Cornelia Amiri was introduced through books to the woman who became her favorite historical character, Boudica. The Celtic Warrior Queen made her start writing professionally. Cornelia loves history and in reading a book about the dark ages, she came across the rebel queen, who inspired Cornelia so much, she started jotting down notes, but they were fiction, visions of her involved in the Boudica revolt. Before Cornelia knew it, she’d accidentally written a rough draft for a novel. And she’s been writing books on purpose ever since. Drawing on her love of a happy ending, Cornelia has written over 40 published romance books.
Now, for the more mundane stuff — Cornelia Amiri and her muse, Severus the Cat, live amid the hustle and bustle of sultry Houston, Texas. When not writing, Cornelia loves to read, watch movies, and attend comic cons. She is currently working on a sequel to Rare Finds and a sequel to The Brass Octopus, which she is renaming and republishing as The Librarian and the Rake.

Ian and Sorcha’s story is pretty good. It feels more like they’re in lust than love. When I read the blurb of the book, I was really looking forward to a great short story. I was a little let down because the way the blurb is wrote is the way the book is written. Not really any surprises. The passion the two share is great. I really love have Ian’s parents fuss back and forth with each other. There was some laughter.
So it was a pretty good story just not much to it.
This was a short hot story that stayed with me long after I read the book. I loved the world Cornelia Amiri created introducing the fey in this series and am looking forward to reading more.
6 novellas of the Baobhan Sith who are women from the Scottish folklore who are just like vampires but they don’t have fangs instead they have very sharp talons and they find their mates in these human men from the Highlands. Book 1 Dance of the Vampires. Book 2 Vampire Highland Fling. Book 3 A Bonnie Vampire Dancer. Book 4 Vampire Waltz. Book 5 Valkyrie Vampire Sword Dancing. Book 6 Some Vampires Shimmy. 6 fantastic short stories I loved them and the characters and I highly recommend this book.
A drunken night as the pub leads to danger for 7 brothers. Misadventure and bloodlust from disturbing 7 fey sisters. The youngest pair eventually fall in lust then love. Great historical tale.
This was a surprisingly different story of vampires, so different to what I am used to reading about. It is a nice love story but I prefer my vampires the usual way.
I received a complimentary copy of this book the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. I rated it 3 out of 5 stars.

One of Ian’s six brothers kicks over the stones of an ancient cairn, unknowingly freeing Sorcha and her six sisters from underhill. The seven handsome Scots are enchanted by the voluptuous temptresses until they turn on the men. Ian captures Sorcha, giving his brothers a chance to escape. With the dark fey woman still in his grasp, Ian is saved by the rising sun.
Her sisters vanish with the light of dawn and Sorcha is trapped in the mortal realm. The seductress can’t resist Ian’s attentions as he stirs throbbing urges she’s never felt before. Ian is bewitched by the wild delights offered by this vampire siren. He can’t get enough of her. Still, her wicked sisters and his highland brothers want nothing more than to attack and kill each other. Will Sorcha and Ian’s sizzling passion prove strong enough to overcome the differences between the dark fey and humans?
My Review: Dance of the Vampires is an enjoyable short read with a unique spin on Vampires and Fey. The seven sisters are baobhan sith-dancing vampires. I really liked this concept. This is a modern story with strong ties to local legends. Since this is such a quick book, there isn't a lot of character development but there's enough to like the them.
Sorcha experiences emotions she's not used to when Ian traps her above ground. Ian is drawn to Sorcha and can't stop thinking about her. The chemistry between them is almost instant with a lot of sexual tension. The sex scenes are intense and sizzling hot. Dance of the Vampires is perfect for a steamy lunch time read.
I know there are other short stories in this series and I would like to see Ms. Amiri combine them into one or two novels and fill in a lot of the blanks to make an excellent series or books.

This is a great introduction to the fey world. Two people whose love should not work, but it is their love that helps them overcome obstacles that are in the way. Love the characters. Even the characters who are to be the antagonist are, in the end, shown in a loving light. Can't wait to read more.
I've never read about Scottish vampires, but I will read more.
I loved this vampire story. I know nothing of Scottish lore but I think I will try to find out more. This is a love story that really does cross racial boundaries. I'm curious about her sisters' stories and look forward to reading them.
