An aging Nob Hill gossip columnist with a World War I espionage background was recruited to hunt the Axis Powers' spies. I've known the author, Henry Eason for a long time, so it was with anticipation of a good read that I purchased and read Into the Pacific Fog. I wasn't disappointed. The author's journalism expertise shows in his thoroughly researched and investigated settings, history of the war in that specific place, and in the development of the characters. From the beautiful Kara, to the manly Hunter, the characters are drawn not just from the imagination, but knowing Henry Eason, from his own life experiences.
