Oops, I Dated a Werewolf: A High-Heat MM Werewolf Monster Romance

Rate this book
Audris Kalna has ten days to save his bar.

The last thing he needs is Raivo Eglis, the terrifying werewolf regular who drinks black coffee at the end of the counter, walking in with a pack-sealed problem and asking for a date.

Not a real date. A fake one. One night at a werewolf pack supper, just convincing enough to stop a political mate petition that would hand Raivo’s future, his territory, and Audris’s bar to a rival pack.

Audris knows better than to step into wolf law. He knows better than to wear another man’s scent, stand in front of a room full of predators, and pretend he belongs beside the most dangerous creature there.

But rent is due. The rival is circling. And Raivo’s controlled, possessive restraint is starting to feel less like a threat and more like the one place Audris wants to stay.

One fake date was supposed to buy them time.

The full moon has other plans.

Wolf politics and a bar owner

Wow! This book was so much more than I had expected. The werewolf world building is insane! Pack laws and mating challenges, the author did an amazing job of opening up a secret world and inviting the reader in. The romance is not exactly slow burn, but not instalove either. It's a steady growth - the controlled movement of two males that have never really relied on anyone else, and who find themselves inexplicably drawn to the other. The "trying to get out of an arranged marriage" trope is taken to a new height here and I literally devoured this book in one sitting - barely breathing in suspense and anticipation. This is seriously one of the best wolf/human romance stories I've read! It's unique, a little dark, and utterly captivating. I love Rook Brennan's books and I honestly give my recommendation for this volume. 5/5*

Oops

This book has the potential to be so much more. The plot makes sense but the story dies not flow consistently. It is sometimes confusing. The ere is a human who enters into an agreement with a werewolf to save his bar. But the way to save the bar is confusing. I think this book could be cut in half and make more sense.

This was a very quick read and I really enjoyed it.
There wasn’t much time for character development but the story was good without it. The author even managed to get a little spice in there.
