This is a sweet but definitely not PG rated HEA romance. Bridget gets dumped by her boyfriend and ends up sitting alone at a bar staring at a drink she is not even drinking. Marcus shows up and starts talking to her. They talk for hours and end up having a one night stand. They use a condom and they never tell each other their names or anything that would help them find each other again. The next day he gets recruited into the NHL and moves to Boston.

Five years later Bridget moves back to Boston to help her father. She is raising twin girls on her own and hires Jess as a live in nanny. Jess arrives with her older brother. Marcus. Suddenly Bridget is face to face with the man she never thought she would see again. He has no idea the girls are his because they used a condom and he assumes they belong to the ex who dumped her the night they met.

From there the story turns into dating, reconnecting, learning who they are now, and Marcus bonding with the girls in ways that make Bridget fall even harder. He listens to her. He lets his guard down. He reads bedtime stories. He becomes part of their world without knowing the truth.

The twins are adorable and very much their parents. They add a lot of charm to the story and they are not just background characters. They matter.

It is a pretty good book with a solid storyline. I read it in one day, but I read most books in one day unless they are extremely long or extremely boring. This one kept my attention and gave me the HEA I wanted. I love that the girls are so much like both of their parents.

An opposites-attract hockey romance with plenty of steam, emotional moments, and a relationship that grew in a more mature way than I expected.
Bridget and Marcus start off with a very hot connection, but the story shifts into a slower burn as they deal with the consequences of their one-night stand and everything that comes with it.

I enjoyed that they both had their own struggles, especially when it came to their relationships with their fathers - one faced with the possible loss of him, while the other had been abandoned.
Their feelings, fears, and decisions made sense based on their past experiences, even when they weren’t easy choices.

Now, I wasn’t a huge fan of how long the secret reveal was dragged out, especially knowing Marcus’ history and how much the truth could hurt him, but I did appreciate the honesty between them once everything came to light.
The quiet growth of their relationship was one of my favorite parts. They built trust, communicated, and developed a connection beyond the initial attraction.

The coincidence of Bridget hiring his sister as the nanny was a little convenient, but it worked to bring them closer and allowed their relationship to naturally develop.

I also loved that the hockey was actually part of the story. The games and team moments were woven throughout, making it feel like a true sports romance rather than just a romance featuring a hockey player.

And I have to mention ‘Mar-kiss’… absolutely loved that!

Overall, this was a sweet, steamy hockey romance with mature characters, emotional depth, and a couple that was very easy to root for.

Whew! There is a lot to unpack in this book. Though there is a lot, this book flows beautifully. Ms. Landon knows how to keep readers engage with a story. This book is no different. Marcus Devlin and Bridgett Merritt met and had a one-night stand in Arizona. No names or numbers were exchanged. Bridgett learned a few weeks later that was a mistake. Bridgett needed to find this mystery man that left her with something that would change her life.

Flash forward five years later. Bridgett is the mother of twin girls, Violet and Piper. She is doing well for herself. She moved back to Boston to be closer to her parents. Bridgett wanted help with the girls and found a wonderful live-in nanny. Imagine Bridget's surprise when she opens the door for her new nanny, Jess, and finds her one-night stand. Marcus is Jess's brother. Small world.

Marcus now plays hockey for the Boston Riots and is known for his temper on the ice. Bridget now knew who he was. When will she tell him the truth? This book got even deeper when Bridget and Marcus started actually dating. The attraction was still there even after the five year separation. There are two things that could tear this budding relationship apart. Will Marcus accept the twins and want to be in their lives as a father? Bridget is having her doubts. There is a lot of family that comes into play and makes this a hard decision. Will Bridget find a love that she never thought existed? Will the girls get a father? This is a good one. Like I said, Ms. Landon knows how to keep readers involved in a story.

This was such a great story! Bridget meets a sexy stranger in a bar just after breaking up with her boyfriend and decides to live by the motto, “The best way to get over someone is to get under someone.” They never exchange names—just one unforgettable night of passion.

Five years later, Bridget, now the mother of twins, is stunned to discover that her new nanny’s brother is none other than the man from that night. Marcus has never forgotten the mysterious redhead he met before his NHL career took off, so opening Bridget’s front door is the last surprise he expected.

As they reconnect, the chemistry between them is hotter than ever (serious 🔥🔥🔥🔥). Bridget must decide whether to tell Marcus that he’s the father of her twins and trust him not only with her secret but also with her daughter’s heart. Marcus, who never imagined becoming a father because of his own deadbeat dad, has to believe he can break the cycle and be the parent his children deserve.

This was a fantastic read from start to finish—emotional, steamy, and impossible to put down. An easy, enjoyable romance that I highly recommend.

Hot and heavy from the first page! Amazing characters with sizzling chemistry.

Bridget just got dumped. Two years given to one man for him to up and walk away. So she decides to test the saying "The only way to get over a guy is to get under another". It works, for a bit. A steamy one night stand and she was gone in the morning. Only problem is she left with a little more than a memory.

Marcus never really forgot that one night. He thinks that the girl might be good luck because after spending a night with her he was drafted, first round, to the NHL. But she left before he even got her name. So when he helps his sister move into the home of her new employer, he is surprised to find the woman she will be nanny for is his one night stand from five years ago.

The chemistry is still there. It hits hot and fast. Secrets come to light. Will it be too much with the stress of a championship run and a sick father?

reacquainted with a ONS

This is a ONS and then unexpected rediscovery of the relationship. They hooked up in AZ 5 years ago but then she hires his little sister in Boston as the nanny to her twins… who are also his. Marcus gets her number from his sister, Jess, for “emergencies”. He asks Bridget out because he feels connected to her and has some superstitions related to her because of the things that have happened on the days he has seen her. He is the captain of a hockey team in Boston and has a negative reputation he plays into, “Devil Devlin”. Bridget gives him a chance and they start to see more of each other. But both of them are cautious, him because he doesn’t do relationships and her because of the twins. They talk like adults and try to manage their own trauma. Can they survive the muck enough to get to the other side?

Bridget and Marcus share one night but she leaves before he wakes up and they don’t exchange any information. When she realizes she’s pregnant, she has no way to find him. She accepts that and moves on to build a good life for herself and her twin daughters. Five years later, fate takes a hand and the brother of her new nanny is Marcus. I loved the realness of the characters. They both had stresses - work, family, the children they share and the growth of their relationship with each other. Marcus worries what kind of father he’ll be but he does the most important thing right away - he shows up and keeps his promises. A truly lovely story - lots of heat and all the feels!

- ONS to more
- Secret babies
- Second chance
- Hockey romance

This story starts out with strangers sharing a night, no names, no numbers. However, when Bridget discovers she is pregnant, she has no way of contacting Marcus. So she does the best she can to raise her twin girls alone.....

Fast forward 5 years. Bridget hires a nanny and is stunned to find out her brother is the ONS and father of her children. But instead of telling him, she lets him think the girls are from her former boyfriend.

Eventually, the two reconnect and slowly build a relationship for their little family. This is a lovely story and a quick read.

This is a great story written by one of my favorite authors. Marcus melted my heart. He's strong minded with a subtle vulnerablity and gentleness. Don"t let the "Bad Boy" reputation fool you. Bridget is amazing. She sacrifices for the sake of the people she loves. Violet and Paige are 30 year olds stuck in the bodies of littles. So aware and wise. And, there's exciting hockey! Smooth and exciting storytelling puts the reader right in the middle of beautiful chaos. Romantic, passionate, and the kind of stuff that makes this book one of my favorite summer reads.

I have to be honest. There are a lot of books out there that have the "secret baby" trope, but Lexi Landon puts the cherry on top with her writing style. I actually enjoyed the story, the characters, and the world they live in. I found Marcus and Bridget to be authentic, and the issues and challenges they face are real. The way the twins were incorporated into the storyline did not take away from the journey but only enhanced it. This was fun, sassy, dramatic and spicy. Thank you for letting me be a part of the ARC team and for this opportunity.

Bridget had a one night stand with a man she did not know his name, where he was from or where he was going. That one night stand gave her the best things in her life, Piper and Violet. She moves back to the town where she grew up to help her mom with her father. She hires a live in nanny and Jess shows up along with Marcus, her one night stand. How do you tell someone they have twins? Do you let them near your babies, who are 4 years old and living their best life? So many questions and you have a father not in good health. Love this book. Keep it up Lexi.

“Secret Twins for the Pucking Bad Boy” by Lexi Landon

-A sweet, steamy hockey romance with lovable characters, adorable twins, and plenty of heartfelt moments. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Marcus and Bridget have wonderful chemistry, and it’s enjoyable watching their relationship grow beyond their one-night stand as mutual trust grows.

The secret dragged out a little long, but Marcus’s bond with his daughters is heartmelting.

This was overall a fun, emotional romance with a nice ending.

Somehow I ended up reading a book with a sports theme that has a title I usually avoid.
Actually, it wasn’t that awful. I am not a great sports fan, so thankfully there was an actual story between the game narrative.
Despite the use of a condom, a one night stand where the participants don’t even exchange names results in pregnancy, and that produces twins.
Five years pass, and each still remembers the other, despite not knowing their identity.
Coincidence brings them together, and they develop a relationship, with her finally revealing the identity of the twins’ father.

First off I fell in love with the twins. Piper is pure chaos and Violet is completely the opposite and they are perfect. I enjoyed that fate if you will brought Marcus and Bridget together. The chemistry they have and the love each one has for their family, which is part of the reason Bridget moves back, just adds even more to their relationship. I was feeling all the emotions and rooting for them to become the family they were meant to be. There is so much I can say, but I don't want to give anything away. I really was so happy with their HEA!!!

Secret Twins For The Pucking Bad Boy

I loved this touching romance. Hockey Captain Marcus doesn't realize the twin girls his sister nannies are his. He recognizes thier mother as a girl he met 5 years ago in Arizona and has not forgotten her. She immediately recognizes him too. They start to spend time together and get to know each other more, then she tells him her secret. Good honest dialog with good flow. Some hockey action, and very moving moments. This is a very good book. I enjoy her writing and will be reading more of Lexi's books.

In walks her new nanny with the man from five years ago behind her. The nanny's brother is the father of her twins, but he doesn't know it. What happens next is fantabulous reading.

Great realistic storyline. Loved all the characters. This is an unexpected second chance at life and love for Marcus and Bridget. He can do what his father didn't. Be there for his children and the woman he loves.
