First of all Waguri is gonna be THE MOST ADORABLE doctor 😭😭😭😭like if she'd give me one of her adorable smile , I'd willing put my vein on the needle part of the syringe 😭🤚🏻 + I love how subtly we were shown the development in Rintaro and Waguri's relationship like you can see them growing as a couple which is so darn adorable, beautiful and heartwarming all at once 🥹.

I'm literally cry, screaming, throwing up and what not?!! Their progress in volume 15 and 16 had me smiling like crazy 😭🤚🏻. QUALITY IS STILL ON POINT EVEN 14 VOLUMES IN I LOVE YOU SAKA MIKAMI
this series makes me feel like a little girl why am i literally squealing and blushing and eeking with no remorse in my little bedroom. wow how do people do this relationship thing irl i think i would collapse and fall on the floor just to never get up again?? reading khwrts actually makes me sit back and contemplate life and love and relationships and everything complicated. LORD IF YOU EXIST PLEASE MAKE MY MAN LIKE THIS I WOULD NEVER LET HIM GO ISTG EARRINGS AND ALL. every chapter is a BANGER and leaves me breathless i cant do this anymore what drugs did you put into this ms mikami because i start tweaking and my heart hurts. FINALLY I AM BACK TO THIS MANGA. I left this to marinate after I tore through it a couple months ago😭. But as soon as I started reading this again I just felt so healed and happy. Genuinely my favourite romance manga. It’s so wholesome and healing. This volume was no exception to that. I loved it so MUCH. FROM THE PRESENT TO THE NEW YEARS DATE TO SOTARO MEETING WAGURI TO THE GUYS AND GIRLS TEASING WAGURI AND RINTARO AFTER THEUR DATE AND LEARNING ABOUT THEIR KISS TO RINTAROS BIRTHDAY AT THE THEM PARK TO THE HAUNTED HOUSE RIDE TO SAKU AND HOSHINA GETTING A TABLE TOGETHER TO THEM STUDYING TOGETHER ALONE AND MAYBE FEELINGS GROWING BETWEEN THEM❤️❤️❤️. IT WAS ALL TOO MUCH AND NOT ENOUGH AT THE SAME TIME.

Estos chicos son mi relax del día, me pongo con ellos y me evado de todo y dejo de pensar. La historia me encanta y es tan bonito, tanto en ilustración como en historia, lo estoy disfrutando mucho. Me va a dar mucha pena cuando me ponga al día y no pueda leer muchos capítulos seguidos, los echaré mucho de menos. Por cierto estoy deseando ver la siguiente temporada del anime, tengo que ver más de ellos animado ya que es espectacular.

Rest assured that there’s more drama on the cover of this volume than there is in the actual pages contained therein. Heaven forfend anything upset the feelings of these delicate kids.
I’m always going to be a bit snarky about how effortless this makes being good friends. Sure there’s a lot going on in their lives, but it never seems to take much effort to resolve. It’s a good life lesson in being a true friend, but as compelling reading it doesn’t excite me.
Yet it’s still really good, don’t get me wrong. I just wish it was more than what it is at this point. It gets a little of its early volume charms back towards the end because it finally moves a needle I’ve been waiting ages to see budge even slightly, but more on that in a bit.
We briefly swim through the aftermath of Kaoruko and Rintaro having kissed, which, needless to say, has basically broken their brains. There’s lots of rumination and feelings in the air, along with a cute little impromptu date.
Business as usual, essentially, as things move along to the new year and shrine visits and people being happy. Rintaro’s brother shows up and, for a split second, I thought he was going to start hitting on Kaoruko, but it’s merely prelude to more nice.
Once school resumes, Kaoruko gets grilled about her Christmas date, which serves to reiterate Subaru’s lack of interest in romance. The brief moments of acceptance from the other girls makes it briefly feel like this might be veering into ace/aro representation, but… that’s a long shot for the story.
Rintaro’s upcoming birthday provides an excuse for everybody to just hang out at an amusement park and, yes, get along and have fun. Classic 80’s cheeseball cartoon The Get Along Gang literally didn’t get along this well.
The most interesting part of that park visit is a sudden opportunity for Natsusawa to ask to help Subaru study. Thus begins the crystallizing of a relationship that has been vaguely hinted at for a while now through various bits of dialogue.
Of course, let us adjust expectations because this will take a while. But that study non-date does breathe life into this because it goes back to the uncertainty and confusion over feelings from the start of the series, yet with a different couple.
Subaru was kind of a misery at the start, so seeing her overcome her issues with males and spending time with Natsusawa is kind of a nice evolution. Mikami-san is pulling out all the stops here, with Subaru’s reveal going super hard in the art department, plus the way she perks up when she sees Natsusawa.
It’s nice to see more of Subaru’s daily routine as well; this gives her so much more depth than just having a fear of guys. Seeing her and Natsusawa slowly being drawn to one another is also nice and romantic, without being too much. It may amount to nothing, but I very much doubt it.
That part was my favourite part of the book, just because it took the usual saccharine vibe and did something a bit different with it. Again, there’s nothing wrong with this, genuinely, but it really feels entirely too easy at times.
4 stars - main relationship still acceptably written, pending secondary relationship very well done. That latter aspect definitely gives the whole thing a welcome freshness it hasn’t had for a bit.

Are we getting back to back amazing volumes? Yes, we absolutely are and I’m here for it. I loved this volume just as much as the previous one. Sure, it doesn’t have a moment as big as Rintaro and Kaoruko’s first kiss but it’s consistently delivering such amazing scenes that I can’t help but love it.
First of all, we obviously have the aftermath of the kiss, aka none of them getting any sleep at night because of it which is just adorable. I also have to mention Kaoruko giving Rintaro her Christmas present cause it was very cute and it’s nice to see Rintaro actually wear the earrings.
And then there’s the New Year and I love that Kaoruko and Rintaro “run into” Sotaro. Also love how Sotaro and Kaoruko hit it off and that they get along so well. But the best thing was how flustered Rintaro was to leave them alone when he went to wash his hands in the bathroom. His facial expression was priceless.
I also really enjoyed Rintaro’s birthday and how they went to the theme park together. I especially loved the scary ride with Kaoruko being scared and holding on to Rintaro, but also how Usami and Saku were clinging on to each other cause that was hilarious. Oh and Saku and Subaru holding the table was also great (I ship these two together so hard oh my god).
But the best scene for me was the study session. I just love Subaru and Saku together so much and I need them to actually realize they have feelings for each other. We could see the setup for it here with Saku not being able to look away from her and Subaru having this strange feeling inside her when he leaned closer to her.

[3.75] This was such a fun and cozy read. I really enjoyed seeing how the characters handled the little shifts after the kiss, it had that soft, slightly awkward charm that feels so real. Rintaro’s birthday at the amusement park was ridiculously sweet, giving us those heart-melting moments. And then we got that extra sprinkle of cuteness with Natsusawa and Subaru, which I was already expecting but still absolutely loved. The whole volume felt like a breather, not heavy or dramatic but instead a warm and lighthearted pause where the characters just get to be together and honestly, it was a joy to read.

This volume felt a bit flat even though a lot of important moments happened for Kaoruko and Rintaro's relationship, from New Year's to Rintaro's birthday. There were plenty of sweet and funny moments between them as always.
What interested me the most, though, was seeing more development in Natsusawa and Hoshina's relationship. They both share the same plans for their future and even agreed to study together (which is basically a date disguised as studying lol??).
Overall, it's a pretty ordinary volume, but still an enjoyable one because we finally get some progression for the side couple.

I have no words because I was screaming for all the final part of the book
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW WE CAN SEE DEVELOPMENT IN SAKU AND SUBARU RELATIONSHIP??
I loved how we could see saku falling for Subaru and he thought she was just being polite like with other boys. SAKU, WHO ELSE??? BECAUSE SUBARU ONLY HAD BEEN WITH YORITA AND USAMI.

After being in their winter break for their Christmas date, both Kaoruko and Rintaro shared a special event on that night as they had their moment!! This was also a nice peek into the life of Rintaro's brother, Sotaro. Additionally, the gang celebrated Rintaro's birthday. On the other hand, this is where it all began. Chapter 108. Let's all slowly journey with Saku and Subaru's blooming "friendship" as they both have their study session!

I can’t stop with the mangas. I’m just to invested into these characters and I wanna know more. We got Natsusawa and Subaru making their first babysteps. I just love them all so much. I’ll be so happy, if the season 2 of the show will air.
