I think was a good story my only issue is the author left some holes in the story that should be addressed. Mainly the FMC with her BFF Tasha. That betrayal was HUGE and I felt we didn’t really get closure on it. Now Rome the ex got exactly what he deserved. He was a narcissist for sure glad Navy found a REAL ninja in Lev.

Miss Navy done been through it! That raggedy ass Rome was terrible, and I hated that she didn't leave him sooner. But, like Lulu said, she had to leave when she was ready.
Starting at the end of the story, and reliving it through Navy was exciting, cause girl....🤯😮 Navy had her head on straight determined to get rid of that nothing damn husband of hers, but he seemed to always have the inside track of her moves before she did anything. 👀 Fed up she goes against all her morals to get the hell outta that house, and away from him. Well, that quick decision turned into a whole other thing! Now she has Marv and Lev in her life, while she is trying to keep everything together.
Rome is spiraling, Marv is paranoid, and Lev is using this opportunity to get closer to Navy. No one could have paid me to believe THAT was how Navy got injured, cause what the hell? 🤬 Then Miss Tasha! 😤 How did you let it get to that over some money huh? At the expense of your relationship with Navy, whom you claim to love? Whew... Navy betta than me cause chile the way she would have been cut off? Swift and Immediate! 🤬🤷🏿♀️ Loved Lev and how he didn't fight his growing feelings for Navy, with all that was going on with them. The way he cared and protected her was beautiful. Enjoyed this! 👍🏿👍🏿

This was good
How in the world did Navy not crack? Like seriously Rome would have made me end him a LONG time ago. Her heart was too trusting and empathetic. There had to be some deep rooted parent issues for real. She didn't even have a real friend but that is a complaint for another day. It seems as if everyone was out for themselves and guilt only came because of getting caught.
Now Lev, he was a straight shooter. Although he had a hard exterior his heart was sweet. My boy was tired of saving the ones that were stuck in their own way. He stood ten toes down for the real ones with ambition and drive. I personally would have got at Marv but also listened as he was only half tweaking. It was sad to see him go out like that though.
This book was a lot but I enjoyed every page and Navy getting free from all that she was going through.

Movie Worthy
This is genuinely one of the best and most compelling stories I've had the pleasure of reading this entire year. Everything about this incredibly engaging storyline absolutely screams that a movie really needs to be made from it.
The intense drama, the shocking betrayal, and the powerful coming together of characters after a significant and unexpected mishap was truly everything I could have hoped for and so much more!
There are so many intricate and moving parts woven throughout this story that kept you completely captivated and thoroughly engaged all the way down to the very last page.

It's neither this or that but it's something
I don't do half stars personally but if I did this would probably be a 2.5 star book. The writing was not bad and the story mechanics was not bad so I couldn't in good conscience sit this at a 2. Ultimately the book left me frustrated. The deets:

This book is on Amazon labeled as Black Women's Fiction, Black and Urban Romance, and Urban Fiction. For meeee personally I would say the Urban Fiction fits the best.
🦿The romance narrative and pacing was deeply flawed and the romance narrative was missing for large portions of the book. Yes there is an HEA with the mains but we didn't get a solid romance narrative. Instead, the mains spent significant portions of the book either separate or with others.
🦿Women's Fic doesn't work because male characters do get a pov spotlight and the MMC E'Levyn or Lev does get "real estate" on page from his perspective.
🦿The Urban part is there, shaky but there. We had this great set-up "who shot my cousin? And will I be pulled back into the game?" But that was often not leaned into.

I wanted to read because I'm a sucker for disability rep in Romances. And this just doesn't have a very strong presence. For how heavily promoted the book is for the FMC to be an amputee I was left feeling disappointed we don't see this until the last 20% of the book. I just wish it occurred sooner and we saw the fallout and our mains moving like a couple. I kept expecting to see it happen.

Navy just made terrible choices from page 1 and did so consistently. Navy wasn't a bad character but she was always and forever focused on the wrong things. We start the novel and I was sucked in with the drama of her trying to get away and escape her abusive husband while kiki-ing on the phone with her friend about how she responded to a "woman to woman" situation gave me whiplash. Strong angst intro so I'm down. But was immediately letdown by Navy's poor choices in how she was getting away. Navy girl is worried for her life but focused on wigs, clothes and not checking her savings. Baby needs to be worried about her escape plan moreso than how she got her getback to the other woman. I was so shocked by her concerns I kept reading as an experiment to see how this would unfold. And it works as a hook. It introduces us to other woman drama and a no good man. It also hooked me into seeing how this could fit as women's lit.
Rome is the best character in the book regarding interest, pop, and characterization. Psychologically he got me with his pov chapter. He's absolutely terrible but his choices and methodology kept me wanting to read. I wanted to learn and know more about his terribleness. Unfortunately, we are given his great angsty situations but nothing is done with it by the end. So many of the street/urban elements weaved through him but we did not truly see it unfold or feel retributive closure .
Same with Marv. I was shocked how his character took a turn and why. We just didn't get proper pulled threads there. He has this drastic change but without followup on the crime/street aspect it felt left behind.
And again with Tasha a major bomb drops with her being a snake and yet no fallout. She doesn't even go into full truth of what she did to Navy. I was waiting to see a comeuppance but it never came! But wait same for Ashley who had some Other Woman pop-up drama but we never hear from her again. I was actually worried what next so she feels like a hanging thread. With the type of dirt they were all doing I was hoping for an ending that felt cathartic.

Overall it just ended without any flourish. It was just an "alrighty, well that was that." The writing is strong but the story just fizzled towards the end given the great messy angst we had.

Some love stories begin with fate. Eleven Days begins with a mistake.
Navy is doing everything she can to survive an abusive relationship when one desperate decision changes the course of her life. After taking something that doesn’t belong to her, she’s given eleven days to make it right by the one man she never expected to cross paths with.
E’Levyn was supposed to teach her a lesson.
Instead, he lost his heart.
What I loved most about this story wasn’t just the chemistry—it was watching E’Levyn fall for Navy while she slowly learned what it felt like to be seen, protected, and genuinely loved. Their connection didn’t feel rushed. It grew through trust, vulnerability, and moments that made me smile, swoon, and ache for them.
Navy’s journey from surviving to healing was beautifully written, and E’Levyn is the kind of book boyfriend who stays with you long after you finish the last page. Protective without trying to control her, patient when she needed grace, and relentless when it came to loving her—he completely stole the show.

picked this up and couldn’t put it down.
e’levyn started showing navy that he was interested and cared about her in small ways at first like popping up at the wherever she was, telling her to go home since she needed sleep, giving her advice, asking her about her situation and life story. e’levyn wasn’t looking for love and even though navy owed him a debt he fell first and hard for her. i loved seeing him tell marvin she ain’t to be touched or played with, loved the way he stayed by her side in the hospital and helped her through physical therapy. navy and e’levyn were two sides of the same coin they didn’t sugar coat anything regardless if it would hurt your feelings or not they always told it straight. they truly deserved the love and happiness thru poured into each other.
tasha need her ass beat, i wish navy would’ve told her that she heard the confession and then cut tasha off for good because regardless of you needing money for your mother fucking rome was inexcusable he didn’t force you and make matters worse you lied to navy in her face when she caught him at your house and you needed up pregnant by him, that shouldn’t of been her friend anymore. rome got what he deserved but i wish it was e’levyn that actually killed him

Yes E'Levyn
I was waiting for the time to see the love connection between Navy and E'Levyn. I knew how they met. All eyes were on Navy in that hospital room. I honestly didn't feel a love connection between her and Marv, more of just buddys. The perceptive wise street sense E'Levyn possessed put him right where he needed to be for the answers. He kept it to himself because he feared Marv would end her. An offer she couldn't refuse was given for her transgression. But, when I say this woman was about business and was getting things together within her eleven days. It wasn't planned but something developed between them with E'Levyn seeing a woman who wasn't dealt the best hand but didn't wallow but did what needed to be done. Her affiliation with Marv and Lev had Rome looking at her as an opp and Marv saw that tie to Rome as her setting him up. We know why his mind went there. Unfortunately, day eleven was what no one expected. It was bad for Navy, Rome and Marv. Life changed for all after this day but the survivors found strength in one another. I know we don't hate Tasha, but have we forgiven her enough to let her have Cevyn Nights or nah? Guess we'll have to see. Read this book!

I loved Navy as the FMC. In the beginning, I thought that she would be one of those irritating, weak FMCs but she did what she needed to do to get out of a rough situation. Rome was trashed and made me mad throughout the entire book. I didn’t expect the twist with Tasha and I really wish Navy would’ve called her out on it and separated herself cause homegirl deserved to suffer for the role she played. Lev’s character was perfect. He had such a strong presence without doing or saying much at all but I wish there would’ve been more interaction between him and Navy throughout the book. Their relationship literally went from 0 to 100 with no in between. Overall, I enjoyed the story. It was different and I can’t say I’ve read anything like it before. My only criticism is that an editor was desperately needed. My mind had to make so many corrections while reading through the book that it became exhausting after a certain point.

This book was sooooo good!!!…Lev did not miss a beat the moment he stepped on the scene and Navy got EVERYTHING that was needed for her happily ever after!!!…She endured a lot and fought like crazy for her freedom and some peace in her life!!!…
I don’t know how she still remained friends with Tasha because that relationship would be in the same place as Rome’s body!!!…It’s crazy how Tome took no accountability for the demise of his marriage with all the abuse and infidelity he brought into their marriage!!!…
Marv was doing way too much and it led to the end of his existence!!!…The fact that he was on that nose candy and was determined to make himself a victim in the mess he was doing was crazy!!!…
I loved me some fine Lulu and BJ!!!…They loved on their grandchildren, prayed and believed in them, even when they lost their way!!!…
I can’t wait to see how Cev is going to move through after his release!!!…

E’Levyn Days
Let me tell you how I had a great time with this read. The characters were phenomenal. Navy constantly found herself in tough situations. Her breaking point led her to make a poor decision that just continued to compound on top of itself. The way Navy and E’Levyn met was definitely expected, but their chemistry was undeniable. Lev is the definition of speaking quietly but carrying a big stick. Now that’s a mighty good man. Navy’s situationship with Marv, Rome, and Lev had my edges in a vice grip. (S.Yvonne….girl you did that). It quickly went from 0 to 1000. Whew…..The friendship between Navy and Tasha is definitely one in a million. My granny used to say if you get one friend in your lifetime, you have done well because people are fickle, funny and unfaithful.

don’t get the hype - with spoilers.
This was ok honestly. I read it because it was a number 1 recommendation but I don’t get the hype. For starters I didn’t care for multiple POV’s. Secondly the chemistry didn’t really pull me in, navy for one just was a mess. You’re a nurse literally you can’t leave a cheating a$$ man ?? Where was the parents everyone was raised by grand parents with no explanation. I didn’t actually see the build up to a relationship between Lev & Navy. Like there was no real dynamic of love between them neither were very likeable to me honestly. And Tasha got off way too easy for her grimy self. And also did her mom survive ? Overall kudos for a long story because I appreciate them but the character development could have been put to better use with a 400+ page story.

Navy was a strong FMC but way too kind hearted at times. She should have opened her eyes when Tasha was running her mouth. Or at least molly whopped once she was back to full strength.
I love me some E’Levyn. The strong, silent, observant sexy MMC. Once you’re his he does not play about you!

Navy and E’Levyn
People leave when they are ready and Navy gave so much of herself to Rome that she lost herself. She had a career, a life of her own and he hated that she didn’t really need him she just loved him. Rome got exactly what he deserved. I was truly disappointed with Marv, but once them drugs hit your system you are a whole different person, but Lev????? That’s a man, yes it started out shaky but I don’t think he honestly knew the extent of what she was experiencing until the accident. I feel he possibly blamed himself a bit because Marv was his cousin. Now Tasha? Here I am thinking you a ride or die best friend and you the sneaky friend smh. Im glad Navy was understanding, but she wouldn’t be near me at all sharing my moment or nothing.

Messy messy messy! At first the prologue had me confused and I had to go back and reread some things for clarification. This was a good story as we meet Navy whose life is just in ruin and she's trying to find a new space for herself while her husband knows and sabotages her plans. Navy gave a crazy decision which spirals her life for bad then good. Lev knew he was attracted to her but had his suspicions.
Although I enjoyed the story there are some things I question such as Tasha and that situation which required more dialogue. Things seemed to speed up after Navy's accident but I wanted more about her and Lev after.
Enjoyed it and will be reading the next story about the brother.

I did enjoy the book! However, I feel like it was missing something
We knew she lost a leg, but didn’t find out HOW until about 70% through the book.
I think her keeping the fact that she heard Tasha & knew was she did behind her back, to herself was weird.. even if she chose to forgive, she just didn’t say anything at all.
The relationship with Navy & E’Levyn was a nice slow burn build up BUT, a lot of their relationship built behind the scenes.. I would’ve liked to see more of their development after the accident, instead it skipped ahead months to her bday then again to the wedding..

Lev is bae
This was a good story.
Based on the back cover I assumed she was disabled from the beginning, but she wasn't. Would have like to see more of the disability since it seemed like that is what the story was about a disabled nurse.
Something that didn't make sense was the fact Navy remained friends with Tasha and never addressed the issue. She should have phased her out of her life for good.
Rome was crazy and I knew he was going to be the cause of her issue, but just wanted to see how it happened. I'm glad she got away from him.
Lev was that dude!!
The ending was cute.

Excellent
I love the book. It was an emotional roller-coaster, but I got through it. Nay went through so much. I didn't think she would get out of it. Rome was a mess. He should have been taking away a long time ago.
Sometimes, family can be your worst enemy. I am glad that Nay made sure she watched people around her.
I knew that after a while, Lev would fall in live with Nay. Their story started rocky, but I'm glad they made it through it. It took rough patches, but through it all, nothing stop them from being together.
Life through your challenges, but it is what you do with them.

E'levyn/Lev is going legit and doing his best to keep family close and at a distance. When a relative is hurt and something is missing, he figures out the reason behind it.
He and Navy cross path because she is his cousin's nurse. Navy's life changes when someone can't accept that she no longer wants to keep living the same way.
Lev stays by her side to help her through the changes that she is experiencing.

I wish we could’ve gotten a little more after the accident it felt rushed. I wanted people that did her wrong addressed like Tasha (she better not be in the next book- I don’t need nothing else from her) if anything we needed to see her downfall. Wonder where Ashley went and the baby and I wonder if Rome tried to make it right with Navy or at least apologized after he realized he what he did was wrong. But over all good book not much spice. We didn’t get much about the brother so not sure what to expect for the next book.

Heartfelt
It is amazing how men think they can mistreat women and accept it all, but when you leave they have the nerve to feel betrayed. Whew!!!! Rome was a mess and dirty in all aspects. He got what he deserved. I would h ave never been Tasha friend ever again, best friend cuts deep and no matter how she played in her head she was dead wrong and betrayed the sisterhood. This is a great read. Merv i really felt bad for but the drugs ultimately won in the end and caused him to be out here paranoid.

The lack of confrontation or conversation between Tasha and Navy really removed stars for me. Understanding does not equate to remaining for me. This was an ok read for me but read for yourself as my 3🌟 may be your 5🌟

A love like no other
I swear this book hit everyyyyy emotional point ! The start of the book had me on pins and needles waiting to see how we landed with our 1 leg beauty. Navy really just wanted a better life with no stressful attachments but baby the men just wouldn’t let her be! I was sitting here like how will E’Levyn bring some sort of piece to my girls life? He started out with a little chaos but loves always shows her hand. Great read with love , suspense , drama and betrayal🧡

For Navy it boiled down to if I can’t have you nobody can. A husband that refused to love her right but refused to let her go.
For Lev she was a nurse that helped saved her cousin, but also for the unthinkable. Lev wanted to get even and get what was his. He gave her eleven days to give him back what he was owed, it something writhin those eleven days changed and it became something else.

Everybody got what their m************ deserved in this book. Navy navy was gods strongest soldier. Because my girl was just put through it. Honestly, Tasha, deserved to have her a** beat because maybe it's better than me. I would not have sat there and pretend anything. I like Lev he was very level headed. Oh Navy was pissing me off in the beginning! Girl you got the apartment who cares about the furniture, get an air mattress!!! Then she was still answering her phone calls 🙄 But Navy is a survivor and I’m so proud she found her voice! Now I love E’levyn…he was observant and intentional. I was so emotional when Navy woke up and found out about her leg and that proposal 🥺 FUCK Tasha, Rome, and Marv!!!!!! I am excited about baby brother but I don’t want Tasha to be his love interest 👀

Navy went through so much, that lasted the entire book. I was so glad when she finally got her happy ending, but I wish the author didn't drag it the entire book. Lev gave her the love that she needed, but they really didn't click for me. Rome got what he deserved, I just wished we could've been apart of it. Tasha got off way too easy.
