I enjoyed the trip down memory lane to New Orleans. This was a read about family, love, medical challenges, war, and discovering yourself.

“I love reading about wars, but I never expected I would actually fight in one”

“purple signifies confidence and independence”

“Remember, you’re a service man’s wife. Be quiet, respectful, and calm.”

“It’s almost as if the mix of people, people of different colors and cultures, are in peace, getting along together. Could that be possible?”

“There’s a lot you can learn by being an observer.”

“How can she stay positive when things get out of whack?”

“In the mist of all the bad things going on in this world, I want to find the good in it.”

“No matter what life throws at you, you have to remember to find a way to celebrate life. Every day.”

“it is never too late to restore their relationship “

Great book. It was well written and very interesting. It kept me engaged throughout the whole time reading it. There was a good sense of suspense throughout the book that kept me wondering how it was going to end and who would end up together. The ending has a great twist and I loved it. Well done! I highly recommend reading it.

Nice story line between generations. Enjoyed the references from small town to larger cities and how in the end it comes back to living an enjoyable life and making friends along the way.
