“It’s a naughty daydream come true.”
On a girl’s night out, Alice decided to make new friends and have fun. And see where this fun gets her.
I love how the author was very keen on details, and somehow not coming up to too much information. This is my first book of the author and well, a way to go to pop a cherry!
The story is actually slow paced and I like the concept and idea of the Dark Alley. I have read so many books about private clubs and somehow, it becomes a cliché I tried to avoid it because I feel like there’s nothing new. But with this book, it’s the mystery that pulls me in. It makes me want and yearn and long for a Dark Alley to exist somewhere in my place. To somehow be invited to this exclusive club.
Alice’s first visit to 8.5 Elm Street was somehow like an adventure venturing in a rabbit hole. And I myself, was curious of what’s going to wait there. I wasn’t even overwhelm of the details and everything that might happen, like Alice, who is visiting the place for the first time.
“Please, let me know what you are interested in today and I’ll have you set up with the right candidate.”
It was like taking an order in a restaurant and serving it and I was like, can you take my fantasy also and make it come true?
That was cute and actually, it was one of my favorite part. My second favorite part? The alley on the second on the right. Yes, because truly, that was sensual, and sexy and oh so hot. A one night stand that is safe and no awkward morning after? Yes, please.
And yes, amidst all that, I am curious of the man who invited Alice. Somehow, without his presence known, I felt him and I want to know and makes me wait and long for the next installment of this book.

This was a really great start to a new novella series. And it being a novella series, makes it kinda short :( But it was really great.
We have Alice - who's in her thirties, and just broke up with her boring boyfriend of four years. Her circle of girlfriends are all married with kids already, and now her best friend Bianca is heading that way too..... Alice feels all alone and a bit sorry for herself...
That's when she meets this mysterious stranger in a bar...they don't talk much, but she's intrigued...and a bit later she gets an invitation to an even more mysterious club: DARK ALLEY ... and that's literally what this is - a dark alley - where club members go to have anonymous sex. That's just what Alice was looking for at this moment in her life....
This series follows Alice through all her Dark Alley adventures...
will there be a happy end.... maybe with that first mysterious stranger??? Who knows - but it's sure fun to read until we get to the end ☺
I really enjoyed the story - it was a really quick and sexy read... can't wait to see what will happen to Alice next ☺

I love the cover of this book. If D.S. Wrights had not offered me this ARC and I was not already familiar with her work, the book cover alone would have piqued my interest to take a look as it's sexy, dark, and mysterious- all things I like which ultimately would lead me to purchase.
Dark Alley Stranger is a "naughty daydream come true" for main character Alice when she receives a verbal invite and a business card inviting her to the private Dark Alley club during a night out with friends. What's the Dark Alley? It’s a place where sexual fantasies come true, sexual partners are anonymous, and the use of code names and safe words are a must. It's a place where inhibitions are low, desires are high, and you don't have to worry about judgments.
This is a quick five chapter novella that left me wanting more. I loved the first encounter Alice had at the Dark Alley with the anonymous stranger and wonder if he is someone from Alice's past or someone she recently met. I felt so tortured by the end all I kept doing was scrolling the pages back and forth on my Kindle like more pages were magically going to appear. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the next segment of Alice's adventure.
If you're into sexy reads with an unapologetic heroine who knows what she likes sexually, then this read is for you. Dark Alley is a good start to a serial and gets 4 erotic stars for keeping me interested in a character willing to push her sexual boundaries with guts and without preamble.

Dark Alley Stranger is something I've never read before. It starts off with our main character Alice being stuck with her old friends - who now have been married and have children. Alice doesn't want that, not yet. She loves the freedom that she has.
Alice also did have a boyfriend, but things weren't exciting for them and the woman was looking for an adventure. One night when she is out with her friends, and her best friend, she got exactly what she wanted.
An invitation. A path to something exciting.
I won't tell much what happens further because I am afraid that I might end up giving spoilers.

The plot and storyline are unique in itself. I have never come across a similar story, so Dark Alley Stranger does interest me. It is intriguing and with every page you turn,it just makes you want to read further. You want to know what Alice will do next and what her decisions in the story will be.
This book will keep the readers turning pages until its the end. I got to read it while the author was still writing. When I came to the end, I literally screamed at my tablet because it was a major cliffhanger. I just want to pull my hair out. When I spoke to D.S.Wrights, she said that there are a couple of more pages to the end.
My hopes were lifted only to be sealed with another cliffhanger. I think I am going to stick to D.S.Wrights' leg until the series is over because this is going to be a really long wait. And I already feel like a sad panda.
While the copy was being handed to me, Dee told me that it is still unedited and will go into editing later. But even with her telling me that, I think the whole language, grammar, formation of sentences was really good. The way she describes the scenes, the emotions, its really brilliant. You might think it is subtle, but when you are into the book, it will hit you with strong emotions. *wink*
I would recommend this book to everyone because of its uniqueness, the way this story has been pitched to the readers. And it is not too long of a reader. You can always pick up this book while you are at the beach, or snuggling up near the fireplace. :D

Now reading a novella by D.S. Wrights might just have changed my mind.
Dark Alley Stranger is the first installment of a novella series and it's frigging good. It's totally realistic and I found myself nibbling at my nails at one chapter and fanning at the next.
It's a quick and easy read, which doesn't force you to read the next installment, you just absolutely want to.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book.
D.S Wrights is on my 'must read' list. Everyone has authors and these lists, even if it's consciously, the kind of authors that you know without a doubt can only write fantastic books.
When I pick up a D.S Wrights book, I just know I'm in for a brilliant ride. She writes in a way so unique and gripping, you can't help but become part of the story and characters.
This book was, of course, no exception! It says a lot about an author when they, even in a short story, can create such a page-turner.
I was completely hooked right from the beginning, and I'm beyond excited for more in this series!
If you love an erotic book that isn't like all the others, this is one for you! Totally different but absolutely incredible. I highly recommend it!

I received a copy of this short story in exchange for a honest review.
This short story was a wonderful surprise. The story starts out with an innocent girls night out. The main character soon finds out that her best friend just found out she is pregnant leaving her to be the only single childless friend in the group. The MC starts drinking and flirting with several males resulting in her receiving a special invitation only card to a sex club. The MC decides to see more about the club and finds herself in sexual heaven with no clue who sent her the invitation.
By the time I ended the book I was hooked on the main character and I absolutely loved the creative scenery within the alley. I can't wait to read more!!! My only complaint is the short page count of the story.

This is the first of a series by D.S. Wrights. It's a rather short novella, but it holds a lot of promise of things to come.
Imagine a secret club where you can have safe anonymous sex with complete strangers in a dark alley. Would you join such a club? Well, Alice has just received a mysterious invitation to the Dark Alley club.
Alice is recently single, and a bit jaded about men. She has decided that she does not need a regular relationship, but she still has normal urges, and her BOB is not really doing the trick anymore.
Taking a chance she decides to see what this mysterious club is all about. She does not end up regretting it, but is she getting in too deep with something she may not fully understand? I guess we'll have to wait for the next installment to find out.
This is a quick easy read, but well worth it if you are looking for an erotic fantasy story, but not if you are looking for a romance. Although there is a tease that something more may happen later on.
I was intrigued by the premise and see a lot of potential in it. I'm looking forward to seeing where the author takes the story. I liked Alice and want her to be happy, and so far she seems quite happy.
I would encourage you to kick off your shoes and just lean back and enjoy the ride as you travel down the rabbit hole with Alice. Who knows what you may find along the way?

This book took me kind of by surprise... I wasn't expecting a "club" with no strings attached. I've read several D.S. books and they just keep me on my toes!! From the backstory I was expecting a silly girl going out again and getting a hook up. What I got was a mystery of epic proportions!! I really wish I got invited to the "Dark Alley" because I could really use of that right now..... Now I have to wait to see if the invitee is found out in the next book or if I have to wait even longer!

This is an awesome concept for a storyline, and I must say I really enjoyed this novella. It defiantly will get you curious to see what happens next to Alice. It's got a lot of potential to be a great series, and I hope D.S Wright continues with the story! I would highly recommend to anyone who loves a good erotic read. It's short and easy to read, great for anyone to take with them by the pool or beach this summer!

I'm honored to receive the ARS of this book by D.S and known her work for a first time. Now I'm a big fan of her work!
Alice (without the rabbit hole) is the only single at the company, now that all of her friends got married and become mommies. In her thirties, she dumped her four year relationship boyfriend because she couldn't handle their perfect, simple routine anymore. She needed adverture, she needed something to blast her desires, physically and mentally.
When Alice's friend arrange a night out at a brand new club with all mommies, she wanted to call out but she couldn't deny them for ever, nor to not have fun anymore. And after that night, she couldn't deny her desires either; and the Dark Alley will be the perfect path to complete these desires. No strings attached!
A very well-written dark story, page turner I must say, made me not want to stop reading it. The story is interesting, like eyes wide closed movie, but with hotter and captivating scenes. I believe that the story isn't a love story but something else, something that intent to make us fell the lust and to be wanted and desirable and kinky. Be in the world of fantasies with a stranger in a Dark Alley!
I totally enjoy reading it, at the late hours of night, and it was so easy to be in her shoe because it was written every detail, is possible be, about the sex scenes and her feelings about them! So hot stuff! I absolutely recomment it!

I was asked to do a review, though I chose to download it through KU. Is that the same as receiving an ARC? I'm not sure. Regardless, I read it, and it was short and fast. I realize it was an introduction to a novella series, though I only know this by reading other reviews. At the time, I didn't know, and how could I? There's no indication on the title or at the end that this will be continued... It's a pet peeve of mine. Please let me know in advance if this is a book 1 of many. Thanks. Now, on to the story.
Alice is a bit off putting in that she is kind of a selfish brat. The dark alley club is an interesting premise and it does get hot. She has a couple of interludes that get seriously spicy and then

Alice is unhappy, she has just dumped her boyfriend because he is boring, and is ready rejoin the single life. That is not what makes her unhappy tho. She is unhappy because all of her friends have found their mates and are either married or soon to be and she has no one to go clubbing with. Yes, she comes off as a bit of a selfish bitch at first. Her inner dialog just made me want to slap her upside her head once or twice. ;) Makes for an interesting character.. Things are looking up when she is given an invitation to a mysterious secret "club". She is intrigued and so she goes and what a place this is.. Right up her "alley", so to speak. Installment 1(this book) is very attention getting. I am not one to want to read at a serial level as waiting for the next book drives me nuts. I normally wait for the series to be finished and pick it up as a boxed set.
However, as I am a huge fan of DS Wrights, I fully intend to read every one of her books. AND No, she didn't pay me to say that. :)

This has to be a prologue to a longer novel or a series that is just beginning, because it is too good to stop there. Although not a cliffy, definitely just the beginning; I was so invested in the 100 pages or so of this book by the end I was dreading the page turner, because I didn’t want it to end. It was full of suspense and lust, and you could feel a love story beginning in there too. I want to know more about King of Diamonds, who is he, and what is his story? I expected Alice to choose Wonderland as her name, with all the references to the rabbit hole, but Belladonna gives you a little more insight into her character I think. I CAN NOT WAIT to see where this series goes. If the series is anything like the beginning it is going to be one hell of a ride! ONE CLICK MUST!

I received an ARC for an honest review.
I can say that this is a story I have been waiting to come out, and I was not disappointed. D S Wrights has done it again. I have not read any of her books that I haven't loved.
So this story opens a woman up to the possibility of getting what she wants with out the worry of following the pack and becoming the good wife and mother that is expected. Alice is our main character and she is out with friends when she is given an invite to a club know as dark alley. There is no real clue who has invited her or what might happen oh but she and everyone that reads this knows what they hope it is. This is not a story of a young dumb girl that takes risks just for the heck of it. Alice is a smart women that even though there is risk in what she is doing she had the sense to take steps to protect herself.
Although this was a very quick read there was some of everything you could hope for in a novella. We went from dread to fun to holy cow to what the heck I need more and I sure as h*** need to know who the stranger "king of diamonds" in the alley is. So to say that I need the next installment like yesterday is an understatement. I hope the helps someone that is undecided on this book but just remember this is my opinion and I loved it.

This is not a story of a young dumb girl that takes risks just for the heck of it. Alice is a smart women that even though there is risk in what she is doing she had the sense to take steps to protect herself.
Although this was a very quick read there was some of everything you could hope for in a novella. We went from dread to fun to holy cow to what the heck I need more and I sure as h*** need to know who the stranger "king of diamonds" in the alley is. So to say that I need the next installment like yesterday is an understatement. I hope the helps someone that is undecided on this book but just remember this is my opinion and I loved it.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review
Dark Alley Stranger is the first installment of a novella series; this is different than a normal book series. To be honest, I'm not a fan of breaking up one story into installments. When I sit down to read a story I either want to finish it or I want it to be big and meaty enough to be broken up into a series….not cut off right in the middle of a scene just so you have to get the next one.
That being said….this is a GOOD story! The synopsis had me intrigued, this story line is seriously right up my alley of fantasy reads. Ms. Wright is a great story teller because I was sucked in and immediately saw myself in the heroine’s shoes. I simultaneously want to live vicariously through Alice and I can relate to my personal friends feeling betrayed by a marriage/child entering into the friends circle. This is not a romantic happily ever after type of read. You will not feel satisfied and fulfilled on the last page. Reading the last sentence will have you bug eyed and pushing the button on your e-reader in hopes that more pages will magically appear.
Apart from my personal opinion about book installments and the few grammatical errors this story captured my attention and I devoured it in one sitting.
Would you accept an invitation to have your fantasy played out in a dark alley…I know I would!

Quite an interesting tale.
A mystery that is thrilling with erotic touch.
In the start of this book, we meet the lead Alice in a dance club, who appear like a selfish bitch (at least to me) who can't handle the fact that her best friend was soon to be married and was on the marry way of motherhood. But as we read along we got to know that its not the selfishness but the fear of loneliness that made her seem like an annoying bitch. And this is the same fear and the urge to have adventure that has brought her to the threshold of the dark alley which send her in the world of erotic pleasure and the adventure she craved for with a dark alley stranger.
There is much more to the story and to know that you have to read it. I can't tell you all, now can I?
Overall the book was nice, the only shortcomings were its being short with just 18K words and some typos and minor mistakes which were understandable as I got an ARC to read and review.
I would suggest this book to 18+ readers,who love reading Erotica and has a thing for mystery. This is the perfect combo you need. And I can't wait for the next book in the series.

This is the third book I've read by D.S. wrights and I have to admit that this one is now my favorite of her books. Why? Because the story was good right from the start.
Alice was invited to the Dark Alley sex club. She didn't have a clue as to who wanted her there and why? It didn't take Alice long to learn that what she did know, was that one of her Dark Ally Stranger's had a tongue, fingers, and cock that made magic happen whenever it came in contact with her body.
This is a story with a good plot. It's balanced perfectly between sex, plot and a touch of drama. I loved the feel of the environment which the bar and the club was written in. Everything seemed real as if I was watching scenes unfold.
Although I was warned and made aware of this book being a serial. I did not expect it to end so abruptly. It was just getting really good when BAM! It ended. I would love to get the rest of the series once it's complete.
So far, so good.

I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this book. It's the first book that I've gotten to read by DS Wrights and I'm so glad I did. As a matter of fact at the back of the book is a blurb about The Beast and Me, and after reading this I couldn't wait to ice click it. This short is an erotic fantasy come true. If you like your erotica to have a unique plot, and an exciting unsuspected turn of the genre then this book is definitely for you. I can't wait to read more from this author who has quickly made it onto my go to list.

This is a great book. You can really feel like you are there with the main character as she explore that kind of world and I must admit I felt nervous for her! It is different from the other books I have read because of the unknown and can be quite awkward and strange but the author made it thrilling and pretty hot. It is a short book and after reading the ending, I have the urge to read more about what will happens next. I have to know!

She keeps an open mind and hopes for a fun evening. Unexpectedly, she's presented with an interesting invitation and she hesitantly decides to accept. And that's when things get HOT.

Spoiler Ahead This was book 1 in the "Dark Alley" series. Alice is newly single and doesn't think she needs a man all her friends are married with kids. Alice goes out on a girls night out so she could have some fun. Alice has received a mysterious invitation to the Dark Alley club. Taking a chance she decides to see what this mysterious club is all about. Alice likes what she sees and does in the club. This was a short dark kinky read that I liked. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading book two in this series.
