When my daughter's best friend confessed that my ex-wife blackmailed her onto the Sweetheart app, everything I thought I knew about my divorce went out the window.
Debbie is broke and trying to run a scam on lonely middle-aged the exact kind of man I was before Bailey became mine. Before her roommate negotiated her way into our arrangement. Before a nail tech wrote her number on my receipt and started sending me texts that make me feel like I'm ten feet tall.
Before I became the man I should've been for the last twenty-one years.
Getting the evidence means getting her out of our lives forever. All we have to do is catfish the make her think she's hooked the richest whale of her life and give her just enough rope to hang herself.
Oh. And the whale? Is me.
Keeping two coeds satisfied—and maybe adding another one to our group—is a tall order. Unlearning the behavior that kept me safe and harmless for my entire life is a taller one. But when the rewards include a gamer girl with a cosplay obsession and a woman half my age who spends every minute we're together auditioning for the role of my second wife, doing the hard thing is worth it.
As long as we can all keep it a secret.
Sweetheart Secret is an age-gap men's adventure with multiple relationships, no cheating/NTR, and a guaranteed HEA.
I know I should expect it from any book that Neil touches, but damn do they try way too hard to manufacture the drama. The book is ok, but literally EVERY TIME you get a feel good moment, the specter of Neil and his telenovela level drama comes crashing down. It’s kinda exhausting.
Tagged under "urban fantasy" because that's where I see "real-life" harems. I also consider a 43 yo male having sex 5-6 times a day and keeping up with multiple 19 yo girls fantasy. Checked this series out for the psychological aspects, I don't much care for the BDSM stuff. Now I'm just in it to see what happens when his daughter finds out he's banging all her friends.
I wasn't too happy with the direction the book was going at the end of book 2 and this book just confirmed my fears. Book 2 ended with McKenna blackmailing her way into having sex with the MC....not to join the existing relationship, or enter into her own with the MC, just for sex. This book picks up right after and yep, that's all there is to it, she just wants to have sex, nothing more.
This might change in future books, but I don't care to find out. It's one thing to add drama to the already established couple if she wanted to be with the MC romantically, but to threaten the relationship just to get your rocks off is just not a dynamic I'm interested in or a brand of "romance" that's in any way appealing to me.
Enough surprises to keep the reader guessing and involved. The characters are very interesting and full of life. The plot is brilliant and full of mystery. The metamorphosis of Tom while it always seems like the other shoe is about to drop is tantalizing and I look forward to him just showing the world his new self. Awesome writing! Very excited for Book 4!
This is another great continuation of a lovely slice of life love story. All the age gap and daddy stuff really does not do it for me but it does not distract from the story at all on my opinion, but if you're more sensitive to those kinks it might be good or bad for you depending haha. The spice is still great and I love all of the characters, I'll eagerly be looking forward to the next one.
Tom, I fucked around on your boring ass, divorced and destroyed you. You were suppose to shamble off and expire in misery. How Dare You, start dating younger women and enjoy your life, without ME to DIRECT you!
