sucks the life outta the story. All the other female leads just kinda are just there. It is almost as if TAB has run out of ways to make them interesting so she relies on what their characters were in their past books.

As for the protagonist, we never find out who, what or why? I was so gobsmacked I think I snorted smoke out of my ears. I kinda thought I was over this series but to get to the next MC book I felt I had to go through this one. Well but for the one or two mentions of the name Flick, there was no tie-in.

Another ick for me is that Gabriella is this supposed up and coming rocker and through her whole ordeal she had one ex she banged for sex to forget the guy she truly wanted. A cousin, a bitchy aunt a bitchier (deceased) uncle and an emaciated addict who was just a bronc between the sheets. I never had the sense that she was tied to family or friends bigger than who she was or ones who made her and her life worthwhile. It was actually quite sad for her. If TAB continues this series she needs to punch it up a bit in the character development of new ones and put a muzzle on Emmie. Her ass should evolve and still be good at her job but not so craven and horrible to "non" demons.

TRWHM: 2 stars
sex: 1 star
Story line: 2 stars (only on the strength of what came before and that just barely)
Series development: 1 star
tired retreads: 4 stars for the same old, same old
Read again factor: 0
