All Ella wants is to be recognized for her glass work. But in a world where women are forbidden from holding trades, her only chance of achieving her dreams is by hiding her identity. Until the day the Prince himself notices her craftsmanship—and her deception—and decides he must have her.
Ripped from her world of fire and glass and thrust into one of powder and silk, Ella is forced to navigate the world as a woman for the first time, where every privilege comes with a price. When the Prince demands she become his mistress, threatening imprisonment if she refuses, Ella must decide what she is willing to sacrifice to survive. After all, one can only run so far in glass slippers.
With her future hanging in the balance, Ella remembers that even the toughest steel becomes malleable with enough heat—so long as she can control the flames without being consumed by them.

Shelby K. Morrison believes fiction should be an escape and any great escape involves a world of wonder, characters you wish you knew, and good food. She can usually be found in three places; her office, the couch or....well just those two unless an overcast day calls her out of doors. She has a particular weakness for animals, Studio Ghibli movies, traveling, and Flamin' Hot Cheetos (resulting in a frequently stained keyboard). She is not opposed to tokens of appreciation, particularly edible ones. But if you really want to make her smile, drop her a line!
Going into Glass Slipper by Shelby K. Morris, I didn’t know what to expect. This feminist erotic book was one I won’t soon forget. It is heavy on the spice, and the abuse themes are strong major trigger warning for readers who are easily triggered. Imagine having to pretend to be someone you aren’t just to do what you love. Ella is truly unbreakable, and a chance encounter with the King changes her life completely. This book does not skimp on female objectivity, embracing its bold and raw themes. While there were a few writing errors along the way, it was still well worth the read. I specifically recommend this to readers who enjoy dark, spicy erotica.
Tropes: Cinderella Retelling • Secret Identity • High Spice / Dark Erotica • Unbreakable Heroine Trigger Warning: Severe abuse themes and dark content. Proceed with caution.

Spicy, erotic twist on Cinderella… Let me take a cold shower and catch my breath! I enjoyed the creative spin on the classic tale. Cinderella is known for glass slippers, step sisters and a fairy godmother of sorts. It’s all here in a unique way that gave me the nostalgia from my childhood with some extra spice from my womanhood. Well done! Check your triggers before reading.
