Vipers Den #3

Vipers Den: Part Three Tay & Nate

Rate this book
More than anything Taylor Jane Seymour wants a baby. The problem is, Tay is very much single. And the only man she would ever consider making that kind of a commitment to is Nate. But Tay is under the impression she isn't Nate's type. So she writes off the idea of a relationship with him before she even gave the thought time to grow.

When Nate overhears Tay telling the girls she's considering getting a sperm donor, he just about looses it. The thought of Tay with another mans baby growing inside her beautiful body drives a knife deep into his heart and evokes emotions he'd never felt before. He realises it's time to break his number one rule and go after the woman he's been lusting after since he started working at the Den.

Warning- contains hilarious interactions between two consenting adults trying to make a baby without actually having sex...

Contains language and adult situations, recommended for readers over 18 years of age.

Fun, Fun read! I love JB Heller's style of writing. Her characters in this series are quirky and out of the ordinary which makes this series so much fun to read. Tay and Nate have their own special story. Don't miss it! :D

Favorite Quotes:

Let me tell you, hell hath no fury like a bunch of raggy women with scissors in their hands and hot wax at their disposal.

You’re my rockabilly princess, I refuse to lose you.

Where’d you go just now? You were right off with the fairies. I tried getting your attention but you were on another planet.

I meant every word I said, Tay, you’re mine, and I’m not letting you go.

My Review:

I adore J.B. Heller and want to read everything she even thinks about writing. She is an instant one-click author for me. I have read and enjoyed the first two installments of Viper’s Den and am eager to peruse any and all future stories this author cares to scribble. Her writing is entertaining, lively, and saucy. I love her varied, complicated, and interesting characters, and want good things for them, I just wish they were real so they could work their magic on my hair and ghastly nails.

Whoooo! Talk about moving too fast. I feel like I was the only one that needed to take a step back and breathe a second in this one! Tay and Nate have some serious unrequited love issues and it shows within the first few pages. Taylor Jane is wonderful and sassy and just all too damn happy about life until her biological clock starts ticking. THEN BOOM!

I loved these two because of just how easy Nate takes Tay in stride but it was like CHERNOBYL! All at once and well I just wished I had gotten a bit longer out of this one too. Just a little bit. I WANT MORE NOW! Sweet story though no lie I had stop for a moment and just squeal in happiness for all of them because there was such a Happy moment that I was overwhelmed for them all for a moment.

This is another sweet sexy story from Vipers Den. we are getting to know these characters one book at a time. It was a great fun, sexy read that makes you laugh and cry.

Tay and Nate are a great couple who find themselves where they want to be even though it is under complicated circumstances.

The gang at Vipers Den are a strong group of friends and hope there are many more books to come.

I will read anything JB Heller writes as they are great books that capture you from the moment they start and you don't want them to finish.

Such a sweet friends to lovers story.
Tay desperately wants a baby and will do anything to get one and would love Nate to be the father.
Nate isn't the relationship type. But when he overhears Tay considering a sperm donor, he finds himself reconsidering.
If you want a short story with laugh out loud moments, killer shoes and just the right amount of angst, then this is the book for you.

Great read

I enjoyed the Vipers Den series but at the end there was an excerpt from Tempi and Taj’s book. I can’t locate that book anywhere which doesn’t make sense since Tay and Nate’s story was published in 2015. The third book in the Worth the Risk series (Alec’s story) was supposed to be out in 2020. Has this author quit writing or taken a long sabbatical?

I have really enjoyed this series of hot short stories. Tay and Kate are going to be great parents. I loved how Nate stepped right up for Tay. This has been a great series.

Another good book

Really liked how this story flows for the couple. Also like that everyone worked together but felt like a family. These stories kind of put proof, you can pick your friends and have them as family. :)

A fun read. Short and sweet. Yay wants a baby almost, if not more than she wants Nate, her coworker that’s she’s been lusting after for years. What she doesn’t realize is that Nate wants her too. A few laughs and some sweetness occur while the each begin to fall.

Delightfully fun and beautifully heartfelt, Viper’s Den Part 3 is a deeply touching tale of the power and beauty of love, family, and friends. This book hits all of the areas of life that makes and molds us into who we are and want to be. Every step of this journey filled my heart a little more and made me smile a little bigger. I really hated to see it end because I fell in love with the mesmerizing storyline and the amazing characters.

Taylor has loved her co-worker Nate from afar ever since he started working at her salon. He never returned her attention as more than just a friend, so she was happy for what little she was able to have. Not willing to sacrifice their valued friendship, she quietly loves him and pushes through each day. When her desire for a baby becomes too great, she hatches a plan that she hopes doesn’t go up in flames. Now, she just needs to put her plan into action. Nate knows he doesn’t deserve a woman like Taylor who is beautiful both on the inside and the outside, so he keeps his distance and is thankful for the friendship she offers him. However, when she reveals his plan to him, he finds himself even more excited about it than her. Fighting his fears and deciding to take this daredevil plunge, he takes the next steps into what he finds he wants more than anything no matter the risk involved. When his happiness spreads to his family, his deepest dreams are finally realized, and he knows without a doubt that he finally made the right choice with his life.

Watching Taylor and Nate figure out what they wanted the most and navigate this new level of their relationship was absolutely breathtaking. He was so patient and understanding with Taylor as she unveiled her deepest dreams to him, and he found himself wanting the very same things. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for her, and she felt like she was dreaming when he finally became a permanent part of her life like she always wanted. They both knew just how special the other was, and how they didn’t want to live another day without the other in their life. They are such a beautiful couple who cared so deeply for their friends and family that I hated to see their story end.

JB Heller knows how to create a beautifully captivating story that pulls your heart and your head into the story without any hesitation. You are all in as you read through the raw and honest journey of her wonderful characters. Losing yourself is a given, but what you get in return is just as incredible. Don’t miss out on what looks to be a fun and enchanting series!

I love how each novella is drenched in unashamed personality and fun! The third novella in the Vipers Den series focuses on Tay and Nate, co-workers and friends. This novella has so much going on, but once again we see that JB Heller has a skill- one where she takes big themes and ideas and translates them into a shorter story without leaving out a thing. There is still feeling, relevance, and depth; yet her talent allows her to communicate those things with few words meant to evoke a reaction.

This story was hilarious! I mean Tay and Nate are two characters who have tons of personality (like all the Vipers Den people) and their story was different. These two co-workers have a friendship and mutual attraction to build on which adds a certain flair to the story. When the attraction is no longer denied between these two, it is full steam ahead and their story comes alive with passion and hilarity. I loved watching them fall in love and go somewhat backwards in their story. They go baby before all else and then the rest follows after.

I loved getting to know these two in this story. I loved reading about Tay’s deep longing for a child and her antics to have one. I loved her planning and her mothering. I loved her personality and style. Nate, the newly reformed man-whore, has an aura all his own. He is witty, devastatingly handsome, and sexy. When you put two such characters together, you see so much life that leaps off the pages.

I loved how JB Heller shows the path to parenthood and pregnancy. I loved seeing Tay and Nate outside of Vipers Den and diving more into who they were outside of work. This story also throws in a few surprises about the other characters from the first two novellas, surprises I was EXCTATIC to read about! And the ending- AH! I cannot wait for more. JB has proven herself in my book and I cannot wait to see what she has in story for the rest of the Vipers Den crew!

Taylor Jane Seymour, 33, is a stylist at the Viper’s Den. Nate Summers is a nail technician there. They’ve both had the hots for each other for years but neither has stepped up to the plate. Till now.

Now being Tay’s decision to have a baby on her own. That revelation propels a streak of possessiveness in Nate that he’s never felt before with a woman, and he’s ready to volunteer for the sperm donor job.

“’I don’t want another man’s baby growing inside your beautiful body, I don’t want another man touching you full stop…’”

I thought Tay and Nate had a lot of initial chemistry. More so than Pixie and Jake in the previous one. Things seemed to be really heating up.

“’You sure I can’t just slip it in right now? I can feel how wet you are for me, Tay, you’re so wet it’s seeping through your underwear.’”

But that’s where the budding romance and heat factor took a turn. Tay was so set on her “plan.” I honestly felt her “method” took away from the potential steam factor. I really wanted to see her lead more with her heart and emotions instead of trying to making it so “clinical.” There’s was a great build-up that fizzled out and honestly made me lose interest in the story. And while these are novellas, the ending felt a bit abrupt, the premise of the story not seen the whole way through. I hope we get more glimpses of Tay and Nate in future books, but I really felt this one should have carried them through to term.

Tay and Nate’s story

Tay has had a crush on Nate for 2 years she is in love but doesn't think she's his "type"
Nate has a crush on Tay has for 2 years but he has a rule..... Never sleep with someone you work with......

Tay wants a baby she is desperate for one she has been for years but she's single so she decides maybe a sperms donor is the way to go and raise the baby as a single mum.....
Her time clock is ticking and she thinks she's getting old and needs to fall pregnant now.
Nate hears about Tay considering using a sperm donor, he can't handle it he doesn't like the idea of someone else touching Tay let alone having someone Else's baby growing inside her.
He needs to take action.

Will Tay accept Nate's offer?

Will Nate accept Tay's offer?

Do they get the end result after 2 turkey blasts?

That you will have to read to find out!!
Great short read love the books in these series. For a short read they are jam packed!!

This was another cute book in the Vipers Den series. Tay has had a crush on Nate since the day he started working with her. Afraid of rejection, she's pushed her feelings aside and settled for being his friend. But now she wants a baby and Nate is the only man she could imagine being the father. She decides to ask him if he'll agree to be the donor.

Nate has had feelings for Tay since he started working at the Den. He has a rule not to date coworkers so he's never pursued her. When he overheard Tay telling the girls she's going to get a sperm donor, he sees red. The thought of her having another man's child in her belly makes him feel things he never thought he'd feel. He decides it's time to come clean and tell her how he feels. He wants to be more than just a donor.

I thought this was a really quick sweet story. It was told from dual POVs and sets up the next book in the series about Taj and Tempi.

This was 3.5 Stars for me.

Vipers Den is definitely one of my favorite series. Each book can be read as a standalone but the characters make appearances in each book. I have fallen in love with the crew that works at the den. They are a lively bunch.

This third book is about Tay and Nate. Their relationship starts out very unconventional but in the end it is a sweet love story with a HEA!

The characters are amazing! I loved getting to know more about both Tay and Nate. They both have their own struggles but are very strong despite them. Tay is a little bit of a spitfire and isn't afraid to go after what she wants. Nate has always been a little bit of a player, I never thought he'd settle down. I loved seeing his sensitive side.

At the end, there is a little snippet of Vipers Den Part Four: Tempi and Taj...so now I'm not so patiently waiting for it to release!
