Jim Groves is back with Volume 2 of his weird horror anthology, and somehow it's even better than the first.
Now don't get me wrong, Volume 1 was fantastic. But this collection just hit differently. Every story brought something unique to the table, and once I started, I couldn't put it down.
One of my favourite things about anthologies is discovering new authors, and this one absolutely delivered. It was great to see familiar names I already love, like Tim King, alongside newer favourites such as Laura Bilodeau, plus plenty of writers I'd never come across before but will definitely be adding to my TBR.
If you're a fan of strange, unsettling, imaginative horror, this collection deserves a place on your shelf.

First of all, who wouldn't like a graphic anthology that includes some of the most deranged brains in modern horror? There are fifteen strange slasher stories written by fifteen different authors in this book.
Every story is unique in its own way—brutal, bizarre, unsettling, and downright disturbing. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down because I was constantly wondering just how shocking, gruesome, or completely unhinged the next story would be.

Intense and unsettling, this collection has a little something for everyone. I was surprised at how many different directions these stories went. Not once could I guess where a story was going to go.

Excellent anthology!

There's a little something for everyone in this great anthology! Christmas horror, supernatural horror, cannibals, horror at sea, resurrection, serial killers, revenge and so much more! There's laughs and plenty of gore.

Here are my favorites:

Tabitha by Timothy King combined grief with mad science and delivered a story that was deranged and a bit sad.

I Pass For Human by Ricardo D. Rebelo drew me in right away. A man confessing to murders and the end has quite the twist!

Harpoon Through The Taint by Phrique is a bit comedic and a whole lot gruesome! The opening scene with the teeth! Whyyyy???!!!

The Butcher by Nikk Valentine is serial killer vs cannibals. I loved the cannibal family. They were psychotic but loveable.

Inflatated Doom by Matt Brandenburg was definitely a treat! A killer beach ball is all I'm going to say.

Mr. Zeppole by Matt Forgit freaked me right out! Written as transcripts of found VHS tapes I imagined this is what it would be like to read transcripts of the footage from Blair Witch or the video from The Ring. Forgit for sure stepped outside his comfort zone with this one!

Check out this anthology if you want to be disgusted, terrified and amused!

Bizarre Splatter Patterns: A Bizzaro Splatterpunk Anthology was terrifying good and oh so strange. If you are looking for a few dark twisted yet bloody odd stories then this anthology is perfect for you.
You will find some great authors in this fun yet sick collection. Don’t think to much about what you are getting yourself into just do it and enjoy the twisted collage of messed up tale from start to finish.

This collection of 15 stories contains some of the most weird and fantastical tales I've ever read, all focused on the slasher trope. This was such a fun read, and your imagination can really run wild, with the authors taking you on a wacky trip that'll leave you wondering what on earth you just read! I shall definitely be reading more from these authors.
