Everyone at Greater Promise Community Church knows Pastor Stanley Carter.
Very few know the young woman sitting on the back pew.
Raised in his home but still searching for where she belongs, she struggles to embrace a faith that feels more expected than personal. As whispers spread and assumptions grow louder, she'll have to decide whether she's living for other people's approval or discovering God for herself.
RECKLESS*IRRESPONSIBLE*NEGLIGENT‼️Ugh 🥴, this Author Anniee Bee & her writing style just is not for me. “Saved…Sorta: A Short (Church as Usual series)” - Book 3 (2.50 ⭐️’s) was consistently abysmal. There are no Doctrinal options regarding sanctification & salvation. Likewise, either a person genuinely converts to Christ or not. Similarly, a woman can not be “sorta” pregnant nor a person be “kind of” dxxd, it’s categorically & clinically impossible‼️
I truly enjoyed this short story. I love the way that the church embraced her with open arms. I feel like this is a very realistic experience that many young people have when they first start going back to church. The author did a great job of showing the characters moments of insecurity and self-doubt. I would definitely read another book in this series by this author!
The first book is Danielle cheating with James who is married to Nicole. The second book is about someone stealing money from the church and some mysterious person brings it to Pastor Stanley and First Lady Vanessa’s attention. The third and final book is about Meagan who’s Pastor Stanley and First Lady Vanessa’s foster daughter giving her life to Christ. The thief still hasn’t been revealed.
I continue reading hoping the books would get better but yet the characters names are still being mixed up. One minute she’s Maya and the next Megan. And we still haven’t found out who the thief is from the last book😑
