Well...I liked Henry's book, just not as much as I liked Hunters.

I felt that there was too much thinking and too little talking. The main characters spend way too much time in their own heads...

Also the ending felt a bit rushed and not complete. There are too many questions unanswered. I would have liked to see some of the bandmembers reactions and some more of their future.

I think the next book (if there is gonna be one), will be about another couple, so I feel like this couple didn't get any closure and neither did I.

3 stars from me

First of all i have to say i a gutted this series has came to end as i have enjoyed reading this series.

In this final instalment of its Henry Richardson's (the big man) story. Just to be careful not to call him a cuddly bear.....

As we know from the previous books the big man has remained on the sidelines. He is content to hide behind his trademark shades and watch as his adopted family thrive on the stage. The big man's presence is always known whether its to restore harmony when things get messy or be the protector of the boys of Shaft and the people involved in the band,

Henry is older, more rugged, greying slightly alpha male. He has his heart broken twice and this is one of the reasons why he prefers to stay on the sidelines whilst the band do their thing.

When the live in nanny for Shaft walks away just before the band are heading on a much needed holiday the replacement is sent. The replacement is nothing like Big Man expected.

Rae Sloan is sassy and independent. She loves kids; working at the daycare centre inside Ironsound Records was her dream job until she was offered something more. Rae isnt the slightest bit fazed by her new employers.

Its not long before the big man and Rae collide as Rae is a very fiery and independent character. Rae manages to do something that nobody has been able to do for a long time and that is see the real Henry Richardson the man behind the shades.

I don't want to say to much more in i give to much away. But i will say if you love your rock star books go and buy this set now.

Thank you to Cat Mason for giving me the opportunity to read and review this series for you i have them all in my basket to buy once my husband gets paid :-)

Strong and protective, Henry has always been there for the band. He has never wanted to be in the line light, but he is loyal to those that need him. Like some of the other people we have met in this series, he has a dark past. When he meets Rae, he tries his hardest to keep it to himself. They are both there to do a job, not fall in love. But sometimes these things can’t be avoided. Rae is hired to teach the kids on the tour. She is strong and very beautiful. She has no problem keeping up with Henry, and pushes over his walls. These two are Hot together. Like the other couples in this series, these two are scorching.

Henry is the man behind Shaft. He keeps everyone safe. He’s the protector. But Henry has little time to worry about what Henry wants. Rae is brought in to be the nanny for the Shaft kids when the current one quits. Thanks, Mack. Henry loves that she’s feisty and great with the kids. Sparks fly but Henry and Rae both don’t want anything too serious. Will they give this relationship a try or are they both too gun shy to take the leap forward?

“I’ll do tonight what I always do: keep watch and busy myself until it’s time to move the group to the next tour stop. When I am in the chaos of everything that is Shaft, I am in my element. Aiden may be the control freak, but he has nothing on the amount of power I possess without even batting an eyelash. It’s a fucking rush, I’ll give him that, but eventually the high wears off and you’re left wanting.

I am a protector, it’s what I have done nearly my entire life. I’ve sacrificed everything I have ever wanted or needed for those around me for the greater good. One for all and all for one; yeah, that’s our motto. Sure, there is an amount of pride that comes along with such selfless acts, but there’s also a degree of loneliness. Cold sheets are a constant reminder that I am still alone.”

I was pretty upset that Henry was always alone. I didn’t think I’d like this book as much as Hunter’s, but I was pleasantly surprised. When Rae’s past comes out, I was shocked at what she had went through. Henry was the perfect person to help Rae heal and protect her. But Rae surprises people with how strong she is on her own. Mack…oh my goodness. His Cunter training was out of control. If Hunter was an asshole, Mack was Hunter times 10! He deserves crabs. Ireland and Mack will definitely be a force to reckon with. Watch out, Spooners!

It’s almost time for some more Shaft. It makes me giddy and gives me chills. Mack has a lot to work on if he wants to win me over. Ireland is also a mini Cunter and out of control. Who will be able to rein these two in?

5 Stars!

I love this series. Oh yes give me some bad boy, foul mouthed rockers who make panties wet any day of the week and I will devour them. I stumbled upon this series a few months back and..... was totally blown away! Well we watched all of the Shaft boys fall in love, get married and have children. Now, it is time for BIG MAN!

I loved this book. I mean I think Henry may just be my favorite guy out of them all. Older, rugged, specks of gray, and totally alpha, Henry was a man I wanted to know. I wanted to know what made him tic. What made him so closed off but so devoted to the guys. I knew he had a story and wow... he blew me away! This book was nothing short of sweet, sexy, delicious, complicated, funny, and took me on a ride with Shaft that I didn't want to end..

This is Rae and Henry's story. Henry is the keeper and protector of the guys and gals of Shaft. He is their right hand man and somewhat a father figure. As he watched his guys all grow up, mature (Ha! yeah right- Never Hunter!) and get families, that internal restlessness of wanting someone too is creeping in. But he has been burned in the past and scarred so he feels unworthy of love. That is until he meets Rae... the new nanny for Shaft.

One destination wedding.
One firecracker of a woman.
Big Man's limits are going to be tested.

I loved Henry. Sweet, sexy, alpha, protective, and over the top in every way, Henry will make you swoon and fall... hard, just like he did for Rae. She was perfect for him in every way, despite their age different. Henry's life was not easy at times so opening his heart was hard, but Rae managed to get past those steel enforced walls. I love how she was strong, independent, and could hold her on with Big Man even when he was grumpy. Between the sheets... HOT!

I highly recommend this book.

Fighting Me by Cat Mason is the fifth book in the Shaft on Tour series. Henry Richardson has always been the glue to hold the band together. As the main man for security, he’s stayed back and observed while protecting Grayson, Hunter, and Aiden, and now their wives and kids. He’s strong and loyal, everything you’d want in a family member. But being the lead security man can have its downfalls. He doesn’t let anyone into his dark past. He focuses only on the Shaft family, not himself. Sometimes it’s hard for him to see everyone else happy and not be able to have that in his life. He can’t keep giving parts of him away only for it to fall apart in the end. Rae Sloan loves working with kids. She used to work at a daycare center, until she was offered the nanny job for Shaft. Being the independent and driven woman she is, of course she took the job. Traveling with the band and looking after the kids is an adjustment, but she absolutely enjoys every minute of it. She loves being able to play with the kids, and gets along very well with the whole family. She truly loves her job. She immediately notices Henry, a good looking man who hides behind his sunglasses. She knows he has a story, but doesn’t force it out of him. Henry can’t get over how beautiful Rae is. Absolutely stunning, he tries to keep his hands to himself while working around her. But when the Shaft family ends up on a private island for Hunter and Chase’s wedding, will they be able to keep their hands off each other? Will they finally be able to feel comfortable with one another and confront their pasts? Find out in Fighting Me! Five stars again for me on this one! What a relationship Cat Mason has made in this book. Finally bringing the family together with Rae and Henry is a breath of fresh air. This book is part of a series you don’t want to miss.

Favorite Quotes:

“X-rated Scrabble around here is serious business. One wrong play, and it can turn into pandemonium.”

“Hunter’s damn near foaming at the mouth watching me plate up the last slices. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think he was rabid.”

“I get that I said something that I shouldn’t have, but we all have dark pieces in our pasts, Henry. If not, the light wouldn’t be worth fighting for.”

“Don’t try to understand Bitchenese… One false translation is all it takes for all hell to break loose.”

“‘He’s your beau?’ she asks, waggling her brows suggestively. ‘Well you should’ve said somethin’ before I got my hopes up. I thought you brought me home a hunk of the Florida Keys. You really shouldn’t disappoint an old woman like that, Rae Marie. If we weren’t in front of the stud here I’d take my spoon to your ass.”

“Placing her glass of chocolate milk back on the table, she scrunches up her nose. ‘If a boy even breathes on me, I scream and tell him that my daddy will whoop his ass.’”

“Sitting back on her walker, Iva rests her elbows on the handles. ‘I don’t know what happened, and for your sake, Hunk, I hope it wasn’t your doing. I’m old. My back and legs hurt, so I can’t kick your ass, but I’ll shoot it if you hold still enough,’ she chuckles.”

My Review:

I am so grooving on this series, Book 5 in this series and Ms. Mason just keeps getting better as a writer. The plot was well paced and entertaining, the humor bubbled, and the story line continued the seductive and addicting lure established in the previous volumes. The sensuality is beyond hawt! In addition, I was overjoyed to see the Big Man get his chance at a HEA. One more book to go.

Cat Mason you have done it again! Henry was awesome! He was always in the back ground unless the boys were doing something horrible and getting into trouble and in this one we get to see him come out of his shell and grow.
Rae knows what she does and doesn't want with her life and when a great new job falls into her lap she cant help but take it. you can tell she never saw any of this coming and she will be taking the bull by the horns so to speak. She fits right in with the Shaft gang and even helps to calm them down a little around the kiddos which is really her job.

Henry has always been the protector of the boys he loves all of them and their new spouses as much as any "father" would but in doing so he is has missed out on so much and is so afraid of being burned again. SO he stays on the side lines and watches over everyone trying to keep them out of trouble.

When these two collide there is something there that neither can explain really with both of them having been in deep loving relationships before this feeling is still new to them. They are trying to fight it and not doing a great job. Though Rae will do her best to prove to Henry that they will be able to keep work and pleasure separate.

Things start to change quickly for the two them and they are really lost at what to do but at the same time they are loving every minute of it. They are doing their jobs and living theirs lives and it all seems to be working out.

What I like about Cat is that not everything in her book is peachy or black and white there is gray and mess and age differences etc...... that's what makes these books great.

5 amazing stars..

I am so glad Henry got his own story. This has been another epic read from Cat Mason.
Henry is the man behind the scene. He is dedicated and loyal, head of security he protects the band, the women and the kids. This is his family. We have gotten pieces of Henry throughout the series and with each story I became more intrigued and seriously needed more.

When the bands nanny quits over an embarrassing encounter right before a much needed vacation the bands turns to the label for help. Rae Sloan is a daycare worker for Ironsound Records. She is fun, sweet, loves kids. She has been hurt in the past so relationship is not something she looking for.

Henry has been burned in the past. He hides behind his shades, he feels unworthy of love so relationships is not in the cards for him. Or so he thinks..

When Henry meets Rea the new nanny for Shaft you can feel the heat coming right off the pages.

I loved this series.. Cat Mason knows how to write the perfect blend of laughter, love, anguish. A complete emotional cocktail. That will have you begging for more.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING !!!

Fighting Me is yet another fantastic book in the Shaft On Tour series. I have been reading this series since the beginning and to say that I have been anxious for the big guy's story is an understatement.

Henry the big bear we all just love to pieces is really deep down inside a haunted soul. But the things that haunt him are also the things that have molded him into the fierce, vigilant protector we all know and love.

When Rae and Henry meet its electrifying. Rae is just amazing I LOVE her soft, compassionate yet take no BS personality, she's the perfect counter to Henry's stoic on guard do as I say personality. But its a long road for both of these individuals to overcome their demons and accept the love that the have for each other. In between there are all the usual Shaft shenanigans AND finally Hunter and Chase get married.

The ONLY thing I found myself wishing for as I finished reading Fighting Me, was for someone to kick Kathryn's teeth in :-). Overall, if you like steamy, hilarious Rockstar Romance, Shaft On Tour is a must read.

I loved Henry’s book! My only complaint is that I felt like it just ended when it was really getting good. Guess I’ll have to read book 6 to see how Big Man deals with everything.

Henry Richardson “Big Man” has always been the man behind the scenes, the man on the sidelines, the man every member of Shaft and their family rely on. Readers have caught small glimpses of what makes Henry who he is, but he still remained the elusive, sunglass wearing man who hides behind his dark lenses and allows no one close enough to truly understand his past because in his mind if no one gets in then no one gets hurt…it’s just unclear what happened to him and what it’s going to take to break through Henry’s wall and allow him to live for himself and take his shot at happiness like all of the other members of the Shaft family have.

Rae Sloan just might be the woman to give Henry what he deserves, but they’ll both have to work through their scarred pasts in order for anything to happen. Rae’s the perfect addition to the Shaft crew; she meshes well with the women, and she gives as good as she gets from the testosterone fueled males. Henry doesn’t scare Rae; in fact, his abrasiveness pisses her off, and she isn’t afraid to cut through the bullshit and give Henry the real her and force him to be honest about who he is.

I really loved getting the Big Man’s story; I wanted Henry’s back story and the reasons he is who he is and I got that as well as an in-depth look at the real Henry – the dirty talking alpha male who is a fierce protector and lover. There’s still more to understand about Henry, though, because he’s not quite an open book yet, so I hope that Cat Mason adds to Henry and Rae’s story and gives readers everything that makes Henry the Big Man.

Fighting Me, is the fifth book in one of my favorite series. We've had the three band members stories, now we get behind the shades of The Big Man.
Henry has been a part of Hunter and Aiden's lives since he rescued them from their abusive father when they were very young. They found Grayson, and Shaft was born. And once again Henry took ok the roll of protector. Becoming the bands body guard and babysitter if needed. As the boys found their happily ever afters. Henry's family grew. But he has never truly let anyone in. Never feeling deserving of love. It always goes bad. He is content to stay in the shadows and watch others find their happiness. Henry is carrying around some serious demons. He lives with a monster inside of him.
The band is scheduled for a much needed vacation, and they are combining it with a secret beach wedding for Hunter and Chase. Shortly before the trip, their nanny quits. Enter feisty, witty, Rae. The minute she lays eyes on Henry, she is smitten. And she does everything possible to break down his barriers. And she succeeds where others have failed. Or so it seems.
Both Henry and Rae have lost their loved one. Where Rae has learned to live with the consequences and move on with her life. Henry has let his guilt fester and damage him. Henry can learn a lot from Rae, if only he can allow himself to trust her. Something he has never done with anyone outside of his "family".
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Henry's story. He is always around, but always in the shadows. But I really liked his story. Learning about his past explained a lot about who he is. I'm glad he and Rae found each other. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. Big changes are coming I think, with all the new additions.

When I heard that Cat was writing Henry's story, I squealed with excitement. Henry is security for the band Shaft & also part of their family. He's a big, mysterious man who hides his emotions behind his shades though. No one knows the secrets that Henry has kept to himself all these years. Due to these secrets and being duped in the "love" department, he has closed himself off to any kind of romance. That is, until he meets the new nanny for the Shaft crew, Rae Sloan.

Rae also has her secrets that she doesn't want to reveal. She's had her heart broken and didn't plan on romance any time soon. When she met Henry, she felt something there and decided to take a chance and pursue it. With the pull between them, it was hard for either to say no.

The chemistry between them was freaking HOT, even if it was just a look that was passed between them. There were several parts where I felt tingles reading the scenes, but other parts had me laughing my butt off. Cat's way with words is off the charts amaaaazing! Love it! There were some sad moments, but for the most part, Fighting Me was fun and lively. The end made me smile BIG.

This book was very hard to put down. I stayed up late reading & actually had to force myself to wait til the next morning to read more. It's been a long time since I've read a book in a few days, but I did just that with this one (a HUGE accomplishment for me. lol). I can honestly say that Fighting Me is now my favorite in the Shaft on Tour series (it just trumped Chasing Me. Sorry Hunter). I really hope Cat gives us more of the Shaft crew, because this series is awesome! <3

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I love the Shaft Guys and their ladies. I have been sooooo eager for Henry's book. I wanna know about the big guy. I fell in love with him and my heart broke for him after Katheryn and all her drama. SO when I heard this book was is...happy dance.....I also am super stoked at who may be getting a book next?????? The set up at the ending????? HRMMMM??????

Ok Henry is Mr. Professional. He keeps the boys in line...well mainly Hunter....but he keeps everyone safe. He is the safety of this family of rockers. He has had his heart stomped on and he is pretty much just living in the shadows. He removes himself so he wont get hurt.

Rae is a nanny that the group hires after the other nanny quits. She is all sass and fire. She will not back down to Henry at all. The two have a fire that is insane from the first moments they meet. When the finally connect, there is the typical miscommunication and shut downs. Henry will not get hurt and Rae will not be ignored. The couple finally get to connecting and deciding to be an "us" when a final surprise has Rae freaking out!!!

The cast of characters was so fun. I loved Hunter !! The man and his bacon obsession is not normal!!! I think Jazzy made me laugh just as much as her daddy. Seeing Cam and Aiden plus Daisey and Grey so happy made me happy. The Shaft family is growing thought with the new introductions that we get this book....very exciting!!!

Henry has been a big part of the Shaft on Tour series from book 1, and I was happy to see him finally getting his own story. There were hints to a dark past, and I wondered how that was going to play out in this story. Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a sweet romance 4 star with humor, hot sex, and a satisfying happily ever after. I did have trouble falling in love with this story because I felt there were some things that needed to be explored more. The paparazzi, and Katherine’s role in making the lives of the Shaft members hell were a big deal in the beginning, but they just kind of disappeared. I was expecting more, and kept waiting for something to happen between Katherine and Rae. Still, I enjoyed this installment of this rocking romantic series.

When Rae is hired on as the nanny for the Shaft children, she falls right in with their craziness. I really liked Rae’s character. She’s had some rough breaks, and she still suffers because of them, but she doesn’t allow her pain to rule her life. She’s strong, fun, and she doesn’t have any problem putting Henry in his place—something he needs a few times.

Henry has tried to stay in the background as much as possible and keep his distance from everyone. That became even more important to him after Katherine betrayed him. So, despite his attraction to Rae, he is determined not to act on it. Fortunately for him, Rae doesn’t make it very easy to stick with that resolve, and Henry soon finds himself unable to stay away from the new nanny. That is when things definitely get hot.

Henry. The "Big Man" on the Shaft on tour show. The backbone of the crew. The main man. The provider. The security to them all. The one who is deep down hurting the most and no one sees it.

Rae comes in out of sheer luck, or better yet, Mack's royal screw up (pun intended) and manages to knock the sails right out of the "Big Man" himself. Going toe to toe with Henry is nothing for the pint size woman who can see right through him. Something that the people who he has spent 24/7 with for the past so many years of his life failed to see.

Taming the "bear" and proving to him at the same time that you are worthy of love no matter what your past has dealt you, is just what Rae has in store for Henry. But, can living separate on the road and her at home with the women when the kids start in school survive what they are building? Henry makes some tough decisions in his life and his career. Always being the front man of security and the alpha, he see's what is important in his life.

Henry has got to be by far the hottest of them all so far. He is the ultimate man and lover. Being older and wise within his years has a lot to do with just what he wants but not feeling he is worthy of those wants. Never knowing if he would have a lil Henry of his own one day. Never knowing if that was even a possibility. Can Rae and Henry work out their lives and settle down? This is a must read! I couldn't put this book down from the time I started it until I finished!

So ready for the next book in this series already!

"Sometimes it's a good thing to just get lost, Henry. It reminds us that the world is so much bigger than us and our problems."

The Big Man has hit the big 4-0 and realises that his life is empty. Aware of the mistakes of his past he embraces the man he has become but also recognises that his family is evolving and he needs to roll with the punches. His boys have settled down with the other halves of their souls, the band is hitting the big time with fame and fortune heading their way yet he feels empty. Allowing the demons of his past to haunt him Henry is stern, serious and all business. With the betrayal of Katherine still fresh he feels he let's everyone down if he wants something for himself. He is a hard man who has put his heart to sleep...

Rae is a last minute shoe in when the nanny quits just before Shaft heads off to a secret location for the wedding of the year. Hiding her painful past she welcomes two weeks on beach caring for the Shaft children yet the unexpected happens. Attraction, heat and an undeniable connection with the Big Man was not what Rae had planned. Yet she feels him watching her and she in return sees what he so desperately tries to hide behind those sunglasses.

With the band wrapped up in the impending nuptials can Henry relax enough to let someone slink in underneath his armour? Can Rae break down his walls? Can Hunters wedding really go off without a hitch? This is another fantastic addition to the Shaft on Tour series with a little less humour and more introspective dialogues the band is growing up!

A heartwarming four star read.

I've read the other books in Cat Mason's Shaft on Tour series and loved them. They're a great blend of sexy but funny too. The boys of Shaft are great. The banter between them all is at times laugh out loud hilarious.
Looking after the boys through each book was Henry. He's their security guard, friend and almost a father figure in some ways, the way he's always making sure nothing ever happens to any of them. It always seemed like he was the one never destined to have love and yet it wasn't clear about what had happened in his life either, until now.
This book was Henry's story and what a story. He had a dark past, things he'd done that he didn't want to talk about, loves lost and emotional pain caused to him by another.
The humor is still there. Hunter, bacon loving Hunter might be toned down a little now, but the man is hilarious. He has his own dialect that's for sure.
Rae comes into it as the nanny to the Shaft children and something about her struck a chord with me given her medical condition. Our son was diagnosed with this a year ago so I was strangely pleased that the author got it right as to the symptoms and what is necessary to help the sufferer.
I loved watching the development of the relationship between Rae and Henry. He's such a huge bulk of a man but I reckon underneath, he's a bit of a softy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Henry's story is my favourite so far. You can't go wrong with the boys from Shaft though. Cat Mason sure knows how to write funny but sexy.

Another awesome book in the Shaft series, This one focuses on the big man Henry who is in charge of security for the guys in shaft and there families. As with the previous books, there is lots of laughter, craziness (mainly regarding Hunter) and hot sex. The story also introduces some new characters Rae who is employed as a nanny after the other nanny quits and Ireland who is like Hunter (only with a vagina)and Rae's gram Iva who reminds me a lot of Hunter too. Along with a couple of new security guys.

The story is a bit of a slow burn, especially in developing the relationship between Rae and Henry, but it works because there is a lot about Henry that you don't know, and it takes time to understand his motives, and reasons as to why he keeps himself so shut off. The chemistry between Henry and Rae was great and she fitted into the group really well. As did Rae's gram, who was hilarious especially during her first interaction with Henry.

Overall though I really loved this book, and the entire series, Cat Mason has quickly become a huge favourite of mine, and these books just get better and slightly crazier every time, Which really is a good thing!! Can't wait for book 6 and to find out more about Mack and Ireland's past. Until then I'm going to re-read the other books in this series and recommend to anyone who loves hot rockers, and craziness in equal measure.

ndle Edition)

Fighting Me is another epic read in a series that has quickly become one of my all time favorites. Not one of the books in this series has been anything less than brilliant.

Big Guy Henry, whom I love so much, is a tortured soul deep down. He gets through his days by hiding behind complete control of everything, and though it makes him the best head of security, it doesn't leave room for love. Rae Sloan is a sassy, independent woman, that doesn't take crap from anyone. She loves kids, and has been working at the record labels Daycare Center, until a live in position for the Shaft family opens up. When Rae and Henry meet, it was explosive.

I'm not sure how Cat Mason does it, but every book she writes has me rolling with loud belly laughter, and Fighting Me was no exception. She is a genius at weaving an emotional ride like no other. The demons of the past, anger, fear, big mistakes, running, HOT chemistry, and big love all rolled up with EPIC hilarious dialogue between characters, is out of this world brilliant. I highly recommend not drinking a beverage while reading, otherwise you may spit it out on your family or pets. Cat Mason, your writing is EPICALLY AMAZING, and I'm waiting impatiently for your next book. Everyone should do themselves a huge favor and read this ROCK STAR authors' Shaft on Tour series!

We focus on Henry in this book! YES! I've been wondering who Jenn was since the last book. Now I am finding out some more about who she is or was to him. If you thought Chasing ME was funny, just wait until you read Fighting ME. In one chapter alone, it was so funny after Henry and Rae went crab hunting on the beach with regards to what they did with the crabs... I laughed so hard and long I could not see, I could not breathe, my stomach and sides hurt, my asthma started kicking in and I was crying. It was one of the funniest scenes I have ever read in a book. OH MY GOODNESS! The bet Rae has going with Hunter is also an interesting read. Hunter's bacon saying zingers in this story are funny. Wow, the scenes between Rae and Henry as they explore a new relationship are S T E A M Y! When I finally find out about Jenn, and Henry's past after Rae ends up sick, my mind was blown away.

FIGHTING ME is the fifth book in the Shaft on Tour series. It is best if you read them in the order of release.

I loved having Henry be the center of attention this time. Sometimes the protector needs some nurturing and oh what a woman to provide it for him! Rae isn’t taking any nonsense from him or the boys.

I’ve always loved Henry and now I’m especially happy for him. I just knew that when he fell he would fall hard and fast. Luckily, Rae isn’t a pushover. She fits right in with the gang and gives as good as they try to dish out!

What I like best about any Cat Mason book is the laugh-until-my-sides-hurt, real-life, silly antics and jibes that these friends-turned-family put each other through.

When it comes to Shaft on Tour, all I can do is scream, “More! More! More!!”

Note: While I received this book as a gifted copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Big Man is the one who takes care of and protects his family. It began when he took in two boys to raise and now that family includes the band boys and the women they love. Henry has put his love life on hold to put them first. The only time he let someone in he and the band were betrayed. He now accepts that his life is about them and puts a wall around his heart. Then Rae comes into his life and changes everything. Rae was working for the record company when she got the job of nanny for the band. She takes her job seriously and ends up butting heads with Henry on occasion. They are both attracted to each other, but fight the chemistry. Until they don't. Now they have to figure out how that works with life with the band.

I so loved Henry. I was so excited to read his story. He is throughout the previous books as the protector and I wanted so much for him to fall in love and have his happily ever after like the rest of the band. I so enjoyed his story.

(Hunter is still my favorite.)

I give Fighting Me 5 hearts!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, betrayal, secrets, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Escaping Me (Shaft on Tour, #1)
Facing Me (Shaft on Tour, #2)
Chasing Me (Shaft on Tour, #3)
Shafting the Halls (Shaft on Tour Book 4)

This is Rae and Henry’s story. Henry’s life consists of taking care of Shaft they are his family. Rae works with children. She is the new nanny. The sparks fly right away between Henry and Rae but they are both going to fight the pull. After a few misunderstanding they get into a groove and can talk to each other. With them both having a troubled history can they work together to make a relationship work. They both have secrets. What happens when all the secrets come out will they want to stick together? Or is it all over?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Oh, Big Man! I’m so happy that we finally have Henry’s story and that we finally have someone that is good enough for him. He always takes care of everyone else, but he has no one to take care of him. Cat Mason has created this wonderful collection of men in Shaft and they are all these dirty, foul mouth rockers and we have always had Henry behind the scenes. It was definitely time for him to get his.

We meet fierce Rae when she becomes the nanny for Shaft and what happens from there is just fate. Henry can’t handle the fact that he should find his happiness. He doesn’t feel worthy of it, but can Rae break through the grizzly bear and find the teddy bear inside?

Fighting Me is hot, steamy, and wonderful. We have the men we love from Shaft and their significant others, but damn I’m glad that Henry finally gets his. This is a great way to spend a day on the beach. Sand, sun, and Henry!

Fighting Me (Shaft on Tour, #5) by Cat Mason the band finally has a break in their touring schedule and are looking forward to a much needed vacation. Right before they were supposed to go on their vacation their nanny ups and quits. In walks Rae to step in to take care of the Shaft children. Henry the protector of the group /head of security is getting older and has been taken care of the gang but he has no one for himself. He would like to find someone after the fiasco of the one person he finally let into his family. She betrayed him and he is worried about meeting someone new but Rae has him ready to pound nails. The author does what she does best when it comes to the members of Shaft. We get a treat with Henry and Rae’s story along with the rest of cast of characters. And once again she did not disappoint with the laughs and practical jokes. Another enjoyable ride. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I give this story 4.5 stars

5 Stars of Henry Hotness

So this one is all about the "Big Man"! We have read about him, wonder about him and now we finally have him! HENRY!!!

Always the man in the background, always the one watching your back. Henry is always there to protect what's his. Now we get a glimpse at what makes him the wall of impenetrable man that he is.

Cat does an excellent job with this story. The flow is great, it has all the trademarks of a Shaft book! The whole gang is here! Plus we get to meet a little spitfire named Rae who will turn Henry's world upside down.

Things are changing in the Shaft world. A small group has turned into a big family. But the Shaft boys are hitting the big time and we all know that turns relationships and emotions to crap. I personally can not wait to see what Cat has in store for the rest of the Shaft Gang.

This whole series is absolute MUST READS!!!!
