FBI Agent Madison Hart has returned to her hometown to visit her sister who has been injured. Her sister, an investigative journalist, has been hired by the local newspaper to look into some cases of missing women. Being injured, she is unable to fulfill that request, so who better to look into missing persons than her sister.
Setting up an office, she first sets out to meet the lead detective .. Josh Logan. Although not sure if he needs an FBI agent horning into his case, he nevertheless does share what he has.
Turns out there are 5 missing young women .. and the body of one of them has turned up. And then three more bodies are found.
What do they have in common? The closer Madison and Josh get to finding the answers, the closer danger comes to taking their lives.
The story premise is a good one. There's mystery, suspense, a major twist that comes as a surprise and a bit of romance between two people who have their own issues. Madison is very strong, and not very good at relationships .. mainly because she's married to the job. Josh is more laid back, but very much dedicated to his own job.
It's the beginning of a series, so the ending of the book becomes the beginning of the next. I look forward to more adventures of Madison Hart.

This author should have a warning on this one that if you enter in you will be lost in Madison's world not wanting to return. I am a huge fan of a delicious mystery that has just the right touch of romance but mainly will have a juicy mystery to solve. I got caught up right away with Winter but she is only one small part being her friend Jim gets them into some very interesting cases. This time it will have to be her sister Madison whom is with the FBI but comes for her sister. Things start hopping with what she is asked to look into with women disappearing, with oh my I am a goner I have to know too. As each step is done and each clue is revealed she will have a partner in local enforcement that will also make for a delicious partner-Josh. This was one intriguing mystery that soon turned into murder was a foot with not being predictable thank goodness. You will get so caught up with alot of spine tingle stuff and a bit of scooby too. By the time things are coming into place and pieces fall together I do not want it to end but want to know the 5 w's. The ending is not really the ending but just the beginning with me being very much loving this series already with glad I read this author.

Criminal investigations are in the family for Madison with the FBI and her sister, investigator journalist. Asked by Jim who has a gut instinct, that the women missing our connected..Madison steps in, while her sister is recuperating. With the help of the local law enforcement, Josh, they work as a team, to unraveling what turns out to be 5 missing women. It was a deep twisted look, at the art world, models, and, murder. How they solve, is a detail step by step, by the author. Good beginning to this series, and will intrigue readers onto the next.

This was a well thought out, exciting story, with twist and turns so realistic that one would actually be experiencing the moment as the plot was revealed! The small town and family ties made this psychological thriller the “one” that could not be put down until the murderer was caught! Best mystery!
Definitely recommend this exciting mystery. Be warned, you won’t be able to stop reading and hunger for more at the end.

Teamwork pays!
This was a good book and I enjoyed meeting all the characters. Madison (FBI) and Josh (local detective) made a great team trying to solve the mystery of missing girls in Madison's home town. There was enough personal relationship involved to keep my interest. I will visit with these two again in the future!

Good
I enjoyed this story. From the first 4 Thor the story I was sure who the killer was , but half way through I came to decide it was to easy, so I went a complete different direction and this time I was right.

A fabulous story but badly in need of an editor. Incomplete sentences, lack of punctuation and changing tenses abound. Add to that a formatting error that knocks off the first letter of each row. Also, Champaign is a university town in Illinois; champagne is the bubbly drink.

Each time the characters turned a stone over another wall is placed in front of you. DB Jones will have your head spinning with each clue to unfold the mystery of each murder.

Good story knew early on who the murderer was but the following the trail to reveal was very good. Some spelling and grammar errors but minimnimal

It was a free book on Amazon and I put it on my Kindle. I ran a cross it and started reading it and couldn't put it down. Now I need to check to see if DB Jones has another book for me!

Honestly, I struggled to read this book to its conclusion. I am not saying not to give this author a chance, but it was not for me personally

For me this book started out slow but soon took off as the author sucked me in with a page turner. She gives you some major twist that you won't see coming. I had this mystery of who done it worked out after the first few chapters. I thought to myself hummm this was to easy. I FORGOT only believe half of what you see and never anything you read. I had part of it worked out but I never saw that coming for sure. LOL. She gives you mystery, suspense, thrills and danger as she throws in just a little romance. This author knows how to draw you in and keep your attention as she spins a wonderful tale of who, what and when. There is a killer loose who will be the next victim? What is it going to take to bring the killer in before another women comes up missing
Madison is with the FBI when her sister gets sick her old friend calls her in to help with a case that just doesn't feel right. It is a missing person they want to do an article on it thinking it will be news worthy. They start thinking all the missing women are tied together now to find what they have in command. As they get closer to the killer Madison life could be in danger. They must find the killer before more women come up missing. Madison has her hands full as she partners with Detective Logan sparks fly as the meet head on to work through the puzzles in a race to find the killer. I really like Madison she is strong not letting anything get in her way of putting the pieces together. She is a hard worker who is caring and helpful to those around her. She really gives 110 percent to her job and her family. She really cares about these victims and does everything in her power to find them.
When Josh Logan first meets Madison he thinks she is a stuck up lady with an attitude like most FBI sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. It doesn't take him long to know she knows her stuff as he follows her around piece it together. He just wishes he didn't find her attractive which is making it hard to keep his mind on his job. Oh they butt heads a few times this sure is one bullhead women. She is like a dog with a bone, never stops and keeps him on his toes. When things take a turn and it looks like she is in danger he does everything he can to keep her safe. Josh is good at his job, together these two make on heck of a team. I really like Josh he is kind of an alpha with a great sense of humor, caring and very protective.
This is one author that doesn't give much away as she spins a wonderful story that sucks you in with a compelling read. There are very few clues of who the killer is but if you look close enough you might work it out. She gives you wonderful characters with such compassion not only for their jobs but for those around them. The supporting characters are great even those you aren't supposed to like you can't help but like. She keeps your heart pumping as you think she is going to take the story one way and she goes another. This was a very well written story with pain as they find the missing women trying to work out who the killer is and why. I could not put this book down and read it at one setting. The author gives you just a hint of romance with her main story being of the missing women. At times she gives you a humorous read with keeps the story interesting. This is one author to keep your eyes on as I am sure she will someday be a bestseller. I found her in a post where others were talking about what a wonderful author she is. The author and book description got my attention what I found was an author that is a pot of gold who is very talented and gives a compelling read that you do not want to put down.. I cannot wait to read the next in this series to see what Madison gets into and where it takes her. I am really surprised this author doesn't have more reviews she is very talented as she gives you a wonderful entertaining read that keeps you turning the pages. If you haven't read anything by this author you really should pick up this book.

now i am hooked. This was such a great, easy and creative book. i was hooked after the first page.
The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.
i would highly recommend this author and this book.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Wonderfully written couldn't put it down. I'm not all into mystery/suspense type books but Diane has a way of writing that she pulls you in and the story will grip you till the last pages. Looking forward to more stories from this talented wonderful author.

i am always a sucker for a good mystery and this one did not disappoint. very well written and keeps you on your toes until the very end. Cannot wait to dig into the next in the series, may have found a new fav character in Madison Hart!!

This book like all of her other books are great reads. You are drawn into her books making you feel like a part of the book. She is one of my favorite authors . Love her dearly. Keep being awesome Diane B Jones
