This is the story of how they came to be and how a young Issac began to gain the reputation of a man who was deadly with a six gun.

I'm always on the lookout for a new, good, western author but I just don't understand the glowing reviews for this set. And then to have him compared to L'amour is insulting. Why? Little to no character development, too much repetition, minimal descriptors of the characters and landscape. And everything is written in the present tense (!) in short, choppy sentences in a very amateur fashion. Add the abundance of spelling and grammar errors and it makes for a very unpleasant read. Grrr... at the very least use spell check to clean up the obvious errors. I think there could be a decent story in there somewhere but there's just too much work to get to it.

I would have enjoyed this series a little better had I been able to read all the books in order. Oh. well, good reads anyway.
