கடவுளைவிட மிஞ்சிய சக்தி இருப்பதென்றால் அது மனிதனின் மூடத்தனம் அதற்கு
எல்லைகளே கிடையாது.வரைமுறை எதுவும் பின்பற்றாது மற்றவர்களின் சொல்லுக்கேற்ற தன்னை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளும்.

இந்த மூடத்தனத்தைத் தனதாக்கி தேவைகளைப் பூர்த்திச் செய்பவன் கடவுளாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறான்,ஆனால் தேர்ந்த புத்திசாலிகளிடம் அகப்படும் வேளையில் அனைத்தும் தூளாகி காற்றில் கரைந்து போகிறது.
குட்டிச்சாத்தான் இவ்வுலகில் பிறக்கபோவதாகவும் அந்தக் குழந்தை அஷ்டாவக்கிரன் என்ற
பெயரில் வளரும் என்றும், அதன் உடலில் குட்டிசாத்தான் புகுந்து இந்த உலகை ஆளும் என்று உஸ்ஸோக் அமைப்பை சேர்ந்த மக்களை நம்ப வைக்கிறார் அக்குழுவின் தலைவர் மகாதிட்டர். அக்குழந்தை பிறப்பிற்கு முன்பு பல சமிக்கைகளை உலகம் சந்திக்கும் என்றவரின் வாக்கின்படி அனைத்தும் நடக்கிறது.

கேதார கௌரி செல்வந்தரின் மகளானவள், பெற்றவர்களை இழந்து தன் வீட்டிலே வளர்ந்த ராஜேஷ்க்கு மணமுடிக்க முடிவு செய்ய, விவசாயக் கல்லூரியில் படிப்பவள் ப்ராஜெக்ட் விஷயமாக ஆறுமாதம் கிருஷ்ணாபுரம் கிராமத்தில் தங்கி இருக்கும் நேரத்தில் கூடப் படிக்கும் சித்தார்த்தாவின் குணத்தால் ஈர்க்கப்படுகிறாள்.ஏற்கனவே போலியோவினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவள் தான் ராஜேஷ்க்கு ஏற்ற துணை இல்லை என்பதை மனதால் உணர்ந்தவள் அவலட்சணமான சித்தார்த்தா தான் தனக்கானவன் என்பதை உறுதிபடுத்தி அவனுடன் திருமணத்தையும் முடித்து கொள்கிறாள்.

பணத்திற்காகப் பழகிய ராஜேஷ் ,கேதார கௌரியின் முடிவால் அவளின் முன்னால் நல்லவனாக நடந்து கொண்டு உஸ்ஸோக் குழுவில் தன்னை ஈடுபடுத்திக் கொண்டு அவர்கள் சொல்வதை எல்லாம் கேட்டு தன் உள்ளே மறைத்து வைத்து இருந்த கொடூரமானவனை விடுவிக்கிறான்.

குட்டிசாத்தானாகிய அஷ்டாவக்கிரன் கேதார கௌரியின் வயிற்றில் பிறப்பான் என்பது உறுதியாகிறது.அதற்கு முன் ஏழு குழந்தைகள் பிண்ட உருவில் பிறந்து இறக்கும் என்று எழுதப்பட்டதை உண்மையாக்குகிறது கிருஷ்ணாபுரத்தில் நடக்கும் பிரசவங்கள்.அங்கே இருக்கும் டாக்டர் ரங்கபிரசாத்திற்கு எதனால் இப்படி ஜெனடிக் குறைபாடுள்ள குழந்தைகள் தொடர்ச்சியாகப் பிறக்கிறது என்ற கேள்வி எழுகிறது.பதில் தேடி அலையும் போது வெளிவரும் உண்மைகள் மொத்தமாக அவனை அதிர்ச்சிக்குள்ளாக்குகிறது.

செயற்கை முறையில் குழந்தை பிறப்பை உருவாக்கிய வித்யாசாகர் , அந்த முறையால் உருவாக்கிய தன் மகனின் பிறப்பு உண்மை பலவருடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு வெளிவருகிறது தன் விந்தின் மூலம் அவன் பிறக்கவில்லை என்று.அதனால் மனைவியைப் பறிகொடுத்து சாமியாராகி இமயமலை நோக்கி சென்றுவிடுகிறார்.அதற்கு மேல் அங்கே இருக்க முடியாமல் அவரின் மகன் டாக்டர் ரங்கபிரசாத் கிருஷ்ணாபுர கிராமத்திற்கு வந்துவிடுகிறார்.

அனைத்து பிரச்சனைக்குமே ஜெனடிக் குறைபாடு தான் என்ற காரணத்தைக் கண்டுபிடித்து அந்தத் துறை தலைவர் வம்சிகிருஷ்ணாவின் உதவியை நாடுகிறார் ரங்கபிரசாத்.

கேதார கௌரி பிரசவம் நெருங்கும் வேளையில் அந்த ஊருக்கும் வரும் அவதாரபாபா தன் சொற்களால் மக்களைக் கட்டி போடுகிறார்.மக்களும் அவரை நம்புகின்றனர்.

கேதார கௌரியின் அண்ணன் சிறுவயதில் வீட்டை விட்டு வெளியேறிய ரவி , ராஜேஷ் தந்தையைக் கொன்ற செய்தி அறிந்து வீட்டிற்கு வருகிறான்.மேஜிக் செய்பவனான ரவி உணர்ந்து கொள்கிறான் எங்கேயோ தவறு நடக்கிறது என்று.உண்மையைக் கண்டறியும் போது உஸ்ஸோக் குழுவில் மாட்டிக் கொள்கிறான்.

குட்டிசாத்தான் என்ற போர்வையில் மக்களின் மூளையை மழுங்கடித்து அவர்களை அந்தக் குழு பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறது என்பதை அறிந்தவன் அங்கேயே இருந்த பாமை வெடிக்கச் செய்து அந்தக் கூட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் அனைவரையும் அழித்துவிட்டு தன் தங்கையை காப்பாற்ற விரைகிறான்.

ரங்கபிரசாத் அனைத்தும் அறிவியலின் விளையாட்டு என்று கண்டுபிடித்ததால் அவரைக் கொல்வதற்கு முன்பு தாங்கள் யார் என்று அந்தக் குழு காட்டுகிறது. அவதாரபாபா உருவில் இருந்தது ஜெனடிக் இன்ஸ்டுயுஷன் தலைவர் வம்சிகிருஷ்ணா.மகாதிட்டராக அனைவரையும் ஆட்டிவைத்தவர் ரங்கபிரசாத்தின் தந்தை வித்யாசாகர்.

மாகாதிட்டரும், அவதாரபாபாவும் தங்களின் தேவைகளுக்காக ஒருவரை ஓருவர் ஏமாற்றியதை தெரிந்து தங்களுக்குள்ளே அடித்து இறந்துவிடுகின்றனர்.

அனைவரையும் பயத்தில் ஆட்கொள்ளச் செய்த கேதார கௌரியின் மகன் பூமியில் பிறக்கிறான்.அவனுக்கு “அஷ்டாவக்கிரன்” என்றே பெயரிடுகின்றனர்.

மூடநம்பிக்கையில் ஆரம்பித்து அறிவியலில் ஊடுருவி முற்றுபெறுகிறது.

Good book, very thrilling.
Lots of jargon about magics.. Some nice science concepts too..
Climax ( yes, the whole book is like a movie) is very good :)
The book has taken little more time to complete than estimated.

Not the best of Yandamoori's works. It feels like it is tied to Tulasi and Tulasi Dalam, but not much. The way the story was carried until 3/4th of the story was good. However, the way things have progress in the last quarter did not live up to the expectations set until then as there were loose tie-ups, predictable twists (most of them) and weak ending to strong characters built until then. Not a must read from Yandamoori's kitty.

This book is the last of dark magic trilogy from Yandamoori. But this book doesn't live upto the expectations of the previous books.

The story develops at a good pace. But after 60% it just goes in all directions with lots of twists. These can be handled well.

Also all the characters build until then are just given no closure. Character building is best in Yandamoori's books. But in this book it becomes flawed.

But still this book is one time readable with lots of twists and science facts.

Yandamoori again at his best

When I began to read this novel, I expected it to be a light thriller read. But, yet, from the beginning to end, the story is gripping. A sinister build up for the beginning of a fatal distopian world holds your imagination and attention. Right from page 1 there is the battle between science and superstition. But in the end what wins is Compassion, Values, Humanity and above all Love.

In Kedaragauri you will find innocence personified into pure composure. In Siddhartha you will find the Compassion Protector. In Rakesh the pervert, In Vamsi Krishna the criminal mastermind, In Dr. Rangaprasad the genius scientific thinker, in Ravi aka White Shadow the risk taker, and the drama unfolds in the interplay of all these human emotions. At the heart of all this is the future of humanity at stake. The birth of Ashtaavakra. The very incarnation of the Devil himself.

Yandamoori uses very well, what can be hidden in a written text, viz., the absence of visual. When we see a certain character, we can't guess it's the same character in another scene. This gives raise to twists and turns that are impossible to guess. Ranjita knows the Real Avatar Baba, but we keep guessing. Mahadashta is seen throughout as the mastermind criminal behind the USSOC gang, but he turns out to be somebody else.

Through the drama are introduced to us, the frontiers of genetics. The difficulty of having data and connecting the dots through cold reasoning and the kind of dedication it commands, is amazing. At the same time we are introduced to the criminal world that uses the cutting edge for their own greed. In the storms created by the friction between Scientific reasoning and Greedy Criminal intentions, Siddhartha and Kedaragauri are entangled and seem like puppets in the hands of God Players. Yet, in their simple minds they nurture a hope for humanity that shapes their personas and makes them stand out. In the end, they do give birth to a new definition of Ashtaavakra, their child, that will grow beyond of the meaning of his name and give a new meaning to his name through his persona.
