Sent to me by Voracious Readers. The Devils Trinity explores some of the problems faced by law inforcement. Initially, it is trying to prove that someone with an exemplary record is capable of the crime. Unless one has very stromg grounds for suspicion, it is almost impossible to gain the necessary proof 'legally'. In this case a highly respected Oceanologist is, in fact, a Jihardi sympathiser who is smuggling nukes into an area that will case untold deaths and suffering to the 'evil' USA. The other problem is the fact that many in the US simply do not trust their police. Consequently, when Marsh doesn't tell his story completely, he finds himself and the woman he cares about in much deeper trouble than would have been the case. The storyline is believable and the plot reasonably fast paced, with a suitably pleasing ending.

The Devil's Trinity by Michael Parker is an intense thriller written with an abundance of experience by an accomplished writer. After surviving an accident at sea, Harry Marsham becomes an unsuspecting pawn in a race against time to prevent nuclear Armageddon, forced into a world of terrorism, CIA and US Navy seals as they race against time to stop a terrorist (Hakeem Khan) from decimating the eastern seaboard.

Michael Parker has written a very intense book with Harry Marsham as the main character. It has a good balance of action and story development and it moves quickly, Parkers experience and skill shows through just like his protagonists. Theres a good mix of tension and suspense, and the incorporation of numerous unexpected twists in his compulsive storytelling. This is a hugely entertaining read, dark, intense, with a protagonist you cannot help but care for.

A modern-day thriller written by Michael Parker. He writes Mystery & Thrillers, Historical Fiction, Action & Adventure. After reading this story I can be completely honest and say this book is nothing like I have ever read before, Michael Parker gave us a thrilling crime novel full of mystery, drama and a plot to keep you entertained the entire time. This book is slow paced, but all that gives you so many details and keys about the story and the characters so it will all make sense at the end, trust me. So, I truly enjoyed this one and will be looking for more from this author.

So, I just finished Michael Parker's "The Devil's Trinity" and, you guys, it's like going on a roller coaster with a spy novel in one hand and a travel brochure for 'Dangerous Waters' in the other. The main dude, Harry Marsham, is this underwater oceanographer who basically wins the Worst Vacation Ever award when his yacht gets smashed in the Caribbean. This isn't your typical "Oops, hit an iceberg" scenario; it's more like "Congrats, you're now in a spy thriller!"
Harry, who I'm pretty sure never asked for any of this, gets tangled up in this wild plot with Hakeem Khan, a terrorist with a plan so evil it could be a plot for a Bond movie. Parker, the author, must've done his homework or been a secret agent because the details in this book are like, super specific. It's like he's been on a submarine or two and isn't just Googling "cool navy stuff."
The writing style? It's like if a documentary and a blockbuster had a book baby. It's clear, direct, and makes you feel like you're right there, trying not to get blown up or whatever. But don't expect Shakespearean monologues; it's more like, "Hold onto your butts, things are about to get real."
Character-wise, Harry is relatable because he's just as confused as we would be if we suddenly had to stop a terrorist. It's not like he has a manual for this stuff. And the villain, Hakeem, is properly scary, like he could be lurking in your latte scary.
Now, don't get me wrong. The book sometimes feels like it's following the thriller playbook a bit too closely. You know, mysterious bad guys, world in danger, blah blah. But, Parker throws in enough curveballs to keep you guessing.
Overall, "The Devil's Trinity" is a solid, entertaining read. It's like eating popcorn – not super nutritious but definitely keeps you reaching for more. If you're into books that make you miss your subway stop because you're too busy wondering if the world's going to end, this one's for you.

The Devil's Trinity by Michael Parker
Enjoying this read because it's full of action, has technology and struggles with outside sources: communist party, etc.
Starts when two men are out on a leisure cruise in their boat when they lose all power. before they know it the ship has split in two and they are thrown into the deep ocean waters. One is dead and the other is able to survive long enough to find out what's going on and ends up on an island... A vessel had come up from under the sea to rendezvous with another ship to pass them cargo, all with no lights on...
I can really image this happening for real. There are twists and turns when another man ends up in a hospital in the locale and he's suffered radiation poisoning, some nuclear bombs were missing and all but one are accounted for...
CIA and other bureaus are also investigating and Marsh does not want to join the wrong side as they need his expertise in their mission.....
Can't read this book fast enough to find out more.
Looking forward to more works from this author, very descriptive details and some things about sailing I know about. He's done his research. Was so real with the submersible that had just exploded in the ocean.
Received this review copy from the publisher and this is my honest opinion.

If you are looking for a fully loaded suspense thriller comprised of terrorism and patriotism with a pinch of other interesting factors, then this could be your pick.

The book is about the experiences and battles of an underwater oceanographer, Harry Marsham, and CIA agent Remo Fransesini. Coming from two different backgrounds and aiming for the same goal, United has the same mission: to fight against the ultimate terror in the United States of America. Even though the factors were adverse and even their superiors were against them, their pledge to save their countrymen keeps them running. The so-called villain of this story, "Hakeem Khan," is intended to spread terror in the realms of America. This doesn't end here; nuclear wars, attacks, and Caribbean voodoo will serve as more engaging plots.

Overall, this book was a fully-packed suspense thriller. Each plot was well-written and captivating. The fast-paced subplots are engaging and a good page-turner.

The fifth novel The Devil's Trinity by Michael Parker, is set in the Caribbean and at the CIA's corporate office, and initially depicts a terrible situation. When Marsh and Greg are on their boat, the Ocean Quest, they are involved in an accident at sea. Helen remains in their office after Greg passes away. The plot follows CIA agent Remo as he looks into a radiation illness case involving an unnamed person. As it becomes apparent that three nuclear weapons have vanished from Uzbekistan, the narrative soon becomes intense. Business tycoon Hakeem Khan is leading an effort to topple the United States. He learns that the Challenger pilot's disappearance or demise has complicated his preparations. In a race against time, themes include kidnapping, brutality, and bravery, with vastly different lives becoming entangled. This is an interesting and compelling book, if a little slow in spots.

"The Devil's Trinity" by Michael Parker, was quite the reading journey! The plot was completely Intriguing and the characters were Well- rounded and well developed(especially the main protagonist). The story has a perfect mix of suspense and drama that kept me flipping the pages like a madwoman. There were moments where I'd gasp and others where I'd raise an eyebrow, thinking, "Well, i didn't see that coming!" I liked that the story didn't just stick to the typical tone but ventured into an array of various territories.

If you're looking for a read that's both nail bitingly tense and immersive, then i urge you to give this one a go. I'm sure you love it as much as I did! Definitely recommended, especially if you like an intense read.

This book starts with action and tension that persist until the final page. We come into the story with Marsh aboard a yacht that gets plowed through by a freighter. If that's not an attention grabber right from the jump, I don't know what is. Ultimately, Marsh pairs up with the CIA and works toward uncovering a massive plot against the US.

Parker does a great job painting the picture with words. The writing was okay, but overall, it was done well and didn't take me out of the story, which is a testament to how well done the plot and visual storytelling are. Parker has a handful of books out, and I'll be excited to see how the writing strengthens and grows. As this is my first by this author, I'll have to check out more!

I gave this book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. The story was interesting: a wealthy middle eastern oceanographer becomes a terrorist, using competing oceanographers in attempt to create havoc for the USA. The CIA is under the gun to stop him as time gets short.

One issue that continued throughout the book was a lack of proofreading. There were many spelling errors throughout the book. The book also had a lot of technical content that I’m sure required a lot of research. However, the author should have known that the US Navy does not fly F-16 aircraft. As a former naval aviation technician, that bothered me a bit.

Overall, it was a good read with a lot of action.

It was fine, but not great. Writing was sloppy. A number of scenarios that just didn't seem like it would happen the way it was written from interpersonal exchanges to military stuff. Not to mention F-16s on the cover when the book was talking about F-15s. :P

Explosive from page one. This thriller grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. CIA agent Remo Francesini is a brilliant lead, flawed, relentless, and human. The blend of espionage, nuclear tension, and voodoo mysticism makes for a truly original plot.

The Devil's Trinity by Michael Parker has a slowish speed to this book with just enough suspense to keep you wanting more. There is good mix of historical fiction, thriller and an oceanic theme. When Marsham survives the wreck and gets thrown into terrorist battle with Al Qaeda the action begins. This is a great read for those you are looking for an action packed thriller mixed terrorism. Not like any book I've read before, give it a try.

This is an exciting and suspenseful story. It takes you deep into a scary plot about the al Qaeda group turning to eco-terrorism.

The main character, David Marsham, teams up with CIA agent Remo Francesini. They are looking into a sick person with radiation sickness. The story gets more interesting with sunken ships, things happening underwater, and a bit of voodoo, making it really exciting and mysterious.

The story cleverly brings together the worries of CIA agent Remo Francesini, who is pushed by his bosses to protect the country from a big danger. As things get more serious, we meet Harry Marsham, the ocean expert. He survives a ship accident, and this leads to a very important fight against the famous explorer Hakeem Khan. Khan wants to attack weak spots in America, and the characters go on a dangerous journey involving kidnapping, Caribbean voodoo, nuclear weapons, and the scary possibility of something really bad happening.

You might like to wander through a few artistic journals — they’re full of sparks and surprises.

It was a good plot with interesting characters.

I admit I would have given it 5*****. However, if an Englishman[E] is going to write an American[A] story, then I expect it to be written using American English, i.e., hello instead of hallo, realize instead of realise, traumatized instead of traumatised, etc. I read the first 5 chapters and then read the last 3 because of this. Great story Mr. Parker but I will not buy anymore of your books. From now on I am going to download a free sample first of any book when I am unfamiliar with the author. I have too many of this type of American books written by Englishmen or women that are just sitting up in the clouds. If the story is based in England then I enjoy them thoroughly. A good example is THE HURRICANE DRIFT by Pamela Lane. Awesome action and adventure disaster book!

This story has the al Qaeda moving to eco-terrorism as they try to set off three nuclear devices buried in the seabed between Florida and the Bahamas. The end result would devastate the U. S. east coast and the Gulf of Mexico, at a bare minimum. David Marsham, an oceanographer and part owner of an underwater survey company accidentally gets involved when he survives a shipwreck, and ends up in a hospital at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Coincidentally, a CIA agent, Remo Francesini, is there also, investigating a patient suffering from radiation poisoning. There are shipwrecks, underwater action, and even some voodoo. The book might have spent a little more time with the proofreaders. There are enough misspelled words/wrong words to be distracting. Other than that, it is an interesting story with some interesting twists and turns.

The Devil's Trinity by Michael Parker is a thriller piece of work that presents its main character, Harry Marsham, as a “lucky” man who barely escapes after a tragic event in which the yacht he and his friend were on is hit and destroyed by a mysterious ship. From there, he found himself entangled in conspiracies involving secret and military organizations, terrorists, and many more.

The plot is interesting, and the beginning magnified my interest, but as I was reading, I could not feel a little bothered by the way of expression and how different institutions work. I know it's fiction, but I like it when the author at least tries to make sense of the connections he or she makes.

Boring and convoluted

Started slow and relaxed. Way too much describing of unimportant things. Not worth the time it. Took to download. Less than good reviews do not need to be verbose.
