Read this a dozen times in the late 70s and loved the fusion of boyhood grit and Habs glory. 40 years on, it shows its age a bit, and the stories seem a bit contrived, but it will always have a place in my heart.

I read this at about age 12 when I was reading a lot of sports novels written for teens. This was my favorite of the genre.
