On her first day at work, Liane Peyton finds out Emmett Radcliffe hired her to build a secret database and soon discovers that saving the planet isn’t Emmett’s only obsession in this ‘sexsational’ futuristic erotic romance. I was completely charmed by this quick and deliciously sexy story and I have to say that I got quite a kick at the unconventional but truly fitting way the Weathermen dealt with that jerk.

I'm in love with Emmett, that's all ;-)
Seriously though, this is a great story. I loved the first one in the series, but I think this one is even better. Looking forward to the next one.
Ravenna has created a fantastic, if somewhat frightening vision of our future, made all the more concerning, because you could see it happening.
Throw in drool worthy heroes, clever and capable heroines, and oodles of hot, kinky sex... yeah, fab read!

Please have mercy on me, Ravenna Tate. I am only human, after all. If you keep writing books like "Obsession By Design", I might be headed to an early grave because my heart can't take it.

I'm not sure if I could love this story any more than I did. It has everything...literally, everything. The main characters are interesting, and they've got amazing chemistry. The subject is timely, and even a bit on the scary side (No...I don't mean their relationship). The plot is well written and thought out. There's great dialogue and humor, and it's intelligent. And I would be completely remiss if I didn't mention the sex. Oh, the sex! From the first kiss until the very end, Emmett and Liane have just THE hottest sex. It was nuclear, and I found myself wiggling in my chair just a bit. Ok...more than a bit. It was incredible, and it was intense, and I am not kidding when I say it included perhaps the BEST anal scene I've ever read (if you're into that kind of thing).

I want to give you a quick plot rundown, but not too much because the book speaks for itself. It's the future, and a group of hackers have destroyed a program that was supposed to help maintain the weather. Now, the earth is 80% uninhabitable, and most of the people live in underground cities. There is a group of men who are trying to find those hackers and to stop the virus they infected the project with. Here, we have Emmett who owns a software/web design company. He hires Liane, a talented programmer to help work on a database that can be used to search for codenames and identies of the hackers. There is an instant attraction, and while Emmett isn't a relationship kind of guy, his intention to bed Liane for only a little while begins to fall apart VERY soon after they're first encounter.

That's the gist, and you really MUST read the rest. "Obsession By Design" is the second installment in "The Weathermen" series, and what a great series it's shaping up to be. The first story, "Appetite for Blackmail" is fantastic too. Obviously, it's going to follow the adventures of the men who call themselves The Weathermen, and the hackers will eventually be discovered and brought to justice. I'm excited to have been able to get in on the ground floor, and I can't wait to see what else Ms. Tate has in store.

The Romance Review

Finding a job in post Tommy Twister world is not easy. When Liane finds her dream job working for powerful Emmett Radcliffe, she is over the moon. She starts her job thinking she must be designing only to find out it's her coding skills which Emmett wants most. Or is it? Emmett quickly also expresses his sexual desires for Liane. Will Liane be able to mix business with pleasure? Why not? Life could end tomorrow.

Ms. Tate kicks the sex up a notch in the second book in the Weathermen Series. The sexual tension between Liane and Emmett is spiced up with their mutual enjoyment of kink. For those who enjoy a little bit of kinky bedroom play, this story will work for you. The sex scenes are a nice break between the race to figure out the people behind The Madeline Project. Honestly, I read this series not for the sex but for the storyline.

The plot in this story is moved forward just a tiny bit. With four good friends working together, a reader would expect the plot to move a bit faster. Because, isn't this about halfway through? There are only two books left to determine who is causing these terrible problems Earthside and why.

What I like about this story is how the underground world is built out. Ms. Tate does a decent job of creating a speculative world if humans are to live beneath the surface. The little descriptions of how air flows and simulated light all add to this world and make it come alive. This world is not perfect as crime can still be an issue. This makes life in the story familiar and easy to visualize.

This second book in the series keeps my interest and makes me want to read the next book immediately. Recommended for romance readers who enjoy speculative fiction and rich alpha males.

Well I want to thank Jenny and all the readers that reached out to us to review the second book. A special thank you to Ravenna Tate for agreeing to our request.

I was not disappointed with this book at all, it gave me everything I wanted and more.

I love, love, love, Emmett did I mention that I love him. He is an in your face, tell it like it is kind of man. He’s an alpha male and he knows it but the more you get to know him, you find yourself falling in love and wishing he was real. I enjoyed the first book and loved Ace but Emmett gave me a vulnerable side that I didn’t get in the first book. I loved how he developed throughout the book and made sure he didn’t leave Liane behind. Ravenna Tate does a great job mixing the sci-fi and romance within the story and its characters.

Liane leaves her home since she is out of a job and she’s done all she can do for the only family she has left. After having some of the toughest years of her life since the Madeline Project ruined earth, she find herself working for Emmett. Liane might be a lot of things but dumb is not one of them. She quickly picks up on Emmett’s desires both professionally and personally. Once they get on the same page the sheets ignite with more than just passion. While helping Emmett, Liane gives into her urges and asks him to make her wishes come true.

I give this book 4 diamonds and can’t wait for the 3rd installment in the series Ravenna Tate really did step it up and made sure she kept her fans happy.

In the year 2124, life on Earth is underground. Living in the vast underground cities built during the nuclear scare of 2072, are millions of people doing their best to adjust to their new way of life.

Among those is the group known as the Weathermen. They have combined their power and resources to find a way to make the surface habitable again and will spare no expense to make it happen.

To do so, each member of the group has put together a team of IT professionals to try to find the people responsible for the virus that turned the weather into a raging, killing machine.

As part of the project, Emmett has hired Laine, a computer coder, to be part of his team in SouthEast, sight unseen. During their first meeting, sparks fly between them and against all odds, find comfort in each other.

Both Emmett and Laine have many issues from the past that they are still dealing with but find that with the help of the other, there is nothing they can't overcome.

As much as I love the romance of the story, I find myself wanting to know more and more about the world they are trying to save.

The second book on the series just as awesome as the first. They are gathering more Intel on the bad guys while another one of The Weathermen falls in love. A little danger on the surface and some hot sex make this a great addition.

The Weathermen series moves to book two and the next hot, dominant, rich, business man. Did I say dominant? Just checking. I'm already loving this series, and there are plenty more books to go. As you may or may not know, we are well into the future, 2124. A group of hackers have invented a virus called the Tommy Twister which has invaded the Madeline Project and has forced people to live underground due to the severe weather. (The beginning of every book explains what happened.)

In this book, Liane is hired by Emmett Radcliffe to work on a top secret project because of her coding abilities. But soon she realizes he wants her for a lot more than her talent in coding. Just from the description of Emmett in the pages alone, he sounds absolutely hot! And the books in this series just keep getting better and better. But that's not a surprise, after all, we are talking about Ravenna Tate here. Her Alpha males and their sassy, confident females always manage to entice this reader and leave me wanting more! Thank goodness there IS more!

DNF @ 32%.

This one was too similar to the last book. The H is mega rich and hires the h, using a little blackmail, to work for him. He also wants to sleep with her and h is ok with it. There was so chemistry btw them and they pretty quickly fall into bed together. I was so bored.
