Jayne Ann Krentz – A Coral Kiss
Amy and Jed were good friends and had come to rely on their friendship as something important in their lives. When Jed came back from a particularly bad assignment he calls Amy in the middle of the night to pick him up at the airport. From that point on their relationship starts changing, they start questioning things about one another, wondering if they could maybe have something together. Amy is dealing with insomnia and her own demons, while Jed is dealing with his own secrets he really isn't sure about sharing with Amy. When Amy's dad calls wanting to know when she is visiting them on the island again, will she face her demons, and where exactly will Jed fit in?
I really did enjoy this book even though it took me a little bit to get into. I had never read any books from this author before but look forward to reading more in the future.
Stella Cameron – French Quarter
Celina and Jack have never seen eye to eye before and now that they both have stumbled across their friend's death, they are going to have to learn how to get along. Celina's family makes it very difficult for her to be around Jack who just doesn't come from the “right” background. As the days pass you learn that their friends death is suspicious and there is so much more to the people around Jack and Celina than you would think.
I'd love to tell you more about this book but I think I'd give away so much about the plot and spoilers. I really enjoyed this book!
Mel Curtis – Blue Rules
Blue and Maddy meet under circumstances that Blue is just not happy about. Maddy makes Blue the subject of a reality show. During the process not only does Blue learn about how to make himself successful in his career but how to love someone other than himself.
I was so excited to learn this book was part of this set since I'd read the third book in this series already. I love the Rule siblings!
This boxed set has three contemporary romances by Jayne Ann Krentz, Stella Cameron and Mel Curtis. I've only read Blue Rules by Mel Curtis, but I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this set. Blue Rule has always loved his bachelor lifestyle until his ex-girlfriends band together to make his life a living hell by seeking revenge on him for his playboy ways. Maddy see's an opportunity to make money and maybe fame by producing a reality show focusing on Blue Rule and all of his ex-girlfriends, but with the everyday closeness of working with Blue she finds that there is more to Blue than most people in Hollywood ever see. Blue hopes he can make it through the reality show with some dignity left and the family business from going under. I was gifted a copy for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Where do these wonderful authors get their ideas? From a pacific island treasure hunt, a New Orleans murder, mafia and dirty politician to a Hollywood Batchelor being stalked by ex-lovers for revenge... These were truly magnificent stories. I would definitely recommend for a lazy summer day read.
