Inmitten der Zeit des 2. Weltkriegs suchen vier ungarische Freunde, drei davon jüdischer Herkunft, nach Hoffnung, Orientierung, Kraft und dem Sinn ihres Lebens. Während siebzehn Monaten überliefert eine von ihnen, Hanna Dallos, bildende Künstlerin und Lehrerin, Botschaften, die von Gitta Mallasz und Lili Strausz in direkter Mitschrift notiert werden.
Diese Überlieferungen, welche die vier Freunde ursprünglich als „Unterweisungen“ bezeichnen, finden mit der Deportation von Hanna Dallos und Lili Strausz im Dezember 1944 von Budapest nach Ravensbrück ihr abruptes Ende.
Gitta Mallasz überlebt als einzige der Freunde den 2. Weltkrieg und veröffentlicht die gemeinsam gemachte Erfahrung erstmals im Jahr 1976 in französischer Sprache. Es handelt sich um ein einzigartiges Dokument über eine Sinnsuche und das Streben nach einem neuen, wahren, lichterfüllten Leben inmitten der nationalsozialistischen Dunkelheit und Grausamkeit. Im Mittelpunkt steht die unversiegte Hoffnung auf einen „Neuen Menschen“, der Spaltungen überwindet und erlösende Einheit verwirklicht.
Hanna Dallos und Gitta Mallasz wurden beide 1907 geboren. Im Jugendalter befreundeten sie sich an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Budapest. Jahre später gründeten sie mit Hannas Ehemann Joszef Kreutzer eine erfolgreiche Ateliergemeinschaft. Zum engen Freundeskreis gehörte bald auch Lili Strausz, eine innovative Bewegungspädagogin jüdischer Abstammung.
Die hier dokumentierten Gespräche und Unterweisungen fanden zwischen Juni 1943 und November 1944 in Budaliget und Budapest statt. Hanna Dallos, Lili Strausz und Joszef Kreutzer starben während eines Gefangenentransports und in einem Konzentrationslager im März 1945. Gitta Mallasz emigrierte 1960 aus Budapest nach Paris, wo sie die erste Publikation der gemeinsam gemachten Erfahrung an die Hand nahm. Das Dokument wurde seitdem in viele Sprachen übersetzt und ist auf große Resonanz gestoßen.
1992 starb Gitta Mallasz in Frankreich.
Im Mai 2012 wurde sie von Yad Vashem für die Rettung von über hundert jüdischen Frauen und Kindern als „Gerechte unter den Völkern“ ausgezeichnet.

How can one review a book that speaks truth? How does one exert their own opinion and world philosophy on radiant hope and light, that encompasses so much more than our own existence.
The best reaction to books like this and A Course In Miracles is to accept and practice.
That said, one of my favorite quotes is "Ask only from Heaven; to the earth, give!" And I have many, many quotes underlined.

La respuesta del ángel me ha parecido una lectura profundamente frustrante, ya que lo que promete ser un testimonio de luz en pleno horror nazi termina disolviéndose en una amalgama de mensajes crípticos y abstractos que esquivan la realidad. Me resultó incomprensible que, estando escrito en uno de los contextos más atroces de la historia y con tres protagonistas judíos que terminaron en campos de concentración, los supuestos diálogos angélicos sean tan extrañamente distantes y poéticos. Eché en falta una conexión real con el sufrimiento humano de aquel momento; en su lugar, encontré una filosofía densa, repetitiva y pretenciosa que se asemeja a una corriente de la nueva era antes de tiempo. Además, la lectura se me hizo muy cuesta arriba debido a su estructura fragmentada y a enseñanzas tan abiertas a la interpretación que no conducen a ninguna conclusión práctica, generando un gran vacío. Al final, el tono mesiánico de Gitta Mallasz se percibe más como un ejercicio de autojustificación espiritual que como un documento histórico fiable, por lo que siento que el libro carece por completo de anclaje con la realidad.

A lady from my Facebook-based INFJ group recommended this book to me one day after I vented my disappointment concerning a friendship gone sour.
The premise is that four friends meet together every Friday, during WWII, to talk to and hear from angels from Heaven. One of the women relays messages from each of the other friends' guardian angels while Gitta, the author, records them. Eventually, three of the four friends are killed in concentration camps, but Gitta manages to save most of the notes which she subsequently publishes.
What I took from the many wisdom nuggets was mainly that we often rush through life without savoring each moment. Unhappiness is caused by not living our purpose. When we surrender to the purpose hidden in all actions, we will be doing the will of God. Distraction comes when we aren't aligning out purpose with His. When we are focused, we are less aware of ourselves and in the "flow" of HIs will.

Un livre assez intriguant, qui soulève beaucoup de questions. Le texte est parfois très clair, parfois énigmatique. En fait, souvent énigmatique. Je dirais même qu'on n'y comprend rien la plupart du temps.
Dans ce sens, cela peut inciter à laisser le livre de côté et ne plus l'ouvrir...
Paradoxalement, les dialogues éveillent finement la curiosité.
Les textes narratifs de Gitta Mallasz qui ponctuent quelques fois les dialogues avec l'Ange sont bouleversants car ils nous plongent dans l'ambiance de la Hongrie durant la seconde guerre mondiale.
La fin est déchirante.
Je reste perplexe après cette étrange lecture. Mais je peux dire que j'ai parfois eu l'impression que le texte répondait à mes propres questions dans les moments les plus justes de ma vie. C'est-à-dire que les réponses tombaient parfaitement.
Dialogues avec l'Ange est un ouvrage surprenant.

It's hard to believe stories like this. Maybe it happened. Maybe it was misinterpreted. Maybe it's a complete fabrication. Who knows.
People are looking for answers and we all relate to the questions, but the answers were weird. They were puzzles more than answers. And frankly, I don't believe in some of the answers they gave.
However, whatever answers they received gave them strength enough to get through the Holocaust and for that I respect what was said. Miracles did happen and some people were spiritually stronger than others. For that I'm glad for these people.

This is not an easy or comforting book, but it is a powerful one. Talking with Angels presents spiritual teachings that are direct, uncompromising, and deeply challenging. Rather than offering reassurance, it asks the reader to take responsibility for attention, for work, for love, and for how one lives.
The dialogue format feels stark and at times severe, but there is a deep honesty and reverence beneath it. This is a book I don’t rush through or casually recommend, it’s something to sit with, return to, and absorb slowly. Profound, demanding, and quietly transformative.

In the early days of World War II, something remarkable happened. A group of friends were contacted by an angel and received earth-shaking messages for years. This is channeling before channeling was a "thing." The messages are familiar to those who listen to other channels: Esther Hicks, Darryl Anka, Lee Harris, Sheila Gillette--but they came VERY early on.

July 29, 2011Ce livre est d'une grande intensité spirituelle. L'enseignement des Anges est d'autant plus troublant qu'il se manifeste dans une période de barbarie. Certaines révélations restent mystérieuses car difficilement interprétables à notre niveau d'évolution. D'autres se présentent comme des évidences. En tout cas elles montrent à quel point l'homme patauge encore à la superficie de ce qu'il pourrait être.
