I ride the fence
Level zero (the 100th level book 1) by Roland Lim appears to be the start of a series about dungeon diving! Book one is all about getting to the dungeon. Small group of five meet at a particular tavern. Two of the characters, Vaelith and Asha, are evidently searching for the legendary dungeon. At this point the dungeon has no name. In the tavern, these two encounter Kael and Ren, who seem to be searching for something although at this point it's not clear what. They also meet the fifth member of the party, Rook, a bard who owes some unscrupulous people some money. Through a series of events, Vaelith and Asha coerce or hire the other three to join them in their quest. The first stop seems to be a small town called Honeymill. It is here that they meet their guide Bram who agrees to lead them to the entrance to the dungeon for what seems an exorbitant amount of money. They enter the cave where the dungeon entrance lies. And then make their way through to actually enter the dungeon.
I really want to like this story. And to a certain degree I do. I think the author does a fair job of telling a story. My problem lies in that, for me, something is off about the format or the style. In the Kindle edition that I have, pretty much every sentence is a separate paragraph. I find it difficult to read. All of the characters seem to be the same. I'm not sure how many times the phrase "why can't they be both"appears after Rook has made some sort of joke and been corrected by someone, usually Asha. I will give kudos to the author/editor. I did not see very many editorial issues. In the world of ebooks, editing has gone out the window!
As I said, I ride the fence on this book. I will probably pick up book two to see if there are any improvements. I would recommend picking this book up yourself and trying it. It could be a very good fit for someone else.

Like a DnD dungeon crawl
A well written beginning to an old fashioned dnd adventure. The dialogue took a little getting used to-do it was spare to the point of being terse. The fighting sequences were pretty decent, as were the character personalities.
This has the makings of a good series.

quite a book
Never read a book like this before. Lots of scary and a little humorous. Hope their are not 99 more books
