OMG... This is one of the most heartfelt and the sweestest stories i ever read... I personally dont believed in soulmates but this story made me believe that it might be true... Its also about second chances and if only one is brave enough to take a risk and open their hearts, they will find true happiness.

Stephanie Alba is now my go to authors when im feeling down, knowing her stories will cheer me up

*An e-copy of the book was graciously given by the author in exchange for an honest review*

I usually like my romance fast-paced with some heat but I really enjoyed this light, slow building but intense story. The progression of the romance between the two main character was slow but sure. It wasn't hurried and it was perfectly timed. The plot is light and it is easy to read. Stephanie Alba's voice is like a lullaby that lulls a reader into this hypnotizingly sweet debut.

I gazed back, and there, in his eyes, I saw it; I wasn’t just Ellie Reed anymore. I was his someone.

Ellie didn't want to face the loss of the only man she loved. Flying to London and establishing a career and life there, she thought living away and alone was the best way to heal (running away from the memories). I liked Ellie's wit and simplicity. Her character was cut out from the real world. She had doubts, fears, and questions and sometimes she allowed them to decide for her. There were times when I disliked her for her actions but then I realized that just makes her more real and relatable.

I felt beheld by him, possessed just from his look.

Even if Rhys Edwards lived under the limelight for quite a long time, he wasn't blinded by the sparkling life of Hollywood. I loved the dynamics of Rhys' character! He was sweet, patient, and ever understanding. He's exactly what every woman should have. In contrast to Ellie, Rhys was ideal, perfectly cut out for her character. He was swoony, sweet, romantic, handsome, and a movie star. I mean what more can you ask?

“I know your soul and mine are made with the same pieces, and it just took us some time and life to find one another.”

The story flowed easily along with the slow, easy, but sure romance development between the characters. To some, it might be a bit dragging since it's slow paced but to me, it felt just right. The lack of speed was compensated with depth, and a whole lot of romance. The plot was light but it was engaging. It's a so-so read for me. Not too intense and hot. It's a relaxing read.

Ellie has lost big time. She’s lost her fiancé, her perfectly planned future, her hope, and ability to love. Or so she thinks… When presented with the chance to help heartthrob Rhys Edwards with his upcoming role as Hamlet, the last thing Ellie expects is a second chance at love, and life. Rhys is different than Ellie imagined. His kind heart and patient demeanor win her over in time. But life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, sometimes clouds of fear and doubt sneak in along the way.

I’m finding reviewing For Both Are Infinite very difficult. Every once in a while you stumble upon a book that is tough to connect with. That doesn’t mean the book is bad, or the writing sucks; it means that the story and writing just doesn’t mesh with person you are. It happens. Unfortunately for me, For Both Are Infinite was one of those books. What would normally take me days (at most) to read, took me weeks.

Ellie was a sweet character, but her fixation on the past grated on me after a while. It took almost half the book for her to feel comfortable enough to kiss Rhys. Granted, I’ve never lost my significant other suddenly. I really have no frame of reference when it comes to dealing with something of that magnitude. That doesn’t mean I didn’t want to shove her into Rhys while whispering “move on already” in her ear. Rhys has the patience of a saint. Actually, Saint Rhys has a nice ring to it. The man is a doll. Seriously. He probably hides angel wings and a halo.

For Both Are Infinite is a heartbreaking look at hope. It’s a reminder that while we may feel like our world is ending, sometimes that’s just beginning. I had trouble connecting with the characters, but you may fall head over heels for them. Don’t let me stop you from giving Rhys and Ellie a chance. This is Stephanie’s debut novel, and I look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.

The title of this book is so great for this work. I think Ms Alba was brilliant to name it as she did and I appreciate it the book that much more because of the title...though I don’t know if I really “got it” until almost the very end.

The story was wonderful and I enjoyed meeting Rhys and watching their relationship develop, but I had a hard time coming to like Ellie. I felt like she lived in an eternal state of denial for so much of the book. She kept everyone at arm’s length and didn’t want to get attached due to her sorrowful past. I was always hopeful that Rhys would break down her walls, but disappointed a the amount of time and ways he had to do it.

I loved Rhys thought from the very beginning. He was so sweet and shy - not at all what you would expect from a famous actor. This line from him asking her to come watch opening night solidified his place in my heart. He was trying so hard to not rush her and make her feel things she didn’t think she was ready for, but his heart was already gone - and hers:

“After all our work, I’ll feel better if you’re there…” He looked away and then back, quickly making a mental decision. “ I think I rather need you there.”

I remember thinking at 25% that their relationship was happening and that the rest of the book would be nothing but happy times and everyone would get their happily ever after...which would have been great, but the remainder of the book wasn’t just hearts and flowers and their relationship got tested in many ways.

At this point in the story, I was so in love with Rhys that I wished to be Ellie even with her tainted heart and history of sadness. I wanted to feel the love that she felt for Rhys:

I could sense the depth of his care in that kiss, and it made me tingle all over, awakening something deep in my heart as his mouth massaged mine. There was a new sense of happiness blossoming within those soft, passionate pecks, some short, some longer. It almost felt dream-like, except it was real. he was real, and he cared immensely for me, causing my heart to float and my eyes to water.

Though at the same time, I wondered why he dealt with so many of her emotional breakdowns and questioned how long he would hang one. AND still I loved his ability to show her that he is a good guy and he wants all of her for all time. He was so good about being understanding and caring for her in the way she needed to be cared for.

And the best quote of the book came from Rhys to Ellie while she was visiting him while filming in Los Angeles:

“I’ve never quite invested belief in soul mates or fate, but I have to admit I now see some truth behind the notion. I know your soul and mine are made with the same pieces, and it just took us some time and life to find one another.”

How could a guy look you in the eyes and express such a deep emotion and not leave you in a puddle on the floor?

I really took away a star because I just didn’t like Ellie for about 75% of the book and feel like the lead character and narrator should be someone I want to know and be friends with. She did come around here and there and I did finally find her to have redeemable qualities, but it just took too much out of the book for me.

Received a copy in exchange for an honest review

“As we spoke, Rhys stared at me, his lips parted into a soft expression. The constant eye contact and leaning forward was distracting, and I would often have to look away to keep my composure. He was enigmatic, or at least my feeling around him were.”

This story was so heartwarming and fun to read. I really couldn't put it down once I started it!! It was a complete pleasure to read!

Living in London was always part of the plan.
Ellie just didn't expect to do it alone.
Running away and starting anew was the only solution.

She set some rules for herself: no connections, no love, no friends.
Work would be her only solace.

But when she's assigned to train Rhys Edwards, Britain's Heartthrob, for his run as Hamlet on West End, all her plans fade away. Ellie soon realizes that just because you're breathing, it doesn't mean you're alive, and she learns it's the connections in life that make it worth living.

Ellie always wanted to live in London and when that dream happened she was thrilled. But she made a deal that she wasn’t going to have any distractions, no friends, no boys and no absolutely no connections to anything or anyone. She was going to focus on work only! That was until Rhys Edwards walks into her life. She’s assigned to help Rhys, London’s current obsession, pratice his role of as Hamlet for London’s West End. And as hard as she tries to fight her feelings, she can’t deny them very long. Will she drop down her walls and let her no boys rule come crashing down?? This story was a lot of fun to read and I loved it!! Bravo to Stephanie!!!

Words truly cannot describe how much I loved this book and how much it means to me. I know I throw this phrase around often, but I have NEVER meant it as much as I do right now, this is, without a doubt, my favorite book ever. I mean that with every fiber of my being. I recently took a trip to London and reading Mrs. Alba's words I was able to picture everything so vividly, like I was there watching the story unfold. Rhys and Ellie's story took me on a whirlwind journey that I never wanted to end. I fell hard and fast for these characters, and I honestly think they will always hold a special place in my heart. They captured me and I will never let go. Stephanie Alba wrote such a beautiful story that unfolded before my eyes. I was able to feel the raw emotion emanating from Rhys and Ellie. I loved how she spoke of the emotion showing through Rhys's eyes that Ellie always picked up on, like she could read him like he could read her. I was so moved throughout the book when Stephanie wrote about these characters and how they developed their connection, their love, and how they fell through the rabbit hole and ended up embedding themselves in each other's hearts.
I also really enjoyed the songs that Rhys periodically shared with Ellie throughout the book because it gave us glimpses into how Rhys felt without him having to explain to Ellie the depths of his feelings. This was truly and outstanding book through and through.

Also Rhys Edwards is officially my book husband!!

"'I'll take care of you.' I believed him, but for how long? How long would he allow me to covetously use him for my own healing?"

For Both Are Infinite is such a refreshing book. I didn't know what to expect going into this, but I am so glad I picked up and began reading this book. I felt connected to the characters from page one in more ways than one. Ellie is such a strong woman with a wonderful support system. Rhys is a sweetheart. He is patient, compassionate, loving, and so supportive.

Stephanie Alba's writing is at times very emotional, raw, honest, and absolutely beautiful. She has a way of helping readers connect with her words. I lost count of how many times I cried (happy and sad) tears, how many times I cheered each character on, and how many times I highlighted a quote in the book. I love how things happen in a very natural way instead of feeling rushed through the story and how this is exactly what the characters need.

If you haven't had the chance to read this book, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! It is such a sweet read and I cannot wait for the next book to come out!

Lastly, I want to leave you all with one of my favorite quotes in the book that will help other book lovers like me understand how amazing this story is!

"I collect them [books]. I figure they're snapshots of who I was when I read them - a sort of time capsule." - Rhys

Ellie always wanted to live her life in London and now she is,coming from the USA trying to escape the sadness ofher life before ,shes made a deal with herself no distractions,no friends and no love!!! She wanted to concentrate solely on her work as a professor of Shakespearan studies.Shes assigned to train Rhys Edwards, Londons current darling for his role as Hamlet in the west end. What Ellie didn’t count on was being so attracted to him,the actor is talented, gorgeous down to earth doesn’t have airs and graces and shes smitten but she has her self imposed rules will her feelings be too strong to be denied???But its not all plain sailing, theres misunderstandings and jealousy rears its head. Can they learn to trust in each other?
The story of Rhys and Ellie will touch your heart as it did mine, its one of these books you start and just don’t want to put down till you reach the end then youre sad you have!!The characters are easy to relate to and love Ellie is strong, funny and totally loveable.Rhys is totally swoon worthy I loved him!! I was completely blown away by this author's writing. Her story takes place in the modern day world, but she has the power to bring you to another place, another time. I would call it old fashioned. Her writing is phenomenal. This book was truly amazing. Ellie and Rhys story was different than most romances. There was tragedy, yes, for Ellie. Rhys met her, not by chance, nor circumstance, but because it was meant to be more than any story I've read before. This story takes place in London, but they travel to other places and you are truly there every step of the way. I adored their story and I hope others take the time to read it! Rhys is completely and utterly everything that book boyfriends are made of. I could have easily highlighted the whole book! One of my favorites hands down. If you didn't love Shakespeare before, you will after this book. After all, it's what brought them together.

American Ellie has always planned to be in London but she did not expect to be there alone. When her fiancé dies suddenly, she is still mourning him as she tries to move onwards. She runs off to London with no friends and plans just to concentrate on work.

But soon all things changes when she is hired to train Rhys Edwards, an actor who is performing Hamlet on the West End and happens to be Britain's latest Heartthrob. Quickly Ellie learns that it time to move forward after months of just breathing.

This is a quirky romance of a man in love who is willing to go slowly, to gain her love. But along the way misunderstandings and jealously plays a role in their relationship. Trust becomes a key issue as their relationship grows and fluster at times.

I received this for an honest review.. I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. The author did a wonderful job of pulling to very unlikely characters together for a really great book...

Ellie has had some trauma in her life and has learned to keep people at arms length..Rhys is an actor who needs Ellie's help with his new role..

The sparks between these two are beautiful and this book is extremely well written for a debut author..
I was pulled right into the story. I fell in love with Rhys right off the bat. Although with Ellie I struggled with her character for a bit until she really started to open up. Once she did I really started to enjoy her character and the romance between the two...

DEF MUST READ!!!

This is a beautiful love story from a very talented new author. I was taken with this love story and transported to London every time I picked up the book. I've never been but this makes me want to see every special place that she described. I loved the unique way Stephanie ties in music and how they are little love notes to each other.

I was given an ARC of Stephanie Alba's debut novel, For Both Are Infinite, in exchange for an honest review.

We meet Ellie Reed, a sweet girl from the east coast of the US that has been living in London to escape a saddened past back home. Although living in London was part of her plan she learned early on that life doesn't always go the way you planned it to. Because of her past she is determined to live her life in London and fills her time with work, work and more work. She doesn't need any friends, connections or attachments. Until she's assigned to work with the Rhys Edwards, the country's hunk, on an upcoming production of Hamlet.

Although Rhys Edwards is a famous actor, known throughout England and the globe, he isn't one to boast about his career path or level of fame. He's level headed, down to earth, admits his insecurities and feels emotions like everyone else.

What I enjoyed most about this book was the thoughtful, cutesy flirting that occurred throughout the entire story. Rhys wanted to know Ellie on a deeper level since they are assigned to work together for an extended period of time. He openly admits to flirting with her, but he's flirting to get to know her versus to get in her pants. You find out early on how caring and considering Rhys is, even before Ellie admits her past to him. Rhys pays close attention to every word that escapes Ellie's mouth, taking into consideration her personal interests, future travel destinations, music choices, and more.

I kept falling more and more in love with Rhys as I progressed through the story. I could not get over his character and how flawless he seemed. I still can't. I've claimed Rhys as MINE.

As a debut author, Stephanie did an impeccable job creating a fun story line and making sure the scenes flowed from one to another. I could tell instantly that her style of writing is strong, mature and straightforward. I was getting frustrated at myself for life's distractions and not being able to devour this book in a single sitting.

I HIGHLY recommend this debut novel to all romance readers. I loved this story, the characters, the plot, the struggles and look forward to what the future holds for Ellie and Rhys.

Bravo, Stephanie. You did an AMAZING job!

Wow! This book was beyond cute and sweet, with so much emotion! I often found myself smiling a lot while reading, but also getting emotional. This book was about loss and heartbreak but being able to move forward.

Ellie moved to London to start new after a tragic loss. She meets Rhys when she's assigned to help him do prep work for his new role in Hamlet. Just as Ellie, I was blown away by how kind he was. Ellie immediately captured Rhys' attention, something about her made him go after her. He was a sweetheart, a gentleman, kind, caring, understanding and so very charming. I LOVED HIM. He did seemed forward and pushy sometimes though. But I love how he brought life back to Ellie, he pushed her to open up and talk about things. He was also very traditional and romantic. Swoon! I want him! Can we also talk about how accepting he was? I fell harder for him. He was just so amazing!

Ellie did seem better when she was able to open up. I can't imagine going through that type of loss, I just knew it was hard for her to move on. Rhys was just beyond understanding and patient. He really wanted to be there for her, help her heal and be with her. Sometimes though, she would really cling to her past. I wish it was easier for her to move on. My heart broke.

This was such a wonderful book to read. I had a fun time reading it, meeting this characters. I love reading about their little trips and them being able to growing together. Sometimes they couldn't get things right and even mess things up, but they moved forward. That's life and I loved that. That epilogue was beautiful. Such a wonderful, deep, beautiful love story. Ellie and Rhys truly were soulmates. I swear, these characters captured my attention from the very start. Seeing them spend times with each other's family was so adorable and heartwarming. They really impacted each other's life. Stephanie Alba did a great job with her debut, I was hooked on from beginning to end. I'm looking forward to see what she hits us with next.

For Both Are Infinite is a wonderful debut novel that doesn't read like a first book at all. Stephanie Alba is a skilled storyteller who has weaved a lovely tale of grief, hope, and love after loss.

I always commend authors who stick to realistic timelines and characters in their story. It takes courage to deny your readers the instant gratification they crave in favour of steady and authentic character development.

So even during the moments the romantic in me wished Ellie would start moving on and let Rhys into her heart, I understood and respected her struggle for what it was; a grieving woman filling the hole in her heart at her own pace. People can't move on before they're ready to. Ellie's turmoil made not only the love she had for Aaron palpable, but it brought the character of Aaron to life. I felt what they had together, and as a result, what she lost.

And Rhys. Oh, Rhys. He is so close to perfect that it highlights Ellie's imperfections, almost unfairly. I absolutely love the way he loved Ellie, and any real-life men who encounter readers of this book will have a tough time competing with him as a book boyfriend. When Ellie finally let him love her, their bond was only made that much more beautiful by the slow burn build-up and the sense of achievement.

Occasionally, the pacing of For Both Are Infinite lacked momentum and consistency, but overall I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to see what's next for Ellie and Rhys, and from Stephanie Alba, too.

For Both Are Infinite is one of those stories that you immediately fall in love with. Once I began reading, I was completely absorbed in Ellie Reed's life. She moved to London for a new start and only wanted to concentrate on her work as a professor of Shakespearean studies. Her world, that she got so used to, was turned upside down when she was assigned to help Rhys Edwards, a very handsome and talented actor who was about to play Hamlet on stage. Her struggle to overcome her fears and his unwavering support just makes you fall hard for them. I found myself smiling like a fool throughout the book and kept wanting to read more as their story progressed. Each character that Stephanie introduces is so lovable and relatable. I really enjoyed getting lost in the world of Ellie and Rhys.

“The more I kissed him, the more alive I felt, as though the love in his affection was breathing air into my lungs and pumping blood into my heart.”

I kept coming back to this line (probably my favorite). Her heart was completely broken and numb, but with Rhys, it was mending and she felt alive. It sums up the entire theme of this story; finding that one person who understands you like no other, breathing life into your heart and soul.

This is my first book by this author, and it didn't disappoint. I loved every lovely, heartbreaking and beautiful moment of this book. It was beautiful and Rhys caught my attention and heart from the very beginning and never let go. The world, or at least my world would be a much better place if I had a guy like that. He seems to wonderful to be true, but would that not be amazing if he was?! Loss touches so many of us, in very different ways and forms. What Ellie went through was devastating, her process and grief was told in such a real way, it was relatable. She had so much inner strength. Her struggles and doubts about herself and relationship, while might have seemed annoying at times, it was so realistic and I personally found myself relating to her and her struggle. I adored her. I truly loved reading this book. All the characters reached out and touched a spot in my heart. Rhys is at the top, if not the number one spot of my list at the moment. Job well done Ms. Alba. Thanks to the Bookworm for introducing me to this author and book!

For Both Are Infinite by Stephanie Alba is an undeniably addictive read. From the very beginning I was hooked on Ellie and Rhys's story. Alba does a fantastic job in allowing their relationship to unfold naturally in a way that makes you feel as though Ellie is an old friend and Rhys is an actual real-life celebrity. His character is just too perfect for words. If you're looking for a crave-worthy story that will have you turning pages and sneaking in a read or three at every free moment, I highly recommend this book!

This book was so dull. Literally nothing happens other than Ellie pinning for her dead fiance and making the new boy jump through hoops to win her heart. You get a play by play of every single day of her life but she has no friends and does nothing but wallow and doubt and complain. It took 314 pages for something interesting to happen, you know the common miscommunication at the end of every romance novel. And even that was ridiculous because we all know Rhys would never cheat on her and if she honestly believed a tabloid photo over the months he had been proving himself she doesn't deserve him anyway. Dumb dumb dumb.
Aaron probably died of boredom if we are being honest.

Could have been half as long. Just a lot of repetitive or similar scenes and a LOT of exposition that could have been trimmed down. Having said that, it is still a good story with great characters.

I had a really hard time with this one - as you can probably tell from my status updates while reading it. There were times when I actually contemplated not finishing it - because I disliked the main character SO much and found it very difficult to connect with what was going on because she was so frustrating. I also felt that we didn't get a lot of 'show' but mostly a lot of 'tell' - I didn't sense connections between characters because I didn't know who they were. There were a few exceptions but even in the middle of the book I felt like I would need to scrounge the internet for fanfiction (if any exists for such a new novel) to get the deeper characterizations. Like Charlie. And Anne. And even James. I wanted to KNOW them. I didn't even get the feel that I KNEW Ellie - unless we're talking about her guilt and feelings for Aaron - but I definitely didn't see what Rhys saw that first moment. I understand they had a 'connection' but I neither saw nor heard WHY they had a connection. Ugh. See why I'm conflicted?

But then on the other hand - Rhys Edwards (who I seriously envisioned as Benedict Cumberbatch throughout and when Rhys was emotional I died a little inside) was a perfect man. Like literally THE perfect man. The unrealistically perfect man. Even when he was in a fit of temper - he was still perfect. While it made me 100% Team!Rhys - it was difficult not to want to cut Ellie when she was hurting him - or not trusting him - or not believing him - or just 3/4 of the book. (The Duchess of Cambridge was my PR for Ellie in case you were wondering)

Anyway - I'm confident leaving a 3 stars. It's an okay debut for a new author - and I'm not someone who should criticize - since I have THREE unfinished novels collecting metaphorical dust on my laptop that I keep saying I'm going to finish - but I had really been hoping for a little more from this one, I guess.

I had difficulty wanting to finish this book. In the end, I did, more just to be done with it. I want to respect the author's work, but honestly, there was not much to keep me interested in the plot. At the outset, we learn that tragedy colored Ellie's life and has caused her to turn inward to loneliness and seclusion in a foreign country. What could have been an interesting exploration of loss and personal discovery became a very flat story about an unbelievably perfect man (really, he was just not believable in his perfection both in appearance and personality) and how he put the pieces back together of Ellie's heart. He is rich. He is famous. He is devoted. He is honest. He is gorgeous. He is kind. He is too perfect.

Similarly, I didn't feel any "spark" with Ellie's character. She, also, was flat. Her friends were flat. The dialogue was stilted and also unrealistic (I think this was partially because the author wanted Rhys seem like a "proper British man." Thus, he used proper words and phrases and complete sentences. Again, unrealistic.). I didn't believe the world the author painted surrounding Ellie's life, job, and relationships with her family and friends.

Honestly I don't know why this book is so highly reviewed. While not awful, it was also
not great. There wasn't much by way of plot to spur the reader on. Attributes about each character were just explained when they could have been shown, with a smart reader left to fill in the blanks and draw their own conclusions.

If I need a book boyfriend who is an emotional savant I'll head to this book.

This book was like a hug. The author offered all the comfort intimacies from handholding and spooning to insta-understanding. Definitely showing that the author knows how to communicate love between two people.

But that insta-understanding removes you just a bit from reality. And if you pause for a bit...you wonder WHY the love is there. Oh, you see it grow beautifully with every glance and gesture of affection. But the characters seem to have been built to show that love and the rest of their character is like an impression. While the author knows how to 'show not tell' the importance of a hand clasp she TELLS you about their passions and interests and grumpy days and anything else that rounds out their personalities.

And the plot was built to show safe struggles and frustration - it didn't challenge the characters because the characters were built to withstand it. There was no real urgency in the moments of conflict because one conversation would lead to insta-understanding.

Right now this is a story about the comfort you find in love - but not about the two characters.

Still...emotionally savant book boyfriend and an author who adds depth to a forehead kiss.

I can imagine her building characters in the future that offer that same emotional landscape as Jodi Picoult but just not quite yet.
