London

Dante Marx is many things.
He’s impatient, demanding, irrational, devious, and full of himself, just to name a few.
It’s impossible to ignore him because he refuses to let me.
Regardless of his behavior, his temper, his passion, and his lies, I want him.
This man is making me lose my mind, but I’m ready to lose myself completely in him.

Dante

London is everywhere.
She’s on my mind, in my face, and in my goddamn world.
I don’t want to want her, but I do. I want her more than my next breath.
I don’t know how to keep a woman like her because I’m no Prince fucking Charming.
I can’t give her up, nor will I ever willingly do so. She’s my obsession―my whole goddamn world, no matter how much of a pain in my ass she is. Nothing in my life will ever again make sense without her.

18+ Due to language, sexual content, violence, and drugs.
This book contains an element of stalking, which some readers may find upsetting.

*** 4 STARS ***

When I started this I wasn't sure but by the end I was TOTALLY drawn into the story

DANTE

LONDON

This is another really hard one to review without giving too much away.We are introduced to the two main characters Dante and London and right from the start it's obvious Dantes interest in London is more than it seems. He has an interest in her before he's even met her.Once he sees her it's another story...he is captivated by her...

For the first 30% I wasn't feeling it that much to be honest...Dante kept showing up everywhere she was,she tried to resist him....back and forth it went..but then when they got together it Totally picked up...

Dante is the ultimate Alpha Male,he's sexy, bossy, controlling and a complete asshole most of the time but I couldn't help but love him.
London is a feisty girl, hard working and driven in her goal to follow in her Grandfather's footsteps and run his company...
These two are explosive together and the sex scenes were hot and not overdone.

Like I said,it's impossible to go into the plot without massive spoilers and I thought I had pretty much worked it out until the ending..

It ends on a cliffy but for the way the book went it was the BEST ending there could have been and I'm totally ready for London to get badass in the next one,if ever a girl needed to be high fived it's her!!!

I WILL DEFINITELY BE READING THE NEXT ONE !!

CAN'T WAIT .....

Because I am a binge reader, I waited for the second book to come out before reading the first. Maybe I should've just kept waiting.

Now, you may differ here, but IMO...Alternating POVs does NOT mean writing the same scenes back to back from BOTH the H/h POV. And for an opening scene....that's just fucking sloppy.

A full 25% of this novel is one week where the H stalks the h just to have a conversation and he's coming off as a bumbling asshole. Personally, I'd have called 911 the first time he showed up at my apartment building. I can't even see the reason for the attraction between the two.

50% in, the sex is kinda...un-hot.

60% Jesus, at this point, the only thing this has going for it is it's mob related. I'm almost positive I hate the h's POV; and I'm not even sure I like the H's POV.

70% in, and I'm supposed to believe the h JUST NOW figured out the H is of Italian descent? Sure guys are named Dante who aren't Italian, sure Marx is a German name...but he's such a gangster in a $4k suit it's hard to believe she'd be so stupid. Then again she missed Gramps' involvement. But with an MBA, I woulda thought she had a bit more going on upstairs. Who knew? And...frankly...the whole skin color thing...I'm a northern Italian, pale skinned, blue-eyed redhead. We come in all shades.

78% and I just can't believe she hasn't figured this guy out. It's a bit TSTL...no, it's A LOT TSTL.

“It’s a fucking import and export business, London, dealing in skin, narcotics, money, stolen goods. Fuck, anything that’s worth street value has been run through your company.”

THIS is the company she wants to run. THE ONE she's gonna fight the mob for. Really? WTF does she think she's going to do (that's legit) with her grandfather's "company" - Seriously?!?!

It makes. NO. SENSE.

What non-mob female with a respectable MBA wants to run a fucking mob $$ laundering front.

Really. Think about it.

She's totally TSTL.

3.5 Plot
3 Execution
3.5 Dante
1 London
1.5 Steam

2.75 stars over all - the ending just made her so TSTL I couldn't handle giving it anything higher. She just ruined it for me.

Absolutely amazing!!!

This book is everything I thought it would not be. The writing and flow amazing. The fact that this book turned into a Mafia romance Amazing. This is the first book I have read from this author and I can truly say, " this is one of my top 2015 reads".
The book is about a girl named London who is working as a nightclub waitress and a student getting her MBA. She crosses paths with a major Alpha male Dante. He in my opinion is a true Alpha male. He is possessive, a little psycho when it comes to her, only has eyes for her, demanding, bad boy sexy mouth, sometimes insensitive and still a little sweet...but only for her. This girl London makes Dante feel things he is not used to. He is also not use to a girl denying him or giving him the finger. But London is educated and smart and witty and beautiful.
I don't want to give to much because it's one of those books where your telling your self WTF!!!! The book ends in CliffHanger and boy I can't wait for round 2. The cliffhanger ended perfectly...nothing to crazy where you hate the author....doesn't leave you too much hanging..,just enough....for you to breath and say WTF!!!! Okay I guess I'll wait for part2. Love love love!!!

This was a reread for me, I can't remember when I first read this one but it was a fair while back and i enjoyed it just as much this second time around. London and Dante's relationship is beyond fucked up. He's a complete and utter psycho and makes no apologies for this fact. London gets off on his particular brand of Cray Cray, that's for sure. His hyper-fixation and total obsession was curiously adorable as was his utter confusion regarding experiencing these feelings which is all new ground for Dante. I've experienced some sociopathic clueless asshole anti-heroes before but Dante takes it to a whole new level. He's an unapologetic steamroller with a definite god complex and London is the target firmly set in his sights.

He systematically sets out to wear her down, Dante wants her and is determined to acquire her, by whatever means necessary. Not that London is seriously that resistant no matter how much she protests it's basically all front. London's default setting is bitch and the constant push and pull between them is its own form of foreplay. She gets off on Dante's stalkerish attentions in every way all whilst still recognising how unhealthy it all is.

But Dante is also keeping secrets ones that when London discovers the truth may break her. He's also arrogant enough that he believes he can still talk her around and gain her forgiveness after the fact. it never crosses his mind for one moment that his actions may potentially cost him the woman that he now loves.

This was such a trip and I enjoyed every second of it. Dante may be an utter head case but he also had at times a vulnerable charm, something that only London gets to witness first-hand. Dante is an original and the chemistry between these two was electric and so intense the page sizzled with the heat they both projected.

I'm looking forward to reading book two again, especially with how we left things here. I recommend this duet and it was such an easy well-written read that had me in a bloody chokehold throughout.

I don't know where to start with this review, I was completely hooked as soon as I started reading but, and I know this sounds like a contradiction but I didn't actually decide I liked it until I was quite way in.
I just don't know how to start with this, Dante is more than he appears, he's a powerful man who's used to getting exactly what he wants but he's stopped in his tracks as soon as he hears her voice, Dante is drawn to London she becomes an obsession he can't shake but we always feel there's more to it.
London comes from money but she's working her socks off both at college and work, she's not interested in men until she meets Dante and even then she tries her best not to become involved.
Dante's an interesting character, he's controlling, demanding, irrational, devious....you name it and he's it but at times he's also vulnerable and nervous and really truly wants London and I loved him for it, he changes so much for her and while I loved him at times I seriously disliked him at others, even though he's not without his faults I just can't help loving a man who wants and cares for a woman so much.
London, she's feisty, independent, loyal, intelligent, beautiful and swears like a sailor, most of the time I loved her but she also annoyed me at times.
This book is not perfect, there's some inconsistencies plus it has a cliffhanger but I loved this book, I couldn't put it down it was addictive and emotional and I can't wait for the next one.
This is the first book I've read by this author but the first thing I did on finishing this was to download 'The Ride'

So this is a DNF for me at 37%. Dante is fucking crazy and I'm not just throwing that word around. I mean he legit stalked her and she was like, "oh ok, he's probably just having a weird week." What?
He has so many different mood swings, complains about EVERYTHING, and then deals with things he doesn't want to like a petulant child. It was not attractive at all. London....she is supposed to have like 3 degrees, but seems to lack a lot of common sense. I just had no desire to keep reading. I know that a lot of couples love their crazy and what others may deem "unhealthy" aspects of a relationship, but if it works for you, cool. Sometimes that's hot too. But this was just...not hot.

Would have been a 5 star book if it wasn't for the H getting drunk and trying to have sex with a random woman after kissing the h. So that he could forget about her. I'm so over this trope.
I loved how crazy obsessed the H was with the h. The situation above was just such a story killer

I don’t even know where to begin with this review!

All I can say is……WOW!

Sick Bastard starts off just like its title. We are introduced to the heroine, London, as she works as a server in a restaurant where the patrons are, yes, Sick Bastards. One night, she meets Dante, who immediately, the sign in the window is blinking over and over again….Sick Bastard, Sick Bastard, Sick Bastard! Their first meeting is OFF THE CHARTS steamy. I was a little thrown off by their encounter in the alley, but looking back, I realized it’s where the writer Jaci J, gives you a peek of what the future holds for this couple.

Again, at first, I was put off by Dante’s stalking, but just like London, I started to like it. The writer did such a great job with writing Dante’s character that you just can’t think of him as NOT a stalker. I love how Dante knows how its wrong, how he should leave London alone, but he keeps doing it, and I wanted him to keep doing it!! I LOVED this part of their relationship.

The banter between Dante and London was off the charts funny, witty, steamy at times, light, dark, passionate and at times, on the same page, all of those things at once!! I just thoroughly enjoyed their back-and-forth.

So many times, in books, I want the heroine to react a certain way, to go against what her alpha-male boyfriend wants, and they don’t. They’ll succumb to their charm and fall into bed with them. London didn’t do that! She defied Dante a lot and I LOVED IT! He always found her or he’d correct her use of foul language, they’d fight just as London and Dante fight , and they’d go to sleep or yes, they’d hit the sheets. But I love how you never knew what they would do. And however their “fights” played out, was how it needed to happen. Sometimes the fights would be off the charts and they would need to be passionate and sometimes they would just need to slink their both rough-around-the-edges selves into bed softly.

Throughout the book, I felt Dante falling in love with London. I didn’t feel it so much in London’s character, with her, it was more subtle; in the way she would climb in his lap or the way she would look at him. I do think the stalking and his dominance kept her at bay a little. I felt like she didn’t quite know where things would head next with him, would he take his “creepy” tendencies to the next level? But with Dante, his love was palpable. Jaci did an excellent job in making the reader really feel his love. She did this by describing in such perfect detail, the thoughts that were dominated by his heart and showing us through his actions how London was the oxygen he needed to live and breathe. As the reader, I felt it all.

At the end, the secret behind who Dante is, is finally revealed and the reader knows whats coming. Yet, I couldn’t believe that London didn’t start putting it all together. Dante, I felt, handled things at the end much better than London. I felt London questioned him so much throughout the whole book, until the end, where she made a lot of assumptions. I hope this gets quickly resolved in the next book. They have so much more to work through than who is going to lead the family business, in my opinion! I look forward to them working together in a professional capacity. Oh one can only imagine the fights between these two as competitors!

Bottom line, everything about this book WORKED!! The insane (literally at times!) chemistry between the characters, their dialogue, the couple’s interactions with the secondary characters (Goldfish!!), the family dynamics, it all just worked! Dante really is a Sick Bastard, he was before he met London, and is even more so after he falls in love with her.

I truly enjoyed this book. BUY IT NOW! I can’t wait for the sequel. I will literally be STALKING the book blogs for any information on the 2nd book’s release!

What a great way to spend my Memorial Day! Thank you Jaci J.

Everything you thought you knew about Alpha men......forget it!!! Buckle up for the ride, baby! There's a new Alpha in town and his name is Dante!

Dante and London......man! This couple is the epitome of everything I hold dear ! Their story gave me life! I absolutely love Dante! He is a true Alpha man and his tactics for getting every single thing he wants is DELISH! London knew resisting Dante was a lost cause! I knew their thing was too good to be true but I wanted it for them! I really did! I'm an odd gal so in spite of Dante doing the worst thing he could do to London, I want him to win! I'm Dante's #1 fan. I want him to have London's company and London. Dante knows what's best for London. He proves it time and time again. Why won't she listen? I love how strong she is and gives him the business but London should not, in her own words, come for Dante. It'll ruin everything! Oh man I'm soooooooo stoked I stumbled across this story! The title screamed buy me crazy woman!!! LOL!

This story will give you life if you like rough gangster mafia men!!!! I'm a sucker for a thug in an Armani suit who knows how to control his business and his woman! This story is an awesome read!!! If I could give this story a gazillion stars, I would! Anyone who is curious enough to read this story, you will not be disappointed!

Writing didn't do it for me. Also, I found the fact that the heroine didn't know what the hero did for a living until the last 10 pages ridiculous. It's like she had her head up her ass for the majority of the book.

I would also like to point out that nothing happens in the first 90% of the book. It's basically stalking, sex, angry heroine, shut-heroine-up-sex and then more stalking. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Holy crap....what a ride this was. Dante and London, two people who meet and have this crazy and I mean crazy relationship. The back and forth between these two characters will give you whip-lash. Loved London's 'brother' Matt. Really enjoyed this instalment...glad I have the sequel to see how this story ends.

This is the first book in the Sick and Twisted series by Jaci J. I don't know why but it took me so long to actually finish this book. I started it June 2015 made it to 70% and then stopped and moved onto something else. I have so many books in my library that I've done this to that I'm now trying to go back and finish at least some of them. I didn't stop reading this one because I didn't like it quite the opposite actually. I really liked it and I love Dante and London as a couple but I didn't want to see what happened when the truth came out. After reading reviews for Twisted Bitch I won't be reading it because I don't like that she stays mad at him through out most of the book. In my mind this book ended with a HEA and Dante and London never had to go through all the bullshit of the second book.

After some thinking I went with 1 Star because unfortunately there were more things I did not like than things I did like.
We meet London, she works as a waitress in some awful place where she meets Dante. Dante wants her and he's relentless, he stalks her, doesn't take a no for an answer and finally she caves.
We know Dante is shady, London knows it too but she decides to let it go, there's also a hint that she is in between some horrible situation with her father and grandfather but again she looks the other way.
London's naive and a brat basically. She finally snaped at the end but for me, it was too late.
Dante is just creepy and dominant (and not in a good way), he scared me not allured me.
The writing also was a bit off. There was no transitions between situations and it was distracting and confusing.
There were things that did not add up. For example, she has a driver and a nice apartment in a nice building with closets full of designers' clothes but she worked as a waitress and let man grope her for 500 dollars tips. HUH? And Dante first said he didn't know about her and then he knew who she was all along. I hate when the story doesn't match.
I'll admit, I'm curious about what London will do but not enough to read the next one.

Sick Bastard is an unbelievable whirlwind!

I am ALWAYS looking for a read like this. Something that keeps you so involved you can’t function.
Dante is all hard male. Powerful and forceful, he always gets what he wants. And right now he want London. A sweet girl who is working has hard as possible to take over her grandfather’s business.

London is completely taken when she meets Dante. That is, until he opens his mouth. He looks to be the best man candy ever, but his stalking ways are enough to give her pause. But it’s just that, a pause.

The unbelievable chemistry in this book had me flipping through the pages. Should she want a man who is basically stalking her? Should she like it? The reply to those questions should be no. But her answer is FAR from no.

If you are looking for a little forbidden love, this is for you! There are twist and turns that will have you thinking, S***! But you will have to read it, cuz I’m not telling!

The good and the bad:
Bad: probably the worst editing I've ever seen! Anything that could be incorrect, was incorrect. In pretty much Every. Single. Sentence. Extremely distracting!
Bad: London. What was up with this chick? She was probably one of the most clueless book characters I've ever read! She was constantly questioning things Dante did, asking herself who he was etc but never took the initiative to find out anything. Even when she walked in on him while he had a gun to a man's head and was threatening to harm his wife! I wanted to reach into the book, tap her on the shoulder and tell her about this marvelous thing called Google.
Good: Dante! Even though his character was a liar and a crook, he was still pretty awesome. If it hadn't been for him I probably wouldn't have finished this book and wouldn't be waiting anxiously for #2!!!

****3.5 Stalker stars*****

I enjoyed reading this story. I was hooked from the first page as this story got me out of my reading slump. I must admit it was a little different. For as sassy as the heroine was in the story, she sure was naive and a little too trusting even though she knew the Hero was a big fat liar. I was a little put off by him in the beginning. But, he grew on me. The author did a good job in developing these terrible flawed characters and the scenes flowed together seamlessly. The only thing that prevented me from giving this story 4 stars was the editing. It was just not that great.....

This book just blew me away and what a SICK BASTARD Dante proved himself to be. Thing is I don't feel as if London was a victim so much as a 'willing' victim. She's a very smart woman and knew there was a lot going on that she wasn't being told about. Looks like the next book will be quite a battle. I just hope Dante doesn't go back to his slutty-ways. The love he has for London has to mean something in his very 'f**ked-up persona. He is a mess. I do think that London has to find out what her family is all about - stuff she's turned a blind-eye to whilst she pursued college degrees.

Excellent book. Thank you.

Let's just start with this....I HATE a cliffhanger. BUT this is the ONLY book that I've EVER been completely fine with one. This book cuts off at the perfect time and leaves the readers panting for more.

Both Dante and London are beautifully sick in they're own regards. The amount of anger, fear, lust, love, deceit will make most even-tempered reader alittle sick too.

Sick Bastard is BY FAR the best Jaci J has put out to date, and I love ALL of her books so that's saying a lot!

Bring on the Twisted Bitch! London needs her sick twisted revenge!

A SOLID 4.5 STARS!
THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE DUET, INCLUDING TWISTED BITCH.

THIS WAS A REALLY ENGAGING STORY. IT DEALS WITH TWO VOLATILE YET PASSIONATE CHARACTERS WITH A FAR FROM NORMAL MALE LEAD. THIS STORY WASN'T SICK OR TWISTED IN THE LITERAL SENSE. THEN AGAIN, IT'S A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE.

DANTE is a Capo who becomes obsessed with our heroine upon sight. Love or lust at first sight? You be the judge. While this story has mafia written all over it, unlike other organized crime stories, it actually takes a backseat against Dante and London's consuming love. You'll find Dante to be every kind of creep, stalker and pervert in the beginning. Honestly, no normal human would be flattered or feel safe even if a handsome as fuck man is stalking you or breaks into your home. Let's agree that every couple has their own way of 'rolling' and this is Dante + London's way. Frankly, it's almost flattering and wonderful how much effort, time and crazy things Dante does on behalf of protecting and getting London to be part of his life. While you may not agree with some of his decisions, at the end of the day, the only life that matters to him is London. And that's gives the story a sense of sweetness despite its depravity.

LONDON comes from a family that has ties to the mafia, NOT that she's aware. Working as a fancy waitress in a supposedly upscale bar near Wall Street is where she first meets the brooding and rude as fuck Dante. Sparks fly the moment they meet. Their attraction was a live wire. Despite not wanting to be attracted to Dante, she can't help herself, and even when he's being mean, rude or terribly impossible, London eventually falls for her stalker. This story is unconventional at best. I mean, a man like Dante doesn't need to stalk, beg or chase after a woman, but for London he's breaking all his rules. But, London doesn't truly know what's Dante's business or that he's a Capo. Will being with him break her heart? Will it endanger her life?

OVERALL I wouldn't call this intense. Passionate and romantic, yes...in a twisted way. I rather loved how deeply they loved, connected and fought against each other. It kept the story and their romance alive, because you'll never know what to expect. When they love, it's close to being hateful. When they fuck, it's a force of nature. And when they fight, it just keeps them coming back for more. It's a love-hate romance, and if you enjoy passion and angst, then you'll love this one. My only wish was that the love scenes could have used a more erotic touch to make it a 5 stars.

LOVE TWISTS!

This story was dark, mysterious, creepery and hot...sexy hot. London meets Dante when she is his server at the restaurant she works at. She does not know it yet but her life is about to get crazy. Dante actually stalks her for weeks until she finally agrees to dinner and then he woos her with his alpha sexiness and hot sex. However, London constantly catches him in lies and varying degrees of temper. There is a twist coming that she isn't expecting and she finds out who he really is.

Loved the mystery although it drove me crazy! I did have my suspicions but not the whole story. This ends in a cliffhanger but since they are both long since published, there is no wait. I recommend this book!
