Even by his standards as Steward of the Apocalypse, Dane Moses Stone is about to have a very bad day . . . in promising fantasy author Linc Hansen’s urban fantasy series Steward of the Apocalypse.
During the ancient days when dragons still wandered the earth, my family was tasked with preventing the Apocalypse. This stewardship has been passed down through generations until it came to me, Dane Moses Stone. Armed with the magical power entrusted to my bloodline and the lightning in my veins, I am the last line of defense against supernatural forces that would bring today’s urban world to its knees--and then some.
Think your job has a tough learning curve? Go ahead, live your fantasy.
Most Stewards train for decades before assuming the role. My training was cut short three years ago when my father disappeared.
If I fail, the weight of every man’s, woman’s, and child’s torment lays squarely on my shoulders.
This was a great book with a unique mix of Fantasy and Technology.... think Mission Impossible’s Ethan Hunt combined with Harry Potter. The book kept me reading into the night unable to put it down. I loved the characters and the authors sense of humor. There were lots of places I found myself laughing out loud.
I loved Bruce the bold. Marketing genius right there. I really enjoyed the fast pace and trouble, but should you expect anything less from the Steward of the Apocalypse?
From the first page to the last Awesomeness is happening on an epic scale. The fate of mankind hangs on the brink of disaster. I enjoyed reading this book. It's action packed and held my interest. The A.I. helper Tina is really cool. I though that was an interesting take on A.I. I can't wait until this Author comes out with their next book! I'd recommend Golem Protocol to any one who likes Harry Dresden or Iron Druid. Well worth the money!
Best book I've read this year. loved this book. In my opinion it is as good as the Iron Druid Chronicles or the Mercy Thompson series. I loved the ending, it was really well done. Definitely will be reading more from this author!
Awesome book. It's fast paced with a sweet take on urban fantasy. The ending is one of the most creative endings I've read. Definitely will be reading the next one!
Saw this book in an ad on Facebook; it's the type of book I like. The ad made comparisons to Dresden Files, my favorite series. Found it's part of the Kindle Limited so I decided to give it a try. I found the book to be ok to fine. It's got a good premise and decent "world building", but the protagonist seems to jump from one death defying adventure to another without stop. I don't think this story took over a week in his life and he averaged a near death experience at least 7 times. Despite that, I will definitely read the next one hoping the author and his editor works out the kinks.
It is a very interesting story with some excellent ideas. Could use some help when it comes to really explaining the character and the characters motivations. Also some of the background would be massively helpful to explain what is going on. The pace is excellent and the overall story is decent seems like the author could use a better editor or just some descent alpha readers. Would recommend it and I will be reading the next book when it comes out.
This was a great book and a lot of fun to read. I love the mix of magic and technology and the characters were interesting. This book is a winner and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
