An Apothecary in Bramble: The Trouble with Tea- A cozy fantasy in a small village with found family

Rate this book
In the small town of Bramble, Lucy Walker's tea has never once done anyone harm. Ten years behind the counter of Fern's apothecary shop, and she's measured out the same blend for half the town without a second thought.

Until Alma Thorne shows up with a racing heart, a metal taste she can't place, and three sleepless nights that started the moment she began drinking Lucy's tea.

With her theory-prone assistant Cobb convinced it's a curse, old Pettigrew mishearing everything into a fresh catastrophe, and her patient mentor Fern trusting her to sort it out, Lucy has to track the trouble to its source before it reaches anyone else's cup — starting with a shop full of jars she thought she knew, and ending somewhere she never expected to have to go.

It's not the kind of mystery anyone will write a song about. But in Bramble, that's usually exactly the kind worth solving.

An Apothecary in Bramble is Book One of Bramble Remedies, a cozy fantasy mystery series for readers who like their stakes gentle, their shops warm, and their small towns just a little too talkative for anyone's own good.
