Rate this book
She’s a puppy. She’s a girl. And she’s going to evolve.

Waking up one day in a litter of puppies, her human life a fading memory, she quickly falls into the flow of things.

Playing and hunting with her pack, taking naps at all hours of the day, and most importantly, leveling up and evolving!

With five brothers and sisters who all have their own unique powers, a protective Dog Mom and Cerberus Dad with three heads, she was sure nothing could ever go wrong in her new life.

That is, until human hunters show up and attack her family and kidnap her brothers and sisters.

Now she’s by herself in a world that is so much harsher to face alone. But she won’t give up. She’ll continue to level and evolve, and become powerful enough to take revenge on those damned humans and get her family back!

Puppy power

The story is great. The characters are really good overall great book and I can’t wait until the next in the series. There are a few issues first in the evolutionary path. Without spoiling anything, let’s just say it’s confusing The the bigger problem is combat itself. Too many battles sound the same. I won’t spoil what they sound like but you hear the same phrases the same attack patterns. I get that the creature we are following is limited and what it can do. It makes sense but these battle patterns they repeated too often. At times I felt the author might’ve been better served by simply reducing the number of fights. No, there is room to grow here you see it you see how things can change you see where the potential is so this book is better than a 4.0 and you will enjoy it. I just can’t wait to get to the next book in the series.

To any author that writes a book that I really enjoy I have to leave a message for them. First understand I enjoyed this book. I thought it was a bit lengthy, but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed seeing the puppies grow and show affection towards each other. I enjoyed seeing what happened with the other puppies. I have to admit Jessica‘s story was very uninteresting, but it grew on me initially I said oh can I just skip this part of the book but by the time she had bonded with her companion. I was happy to read her story. I did have issue with the MC. The fight scenes always seem to be the same roughly crippling bite snap Bone kill enemy. I felt that that was repeated time and time and time again too often. to me. I would’ve also preferred to see Lily do a little bit more to see her grow a little bit more. Also, Grivk oh my goodness why no evolution at the end. That seemed like a missed opportunity. Really a big opportunity that wasn’t captured. Overall I enjoyed the book. Can’t wait for the next in the series. I’m gonna follow.

Fun read

Fun read from a different (non human) perspective. Unfortunately the point of view changes were annoying. It’s a risky authorial choice as too often it means breaking the reader out of their immersion every couple of chapters. This book was NOT one of the super rare instances where those breaks were a seamless part of the flow.

Good

What is it like to live as a Hellhound? Are predators evil simply because they eat meat? You'll find answers to these questions, along with plenty of exciting adventures, in this book. I really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

Ultimately, pretty good and a fun read. Knocking half a star off because I don't care for Jessica lol.

First impressions, it seems like a decent enough "reincarnated as an evolving monster" setup but I gotta say I'm a little sick of the "I'm just a gorl uwu!" style main character. The samey-ness between this character and several other books I've read, especially published under this label, is sus.
