Lorelai Kelly was mere inches from her Olympic goal, but a broken ankle landing a triple axel in the spotlight forced her to delay the gold medal hunt another four years. Now she’s starring in the Sin City on Ice show to make ends meet and focused on a comeback that keeps eluding her grasp.

Dylan gained national attention in his early teens and went on to become the NHL’s youngest captain and leading scorer in his second season. He breathed new life into a sport that had been dying in the States, but it’s lonely at the top. Now the captain of the Vegas Sinners team is feeling the pressure and looking for something more.

America’s ice princess might be the only one who can help his current slump—and Dylan’s way of expressing thanks could undermine everything Lori has worked for. Can two people who spend their lives on the ice thaw just enough to let each other in?

I live in Ohio with my husband and Sylvie the cat, and I write hockey romance.

I played one season of roller hockey when I was fifteen--it hurt enough that I decided I liked it better as a spectator--and it's been true love ever since! My fictional team is the Las Vegas Sinners, and my real-world team is the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I like strong, capable heroines who bring out the vulnerability in their tough guys.

There's not many MC's I love more than hockey players, and Ms. Kenyhercz gave us plenty of time with them in HOME ICE.

Olympic ice skating medalist turned Vegas showgirl Lorelai Kelly hates that she's resorted to headlining the cheesy Sin City on Ice show, but she'll do whatever it takes to help rebuild her ankle and keep her moves…and her name…fresh. Fellow Olympian, hockey player Dylan Cole, is heralded constantly as the best thing since sliced Gretzky. He's rather captivated by the lithe little thing on the practice rink looking fierce and determined. Despite a rocky introduction, the two become fast friends and are soon inseparable, their support for one other becoming the glue that holds them together and turns their relationship from friendly to intimate. But Dylan's a "fixer," and Lori's determined to do things on her own, a mix that has them both trying to find balance while navigating these new romantic waters.

HOME ICE is book 4 in the Las Vegas Sinners Series, and while I seem to have read this story in some variation or another in many books over the years, this one is definitely on the sweet side instead of sexy. This quote sums up Dylan:

"Of all his qualities, and there were many, the best was that unlikely transparency. What you saw was what you got. Hockey was the only game he played, and that was…irresistible."

Lori is a total people pleaser, and she wants to be successful on her own terms so that nobody feels like she let them down. I totally got her reaction to Dylan when he tried to "help," I thought it very adult that she forgave him, quite frankly. For his part, Dylan only wanted to help Lori, but he knew what she wanted and didn't want…something all men everywhere should abide by!!

There were a few lightly sensual sex scenes, mostly an implied hand here, a figurative body part there…nothing graphic or spectacular. Without hot sex, action or intrigue, the storyline got stale pretty quickly and the ending became terribly predictable, even though the writing was clean and well done.

Bottom Line: I give big props for Ms. Kenyhercz declaring herself a Pens fan, but I don't know that I'd personally go out of my way to read more in this series. - See more at: http://www.theromancereviews.com/view...

This is a romance with real substance. Kenyhercz combines romance with real life and sets it in the world of the Las Vegas Sinners in a manner that I won’t soon forget. The intricately crafted plot was about so much more than simply two people getting together. Kenyhercz paints the world surrounding the rink in vivid technicolour. She brings a number of aspects of competitive skating, be it hockey or figure, to light in a manner that truly enhances the story.

Kenyhercz writes characters who catch your attention from the moment you meet them. Dylan’s genuine cluelessness combines with his need to do the right thing and help others in manners that are truly comical at times. He wears his heart on his sleeve throughout, yet at the same time also maintains the macho, hockey captain aura. It’s a truly heady mix that you can’t help but love. Not to be outdone, Lori’s stubborn streak runs a mile wide, the need to succeed coming before all else. Yet at the same time, she is a sweetheart on her own journey of self-discovery. Together, these two are a fantastic, fairy-tale couple with all the rashness and snark of the real world.

Kenyhercz is quickly becoming my go-to author for fun, contemporary romances. This novel is definitely no exception, ranking right up with the best of them.

Home Ice (Las Vegas Sinners #4) by Katie Kenyhercz Olympic figure skating hopeful, Lorelai Kelly, is recovering from a broken ankle while staring in the Sin City on Ice show. NHL star, Dylan Cole recently suffered a shattered heart. Sharing the same rink, the two meet and have the potential to heal each other’s wounds.

Home Ice is a heartfelt sports romance with lovable characters.

Dylan is a sweetheart. Despite being the youngest captain in the NHL, as well as the team’s leading scorer, he is shy. I love that he is not cocky.

Lorelai is driven to win a gold medal in the next Olympics after breaking her ankle. She has made sacrifices her whole life for her dream. I like that she opens up to Dylan and does something for herself.

The two have a lot in common. Both are dedicated and motivated. They make an extremely cute couple. I could see the media going crazy for them.

The theme and plot were credible and engaging. Katie Kenyhercz does a wonderful job with her character development. The Las Vegan Sinners is a great series that I will continue to follow.

By far my favorite book of the series!!! I loved how even thought they were a couple they were also best friends!! the sweetness and love in this book is out of the world seriously a great read! Cole and Lori you're definitely my favorite couple! throw in hockey and you have the perfect combination.. sure there were a lot of bumps on the road, but it doesn't mean that love can't conquer all! so 5 Stanley cup stars!!!

I recently developed a liking for sports related romances. It is rather odd considering I'm not very sports minded and don't follow any sports teams unless my son is playing on one. I really liked this book. It was really nice to see that most of the people involved with the hockey team were female even the owner and coach. All the women were super strong and independent, the way I love my female characters.

Lori is this pretty fantastic figure skater that has had a few injuries set her back. She is totally not looking to meet anyone but it happens. Dylan is the Vegas Sinners sweetheart, loved by everyone and seems to do no wrong. Their relationship is sweet and has an excellent foundation.Dylan did some maturing throughout the book but can they be together when they both have high profile jobs?

Home Ice is the fourth book in the series and I wasn't lost at all. I did however purchase the first book in the series because I liked this one so much. You can totally see how the author has created a mini-family within the Sinners hockey team. Everyone is there for each other and have each other's back no matter what. It was neat to see how the other couples in the story interacted.

I really loved Lori's makeup artist best friend and how it is alluded to her being a male-to-female transgendered person. She was definitely a strong female character that helped Lori come to decisions about her relationship with Dylan.

I would totally recommend this book to anyone that is a fan of Toni Aleo's Assassains series! I will definitely be reading the first three books in the series and whatever books come out after this one.

I would say this book had my attention the whole way through. I just could tell where the story line was going most of the time. I didn’t really feel like there were any crazy surprises in the story line. It was an easy read and a cute romance story.

Not bad, but very similar to "Icebreaker" by Hannah Grace. I couldn't be bother to finish it, maybe I'll be back to do it in the future.

Another good book in this series. Lori and Dylan were both easy to love, had great chemistry and their relationship was well-developed. It was very easy to believe their love and feel it from their actions. The background characters were equally great though it would be important to read the previous novels to really understand anything about most of them. Of course, one exception was Margo. She wasn't in former novels but still came off as a pretty awesome friend. The story was also pretty great, two top professional athletes struggling through adversity and becoming a life-line for one another.

My only complaint was the conclusion. It was much too brief. This has been a problem with some of the other books in the series. While it is true that a little more closure has been provided for each of the character pairings as new books are released, it would be nice if some of that closure was provided at the end of their own story while they are still the focus. I don't mean to say that every book needs to end with an engagement, marriage and babies, but something outside of making up after a separation would be preferable. That should just be considered the climax not the conclusion. A climax and conclusion should not all be provided in the same "scene". On more, "life goes on" kind of moment is all I'm asking for.

Katie Kenyhercz scores once again. I have loved the Las Vegas Sinners series from the very beginning and was excited to hear that it was Dylan's story this time. I really liked Dylan and Lorelai. They both have challenges in their lives but that just makes them together that much more special. I found myself drawn in to their struggles and relating to their story. If you have not read the other books in the series you can still follow this one but I recommend reading the whole series because each story is wonderful. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review but will purchase a copy and will recommend it to my friends.

I got a free copy fro the author and tight maybe it was going to be boring story because of an ice smelter and hockey player. For my surprise Lorelai and Dylan are a cute couple that with obstacles between their relationship at first can't make it work because she has always done everything on her own. Dylan makes sure he takes care of her future specifically when he wants her to be he's future. cute couple its a must read

This series is so addictive! Each player we're introduced to just gets yummier and yummier. Dylan might take the cake though. Reading about his struggles with his game and having a girlfriend who is also struggling in her career, made me want to just hug them and not let go. My only complaint is that these books don't come fast enough!
